  hello, I have groups on my site and the urls have the following hierarchy: / groups / {id_group} / / groups / {id_group} / news / groups / {id_group} / gallery / groups / {id_group} / events / groups / {id_group} / events / {id_event} / groups / {id_group} / events / {id_event} / news / groups / {id_group} / events / {id_event} / gallery / groups / {id_group} / events / {id_event} / news As you can see a group can have news, gallery, etc. and in turn an event that is in a group can also have news, gallery, etc. How to implement this approach in a framework without specifying any specific one?, ie I would like some guidance on what would have modules, controllers, etc. Thanks.

• jquery selector for td in a table

  i want to get a event that will fire when i click inside a td of a html table i had this: ('td').live('click', function() { alert($(this).attr('id')); }); which works but this fires inside the 'th" cells as well (not sure why). is there any selector that just fires inside td's and not th's. I tried this: ('tbody td').live('click', function() { alert($(this).attr('id')); }); but that didn't seems to stop this firing for the th's.

  hey all , background - I'm using an activx that allow me to access some information on the client side, By using the activex events and callback i'm updating server side from client. i wrote a user control that register all activex's events so when one of the events occuer there is a callback to the server that handle this event. I need to write some other user controls based on this control so on every callback this user controls will be render on the client side. My question is - what is the best way to make a shared infrastructure that handle this events and render the right content base on user controls? is there any other ways i can use ? thanks!

• Dates search in Drupal (greater than, less than) using CCK / views / facelet?

  I'm working in a site that manage events (like parties). Each event could have several fields, including date, that the user could add thanks to CCK module. Now, the problem is when I have to search using those fields. I could not find how to search for events between a range of dates. I discover the facelet module, which is pretty good, and it is very useful for some kind of search, but as far as I can see it is not possible search in a range. Also I do some testing using views, but again, with no results. I can not find how to search a date "greater than" and "less than". I will really appreciate any help.

• Get notified when some other application acquires wake lock

  I am wondering if the following is possible in android. I want to have my application do a certain task whenever the phone get awoken. Whenever some other application acquires a wake lock to do it's task, I want my application to do something of its own. Can I get notified through an intent using a broadcast receiver about this event? If so, what will happen if that other application finishes before my task ends? The reason I'm asking is that I don't want to wake the phone up to do my task and affect the battery life. I want to take the opportunity of the wake lock to do my thing.

  I'm trying to create hidden iframes in my page dynamically to load 3 other pages so that i can grab all the HTML and combine them into 1 in a new window. However i'm stuck at this. tHe frames are created fine. But whenever the javascript runs to the part of openNewWindow(); { var printWindow = window.open("",""); printWindow.document.open(); printWindow.document.write(HTMLfromFrames); printWindow.document.close(); } i get this error: TypeError: Result of expression 'printWindow' [undefined] is not an object. but if i generate a button to call this function seperately, it works fine. however i need it to run all in one click event Anybody as any idea what's wrong? • C#, hover over bitmap pixel and get the coordinates?

  Hi, does anyone know how to do this? I presume it uses some sort of event handler but i wondered if anyone could set me on my path? Also, how does one show that yellow textbox which sometimes appears when you hover over processional software and it gives some information about what to fill in the textfield, thats perferably how i wish to show the coordinates? I dont know the name of what its called. In IE 8, if you hover over the name of a tab, it comes up. Thank you in advance

• Iframe contents not accessible from a page in different domain

I am able to get the event notification whenever Google Finance page loads. Now problem is this that contents of this page is not accessible through javascript. It seems to be some security issue (firebug notified). Is there any workaround so that I can access values (result and select boxes) using javascript? • How do I Capture native (Menu) button presses in PhoneGap?

  By calling "BackButton.override();" and then hooking on to the backKeyDown event, I am able to get the back button press to register. But there doesn't appear to be a "MenuButton.override();" Also, hooking on the menuKeyDown doesn't register a button press. Here's my (non-functional) code. • MovieClip progress bar width is too small relative to parent container

  I am new to ActionScripot and Flash and I am stuck with the following problem: On the stage I have a movieclip (Container, originally 200px width) and inside it with a progressbar movieclip (originally 700px width), scaled with Free Transform Tool to fit the parent container. The width of the container changes run-time while resizing the scene. In ActionScript I have a function which should set the progress bar width according to a calculated percentage value: private function updateProgress(event:TimerEvent):void { var barWidth:int = _container.width; var progress:Number = _stream.time / _stream.duration * barWidth; _progressBar.width = progress; } My problem is that the progressBar even at full time (100%) is only at 1/4 of the parent container. I assume that it comes from the symbols original size. Can I correct this programatically, or I must redesign it with the "designer"? I hope I made clear my problem, as I said, I'm new in Flash. • Jquery UI Dialog Empty On Auto-Open

  I am having a somewhat strange error with my jquery dialog. When I have it autoopen, the dialog box is completely empty. If I exit out of the dialog and then reopen (through the standard dialog open event) the content appears. The jquery setup: $("#content_locker").dialog({ autoOpen: true, modal: true, height: 600, width: 800 }); Here you can see the webpage that I am working on (it is a link-shortening service). The dialog div starts on line 148 of the source: <div id="content_locker" title="Exclusive Content"> You will see that the dialog is empty. If you exit out and click on the unlock button, the proper html is there. Any ideas?

  Hi, i initialize instance variables in .h file, NSInteger saveValue0, saveValue1, saveValue2, saveValue3; NSMutableArray *nodeArray; Now in .m file, in viewWillAppear event, saveValue0 = 0; saveValue1 = 2; saveValue2 = 3; saveValue3 = 0; nodeArray = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithObjects:saveValue0, saveValue1, saveValue2, saveValue3, nil]; But above variable does not inserted in the array. When i trying to see the objects in array using break point, it gives me 0 objects present in nodeArray. Why it will give me 0 objects. Any reason behind that?

• WPF binding: Doing a temperature converter app

  Hi there, I'm doing a little app that basically has 2 text boxes. You'll enter Fahrenheit into TextBoxA and Celsius into TextBoxB. As the text changes in TextBoxA I want the equivalent Celsius value to be displayed in TextBoxB and vice versa. I can come up with a solution pretty easy for this but i'm trying to be a little clever. Is there a way to do it all in Xaml except for a Convert class that does the maths? So basically I want the TextChanged event of one textBox to pass in it's value into a Converter class that is evaluated and sent to the other TextBox and visa versa. Anyone know how I can achieve this ... and if it's possible at all?

• Datepicker (1.8rc3) not transferring date in IE6

  Using jquery-1.4.2 and jquery-UI 1.8rc3, I instantiated a datepicker on a text input with showOn: 'focus'. The datepicker appears correctly. However when I click on a date, the datepicker doesn't disappear and the dateStr doesn't get transferred to the text input. I tried adding an onClose: handler that calls alert(dateStr). The event fires but no dateStr has been set. Everything works fine in Firefox. I have Microsoft Script Debugger installed but no script errors were detected. I did report this as a potential problem at the jQuery UI forums but my message has been sitting there awaiting moderation for hours and I figured someone here might have a suggestion. $().ready(function() { $(".date").datepicker({ showOn: 'focus', onClose: function(dateText) { alert(dateText); } }); });

• How to apply dynamically scale down and up into a thumbnail images size?

  I'm working on one current project, I don't have any issues to load a SWF into a main SWF but I can't figure out how to apply dynamically the scale down and up into a thumbnail images size while using the Resize event handler. I load SWF into a Loader object then add it into a container = currentMC. I want to size it and keep all the pieces inside this container. Therefore no matter browser size, I just want to be able to apply scale on it to fit it. Does anyone know how to do that? Any code examples would help me a lot. I'm using Flash.

• Adding a border (Fixed3D) to an existing borderless application

  Hi there, I have an .NET application that always starts itself with its border style to 'None', as it is supposed to be an full-screen application with a fixed resolution. However, i would like to add the window border (Fixed3D) to this window when the application starts so that I am able to move it around my desktop. My first idea was to have a tray app running, monitoring event messages, and somehow change the window style when this specific application starts. • Dispatcher.CheckAccess() isn't working from my console application, is there a better way.

  I wrote an application in WPF / VB and separated the business logic and UI into different projects. The business layer uses a serial port which runs on a different thread, Now that I'm trying to write a command line interface for the same business layer, it seems to fail when .Invoke() is called. (no error, just doesn't work) I'm pretty sure the reason I had to add in checkaccess and .invoke was because I have collections that would be changed during processing the serial port data and wanted the NotifyCollectionChanged to be handled by WPF data binding. (The reason I'm not 100% sure is because it was months ago I wrote that part and it all worked great from the GUI, now adding the console app has made me rethink some of this) I would like my business layer to run these processes on the thread they were created, I need this to work from both my GUI version and the command line version. Am I misusing the Dispatcher in my business layer? Is there a better way to handle an event from the serial port, and then return to the main thread to processes the data?

Tag with text can't be inside the DIV. Playing with z-index didn`t help. My browser is IE8.

• Ruby on Rails - can't access datetime model object

  I've created a model that has 3 string columns and a datetime. Everything is running in SQLite3 and I can view the records in my table just fine using Lita. I'm trying to display the values in a page (index action) using code like this: <% @details.each do |lifeCycle| % <%= debug(lifeCycle)% <%= lifeCycle.lifeCycleId % <%= lifeCycle.eventType % <%= debug(lifeCycle.timeId) % <% end % From the debug I get a result like this: --- !ruby/object:LifeCycle attributes: eventType: Order created_at: "2111359287.23037" timeId: "2455364.89983796" eventId: "98765" updated_at: "2111359287.23037" lifeCycleId: "12345" id: "1" attributes_cache: {} But whenever I try to access the event timeId - i' getting a nil value. This is true if i try to run debug on just that field debug(lifeCycle.timeId), or call a function on it. Is there something obvious I'm missing here?
