  • How to create XSD schema from XML with this kind of structure (in .net)?

    Here's the problem: my input is XML file that looks something like: <BaseEntityClassInfo> <item> <key>BaseEntityClassInfo.SomeField</key> <value>valueData1</value> </item> <item> <key>BaseEntityClassInfo.AdditionalDataClass.SomeOtherField</key> <value>valueData2</value> </item> <item> <key>BaseEntityClassInfo.AdditionalDataClass.AnotherClassInfo.DisplayedText</key> <value>valueData3</value> </item> ... ... </BaseEntityClassInfo> The <key> element somehow describes entity classes fields and relationships (used in some other app that I don't have access to) and the <value> stores the actual data that I need. My goal is to programatically generate a typed Dataset from this XML that could then be used for creating reports. I thought of building some XSD schema from input XML file first and then use this schema to generate Dataset but I'm not sure how to do that. The problem is that I don't want all data in one table, I need several tables with relationships based on the <key> value so I guess I need to infer relational structure from XML <key> data in some way. So what do you think? How could this be done and what would be the best approach? Any advice, ideas, suggestions would be appreciated!

Is there a problem with the code or is WordPress meddling with the process?

  • How to make an id auto_increment from where it last left off after a record delete?

    This isn't that big of a deal but I was wondering if it can be done. Right now when I insert a new record, the id field which is auto_increment and set as primary key increases it's value by one: id | first_name | last_name ------------------------------ 1 | John | Smith 2 | Jane | Doe But if I delete record 2, the next one I insert is going to have an id of 3. Is there any way to make it have an id of 2 automatically (without having to manually insert it)?

My query is SELECT CME FROM Personnel WHERE CME = '11349D' If objOleDbCom.ExecuteScalar() 0 Then When i execute the above statement i got this error Conversion from string "11349D" to type 'Double' is not valid. I need to run a report that would return how many articles of each type there is per every day, like this: date | count(type="A") | count(type="B") | count(type="C") ----------------------------------------------------- 2010-01-01 | 2 | 1 | 0 2010-01-02 | 5 | 6 | 7 Currently I am running 3 queries for every type and then manually merging the results select date, count(id) from article where type="A" group by date Is it possible to do this in one query?     Hello. I encountered a weird problem when trying to write a cross-browser script. When I looked at the html DOM elements in the developer tool, the style tag was inserted but without content, like this: <html> <head> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <style type='text/css'></script> </head> I'm curious as to what causes this?   • SSH with Perl using file handles, not Net::SSH

    Before I ask the question: I can not use cpan module Net::SSH, I want to but can not, no amount of begging will change this fact I need to be able to open an SSH connection, keep it open, and read from it's stdout and write to its stdin. My approach thus far has been to open it in a pipe, but I have not been able to advance past this, it dies straight away. That's what I have in mind, I understand this causes a fork to occur. I've written code accordingly for this fork (or so I think). Basically, I need a file handle to an open ssh connection where I can read from it the output and write to it input (not necessarily straight from my program's STDIN, anything I want, variables, yada yada) This includes password input. I know about key pairs, part of the end goal involves making key pairs, but the connection needs to happen regardless of their existence, and if they do not exist it's part of my plan to make them exist.

    Hello everyone :) This is becoming a common pattern in my code, for when I need to manage an object that needs to be noncopyable because either A. it is "heavy" or B. it is an operating system resource, such as a critical section: class Resource; class Implementation : public boost::noncopyable { friend class Resource; HANDLE someData; Implementation(HANDLE input) : someData(input) {}; void SomeMethodThatActsOnHandle() { //Do stuff }; public: ~Implementation() { FreeHandle(someData) }; }; class Resource { boost::shared_ptr<Implementation> impl; public: Resource(int argA) explicit { HANDLE handle = SomeLegacyCApiThatMakesSomething(argA); if (handle == INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE) throw SomeTypeOfException(); impl.reset(new Implementation(handle)); }; void SomeMethodThatActsOnTheResource() { impl->SomeMethodThatActsOnTheHandle(); }; }; This way, shared_ptr takes care of the reference counting headaches, allowing Resource to be copyable, even though the underlying handle should only be closed once all references to it are destroyed. However, it seems like we could save the overhead of allocating shared_ptr's reference counts and such separately if we could move that data inside Implementation somehow, like boost's intrusive containers do. If this is making the premature optimization hackles nag some people, I actually agree that I don't need this for my current project. But I'm curious if it is possible.
