  I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to change grey highlight color in the screenshot below to something that will make the text a little more legible. Does anyone know what the "Display Item" name is that I need to change? To get to the "theme editor" select Tools = Options = Environment = Fonts and Colors. I can't find what to edit.   This is based on my full question. I decided to take it in parts and see if I still can't get any help. What are all the options we've got for client-side frameworks? I've heard mostly about prototype and jquery, but I know there are way too many options out there beyond those two, and I don't know if they handle async download. From all of them which one is the fastest, both on the DHTML (interface) and the AJAX (download)? What are the advantages it has over the others?

And follow all steps, I have done migration successfully with the first once. • Security Level for WebBrowser control

  I am trying to migrate an .hta application to a C# executable. Of course, since it's an .hta the code is all HTML and Jscript, with calls to local ActiveX objects. I created a C# executable project and am just using the WebBrowser control to display the HTML content. Simply renamed the .hta to an .html and took out the HTA declarations. Everything works great, except that when I make calls to the ActiveX objects, I get a security popup warning of running an ActiveX control on the page. I understand why this is happening since the WebBrowser control is essentially IE and uses the Internet Options security settings, but is there any way to get the WebBrowser control to bypass security popups, or a way to register the executable or DLLs as being trusted without having to change settings in Internet Options? Even a way to do on a deployment package would work as well.

• asp.net dynamic sitemap with querystring? Session variable seems like overkill.

  Hi, I'm using ASP.NET WebForms. I'm using the standard sitemap provider. Home User Account Entry Going to the home page should have a user selection screen. Clicking on a user should list out the user's accounts with options to edit, delete, add accounts. Selecting an account should list out all the user's account's entries with options to edit delete and add entries. How do you normally pass this information between pages? I could use the query string, but then, the sitemap doesn't work. The sitemap only has the exact page without the query string and therefore loses the information. /User/Account/List.aspx?User=123 /User/Account/Entry/List.aspx?User=123&Account=322 I could use a session variable, but this seems overkill. Thoughts and suggestions very appreciated. Thanks!

• TinyMCE editor dislikes being moved around

  Hello guys, On a page I have, I need to move TinyMCE editors in the DOM tree once in a while. However, for some reason, the editor doesn't like it: it clears itself completely and becomes unusable. As far as I can see, this behavior is consistent between Safari 4 and Firefox 3.6, but not Internet Explorer 7/8. Here's an example. It truly is pissing me off to do something that works in Internet Explorer but not with more appreciable browsers. Is there something I missed in the docs about never trying to move an editor in the DOM tree? Is there some kind of workaround?

• iPhone Orientation Relayout From Single Column to Double Column

  I am trying to create a UIView in Interface Builder that shows to the user two boxes containing some text. This UIView should support both landscape and portrait modes. When in portrait orientation, the two boxes should be centered horizontally and be under each other. Like in the picture below: But when in landscape orientation, it should show the two boxes centered vertically and by side by side. Like in the picture below: Is this possible using only the autosizing options (or any other IB options), or do I have to relayout the view in code on orientation change events? I would prefer using only IB. I tried locking the top and left margins of the top box and locking the bottom and right margins of the bottom box. But the problem is that for it to work I also need to shrink the two boxes as one changes from portrait to landscape, because otherwise they would overlap.

  I'm working on a script, and a small part of that involves taking a canvas and converting it to a downloadable image. To do this, I do: var thumb_jpeg = thumbnail.toDataURL("image/jpeg"); $("#" + options.dest).attr('src',thumb_jpeg); ...where thumbnail is a canvas tag and options.dest is the name of an img id. This code works perfectly in Chrome, but when I try it in Firefox, Firebug throws up this error: Security error" code: "1000 var thumb_jpeg = thumbnail.toDataURL("image/jpeg"); I would link to the whole script, but everything is hosted on my computer. • Setting borders around tbody, thead and tfoot with IE8

  Hi, I've designed a table in html that uses tbody, tfoot and thead. I would like to put a border-bottom and border-top on my tbody. Which works perfectly well with Firefox and Google Chrome. However Internet Explorer 8 does not display the borders at all. After searching on the internet I haven't found any solution that did not involve some javascript; which I am not keen on using for that task. Has anyone faced this problem before and came up with a solution that does not require javascript? Ideally I wouldn't want to start messing around with the html too much, a solution just with css would be awesome. Thanks for that.

• Serverside image processing

  I am designing a web application that does server side image processing in real time. Processing tasks include applying different effects like grayscale, blur, oil paint, pencil sketch etc on images in various formats. I want to build it using java/servlets which I am already familiar with. I found 3 options, 1) Use pure java imaging libraries like java.awt or http://www.jhlabs.com/ip/index.html 2) Use command line tools like Gimp/ImageMagick 3) Use c,c++ image libraries that have java bindings. I don't know which of the above options is good keeping the performance in mind. It looks like option 2) and 3) are good performance wise, but I want to be sure before I rule out 1). I have also heard gimp cannot be run using command line unless gtk or xwindows is already installed on the server. Will there be any such problems with 2) or 3) while running them server side? Also please suggest any good image processing libraries for this purpose.

  Hi, I have a button in a view which refuses to work. I've got in working in a blank, default view application from X-Code, but in none of my applications will it work, instead it gives me the following error.   my company's internet works on proxy server with Authentication(i.e. Browser prompts with window for username/password everytime i tried to access any web page). Now i have some windows application which tries to access internet(like WebPI/Visual Studio 2008 for rss feeds), but as they are unable to popup the the authentication window, they are unable to connect with internet with error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required . Here the exception is VS2008, first time it always fails to load rss feeds on startup page, but when i click on the link, it shows authentication window and everything works fine after that. my question is: How can i configure normal windows application(through app.config/app.manifest file) accessing web to able to show the authentication window or provide default credentials. This one is also made by someone else. I am able to alter this Makefile when I want to add some code. This Makefile also makes a binary. I don't know what they exactly do. What I want is to merge the two of them so I get only one binary. The code compiled in the second Makefile should be the result. I want to add flexibility.cpp and constraints.cpp to the second Makefile, but when I do. I get the problem following problem: flexibility.h:4:26: fatal error: ClpSimplex.hpp: No such file or directory #include "ClpSimplex.hpp" So the compiler can't find the Clp library. I also tried to copy-paste more code from the first Makefile into the second, but it still gives me that same error. Q: Can you please help me with merging the two makefiles or pointing out a more elegant way? Q: In this case is it indeed better to merge the two Makefiles? I also tried to use cmake, but I gave upon that one quickly, because I don't know much about flex and bison.
