• Name resolver doesn't work

  Oh, Hello! Tried to fix name resolution on my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS box using answers read here... no effect at all: Tried to move /etc/resolv.conf link away Tried to change hosts order in /etc/nsswitch.conf Tried to reboot|remove|reconfigure my LinkSys, which is a DHCP server for my network No results. For now, I'm using "reload button" method 'till desired site is open, though if I've misspelled its FQDN. Can anyone advise something else? Cheers, Andrey.

  Today Microsoft has released a new cumulative update for SQL Server 2008 SP3. KB article: KB #2771833 There are 9 fixes listed at the time of writing The build number is 10.00.5828.00 Relevant for @@VERSION between 10.00.5500 and 10.00.5827 It seems clear that Service Pack 2 servicing has been discontinued. So there is even less reason to hold onto those old builds, and every reason to upgrade to Service Pack 3 . • Quality of Code in unit tests?

  Is it worth to spend time when writing unit tests in order that the code written there has good quality and is very easy to read? When writing this kinds of tests I break very often the Law of Demeter, for faster writing and not using so many variables. Technically, unit tests are not reused directly - are strictly bound to the code so I do not see any reason for spending much time on them; they only need to be functionaly.
