• Capturing Mac OS X System Audio output with Python

  Hello, I've been trying to "hijack" the Mac OS X system audio using PyAudio and save to a wav in python. That is, I do not want to record from an input device such as a microphone. I want to grab the sound output from any or all applications. I have followed the tutorials on the PyAudio site but these do not appear to cover my use case and when I try to read from the output stream I unsurprisingly get the paCanNotReadFromAnOutputOnlyStream exception. Fair enough! Is there a way to do what I am proposing with the PyAudio or other FOSS Python Library?

• Snapping elements / conditional layouts

  Sorry for the extremely bad title, I have no other idea what to call this question. What I'm trying to do is this: have a RelativeLayout which has two children: one with layout_centerInParent="true" one with layout_alignParentBottom="true" However, when the device is in landscape mode, element (1) appears slightly over or under element (2). But, element (1) has enough space above it to appear above element (2). How could I make the layout so that if the screen is too small to center element (1) and make both elements not overlap, then align element (1) above (as in layout_above) element (2)?

  I'm beginner in to jquery and i wonder always how do developers do like this.   This is FIrst time i try to create Cocoa Touch Static Library and follow these steps. Create New Project with Cocoa Touch Static Library named it By default i got single class with Demo.h and Demo.m. 2.Create a public function in .h and implement it in .m. 3.Select iOS Device and press cmd + B. 4.Copy Demo.a from products and the .h file drop it in my iOS App where i want to use it. 5.Then Import Demo.h and try to call the function that i wrote.   I'm looking for an extremely light-weight lightbox for jquery. i'm trying to create my own but i suck and my fist is about to go through the screen.... i'm talking like 5kb or less.. i know it can be done, and if i knew what i was doing i'd do it... but i'm just done for the day. So, does anyone know of one? something just for images, and nothing else, no fancy crap, no extra weight, one that simply centers the lightbox in the center of the screen with whatever picture was loaded by the link. my screen will thank you...

My current situation: I have am image, lets called it "bg.png" with the width about 2500px, and at the center of the background image has my logo. My website should target all size (from small 800 x 600 to 2400 x XXX) users. I am at the point where once the connection opens the batch file doesn't proceed. • iPhone : Primitives getters and setters

  I feel a bit miffed at the moment, I done a few iPhone projects that use floats and ints etc and all is fine. I now using OpenGL and GLFloat[] C arrays etc and it seems unless I make methods to set / get them it crashes on the device (not the simulator). Now as these are not setup as properties (I don't think c arrays can) it kind of makes sense. However the project has been working for months without them. It seems something in the code is wiping out anything float / ints to the point that the debugger can see an assigned value but accessing it crashes the phone. As soon as I think I know something for this platform, something changes my mind lol.

  I'm creating an app which connects to server and sends some text. If network (both wifi or 3g) is there, it will immediately send the text to server. But if there is no network, it keeps on polling for server connection every 5 minutes. All this part is working fine. But when using iPhone 4 device, i want the app to check for server connection even when app goes into background. So, when app goes to background and when network comes back, it must be able to send the text to server. How can I achieve it? I've seen some apps where they say that the app will upload photos to server even in background. How will they do it?

• Java SWT - dissolve (fade) from one image to the next.

  I'm pretty new to Java and SWT, hoping to have one image dissolve into the next. I have one image now in a Label (relevant code): Device dev = shell.getDisplay(); try { Image photo = new Image(dev, "photo.jpg"); } catch(Exception e) { } Label label = new Label(shell, SWT.IMAGE_JPEG); label.setImage(photo); Now I'd like photo to fade into a different image at a speed that I specify. Is this possible as set up here, or do I need to delve more into the org.eclipse.swt.graphics api? Also, this will be a slide show that may contain hundreds of photos, only ever moving forward (never back to a previous image)---considering this, is there something I explicitly need to do in order to remove the old images from memory? • update dialog title for each click

  Hey guys I have a quick question, I have a dialog box that has multiple links with different attributes. Each time a link is clicked, the attribute src is printed inside of the dialog box so that each link has a unique output in the dialog. My problem is simply that only the first src title is in every box and I would like to change that as well with each click. I separated the line containing title to show the problem. • Automatically detect a new computer connected to the network

  Hi All, Is there an elegant way to make a program detect a new computer that is connected to the network? I would like my program to "auto-sense" a new computer being connected on the network (they're on the same network). Like a USB device being connected to the computer. What I'm doing now is to save a list of all computers in the network from time to time. Another approach is to PING all available IPs on the subnet. Are there any other elegant approaches? Thanks!

• WMF image data validation?

  There is an image capturing device which gives its output in wmf. This output is stored in the database directly. We have cases where at times some of these images do not appear on a web page in IE. But if we right click on the page we are able to save the image on to the hard disk; meaning the image does exist on the page, but does not appear visible. I think this is because of some file corruption issue, but I don't know how to resolve it. We are however able to view such files using MS Picture Viewer (desktop app). Is there anyway we can detect such problematic files?

  Hi all, After I quit simulator and click build the app from XCode, the iPhone Simulator loading and my app will be install and run. But the app just show only Default image (finish the applicationDidFinishLaunching method - I logs it) and do nothing. I can't do anything in Simulator, event click the "Home" button of Simulator. But the other time, when Simulator already running, I select the "Build" button in XCode and everything is fine. Can you tell me why and how does this issue effect my app when I build it with real device? Thanks a lot!

• Why is iPhone 5 briefly Letterboxing and displaying Default.png in Cocos2d?

  I have [email protected] which loads fine. However, (on the actual device) after it shows the iPhone 5 then displays Default.png, in letter box mode. It then loads the 1136 × 640 px Title Screen - which is fine and what it's supposed to do. I'm using the default Cocos2d HelloWorld template. I haven't changed anything in the plist or otherwise. Any ideas? Why does it load the Default.png and how do you fix this? Thanks. In the IntroLayer we have -(void) onEnter if( UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() == UIUserInterfaceIdiomPhone ) { background = [CCSprite spriteWithFile:@"Default.png"]; background.rotation = 90; } Which is why Default.png is showing up. • UISplitViewController Common View

  is it possible to have a common view for both master and detail view controllers. What if I need to add a header image(at top, the very first view) common for both the master and detail view controllers. When the device is in the portrait mode the width of the header image view has to shrink to fit to the detail view controller's view and when the orientation changes to landscape the width of the same header image view has to be expanded that is the width of it has to be 1024. Please tell me whether doing this is possible. or any workaround for this?
