• Setting multiple datasource for a report in Asp.net

  Hi all, I have a report whose data is derived from two stored procedures.so i need to set these two datasources for generating the report.But the reports which have only one SP, ie.only one datasource works properly. • iPhone: UIImageView not showing images

  Hello, I've got UIImageView drawn in my nib-file and it's connected to a imageView iboutlet. I can load single pictures which will show up very nicely, but when it comes to drawing many images separately as like an animation, images won't show. I've got drawImage() function which takes NSData-objects(image data) and draws it to a screen(imageView). Main function has got for loop which loops 300 times as quickly as it can and each time it calls that drawImage function and passes different image data to it. Sometimes when I execute this code, last picture from that "animation" shows up, sometimes not at all. Maybe I need to schedule enough time for imageView so that the image can be shown? Hope someone has some clues. Thanks in advance!

• PHP or Javascript or other - Draw simple shapes onto images?

  I basically have an image of a world map and i would like to place a pin image at a specified pixel co-ordinate ontop of this world map image. It's for a website, so ideally the solution should be in PHP or Javascript (i'm avoiding Java and Flash as i want it to be as simple as possible). I had a look at the processing.js library but it is way to big and bloated for just performing this simple task. Is there a pre-existing Javascript function which will allow me to do this? Or a more simple javascript library that i can use? (processing.js was a bit too advanced for me, i couldnt get it working lol) In terms of a PHP solution, i would prefer taking the load off the server and onto the client for this task, but i would still like to hear methods for doing it in PHP if they are suitable.   I'm building an app with a build target of 1.5 . I have a variable, WebView browser, that is calling loadUrl to load a static HTML page from my assets folder. In that HTML page, the following JavaScript is defined: var supportsTouch = ('createTouch' in document); ... var w = $('wrapper'); w[supportsTouch ? 'touchmove' : 'onmousemove'] = move; w[supportsTouch ? 'touchend' : 'onmouseup'] = function(event){ dragging = false; }; where move is another function that handles the dragging. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work. I cannot figure out a concise list of which touch events are available to Android--is it ontouchmove, or touchmove? Am I supposed to set up an onTouchEvent call back in my Java code, which then launches the JavaScript function?

Actually I'm not so interested if it's valid but if there would be any problems with any web browser or email client ( the editor is used for composing a html email ). Firefox and Thunderbird seem to be fine with it.

  I have an user control. I add dynamicly control to this control on its Page Init. This user control's parent Page's every postback, its page init works fine. After I added an different user control to Page. In Second User control, user select photos and uploads them with asyncfileupload control(AJAX). And I save all of them with a button at the end of Page. In EveryPostBack Parent Page Load event works. If I dont select any photo from Second User Control, First User Control's Page Init event works fine when I click Save Button. But if I select a photo, first User Control dont work. What is the problem?

• Lightweight web browser for testing

  I have e very specific test setup in mind. I would like to start a web-browser that understands Javascript and can use HTTP proxy, point it to a URL (ideally by specifying it in the command line along with the proxy config), wait for the page to load while listening (in the proxy) requests are generated as web-page is rendered and Javascript is executed, then kill the whole thing and restart. I don't care about how the page renders graphically at all. Which browser or tool should I use for this? Ideally it should be something self-contained that doesn't require installation (just an EXE file that runs from command line). Lynx would have been ideal but for the fact that it doesn't support JS. It should have as small memory footprint as possible.

• SQL Server Multiple Joins Are Taxing The CPU

  I have a stored procedure on SQL Server 2005. It is pulling from a Table function, and has two joins. When the query is run using a load test it kills the CPU 100% across all 16 cores! I have determined that removing one of the joins makes the query run fine, but both taxes the CPU. Select SKey From dbo.tfnGetLatest(@ID) a left join [STAGING].dbo.RefSrvc b on a.LID = b.ESIID left join [STAGING].dbo.RefSrvc c on a.EID = c.ESIID Any help is appreciated, note the join is happening on the same table in a different database on the same server.

• nginx-tornado-django request timeout

  We are using nginx-tornado-django to provide web services. That is, no web page frontend. The nginx server serves as a load-balancer. The server has 8 cores, so we launched 8 tornado-django processes on every server. Memcached is also deployed to gain better performance. The requests per day is about 1 million per server. We use MySQL as backend DB. The code is tested and correct. Our profiling shows that normally every request are processed within 100ms. The problem is, we find that about 10 percent of the requests suffers from time-out issue. Many requests didn't even reach tornado. I really don't have much experience on tuning of nginx/tornado/MySQL. Right now I don't have a clue on what is going wrong. Any advise is appreiciated.

• Fastest method for SQL Server inserts, updates, selects from C# ASP.Net 2.0+

  Hi All, long time listener, first time caller. I use SPs and this isn't an SP vs code-behind "Build your SQL command" question. I'm looking for a high-throughput method for a backend app that handles many small transactions. I use SQLDataReader for most of the returns since forward only works in most cases for me. I've seen it done many ways, and used most of them myself. Methods that define and accept the stored procedure parameters as parameters themselves and build using cmd.Parameters.Add (with or without specifying the DB value type and/or length) Assembling your SP params and their values into an array or hashtable, then passing to a more abstract method that parses the collection and then runs cmd.Parameters.Add Classes that represent tables, initializing the class upon need, setting the public properties that represent the table fields, and calling methods like Save, Load, etc I'm sure there are others I've seen but can't think of at the moment as well. I'm open to all suggestions.

• Preview result of update/insert query whithout comitting changes to database in MySQL?

  I am writing a script to import CSV files into existing tables within my database. I decided to do the insert/update operations myself using PHP and INSERT/UPDATE statements, and not use MySQL's LOAD INFILE command, I have good reasons for this. What I would like to do is emulate the insert/update operations and display the results to the user, and then give them the option of confirming that this is OK, and then committing the changes to the database. I'm using InnoDB database engine with support for transactions. Not sure if this helps but was thinking down the line of insert/update, query data, display to user, then either commit or rollback transaction? Any advise would be appreciated.

• Delphi Clientdataset Lookup/Aggregate

  Hi, I need a little help with ClientDatasets in Delphi. What I want to achieve is a grid showing customers, where one of the columns shows the number of orders for each customer. I put a ClientDataset on a form and load Customers.xml from Delphi demo-data. Another ClienDataset is loaded with orders.xml. Relatively simple, I can define an aggregate on the orders CDS showing the total amount per customer (or the count). (See Cary Jensens article on this: http://edn.embarcadero.com/article/29272) The problem is getting this aggregate result from orders dataset into the customer dataset. It is kind of an reverse lookup, since there is a 1-n relationship between customers and orders, not an n-1 as normally in lookup scenarios. Any ideas ? Søren

• Why is Visual Studio 2008 slow with Firefox?

  I am using Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 Express. I've made an ASP.NET MVC site which has 6 CSS files and 6 Javascript files in the HEAD element in the Site.Master file. When I do F5 or CTRL-F5 in Explorer or Opera, the site displays instantly. When I run my site in Firefox, it takes a SECOND for each CSS and each Javascript file on LOCALHOST, i.e. 12 seconds to load on localhost. What might I be able to change in the Firefox settings so it is as fast as Opera and Explorer? NEW INFO: Uninstalled Firebug completely, no yslow, no other add-ons. When I take out the CSS and Javascript files, then Firefox is as fast as the other browsers. What could be taking it so long on a local connection?

  Hi All, We are currently working on a small IM project which pretty much works like gtalk and yahoo messenger. We came across a problem that puzzled us how gtalk/ym populate their contact lists. Given that the user has let's say more or less 500 contacts, both IMs seem to readily load the contacts pretty fast and already sorted. Here are my questions(referring to either): Does it cache its contacts, like saving it in a file somewhere upon exit so that upon log-in it readily extracts the contacts and displays it in its contact list? Does it always request for the VCARDS upon log in?   I'm using this code to play a different mp3 files with every call. The first time through works great. • C# getting version of unmanaged dll

  I'm calling an unmanaged dll from my managed c# code and wanted to check I'm calling the right version. The code I'm trying to load the assembly (to then get the resource file and then get the version) is: cur_version = Assembly.LoadFile("X:\Workspace\yreceipts_pos\yRprintProcessor\Debug\yRprintProcessor.dll"); It's failing because of this error: The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131018) Does anyone know how to get around this or have a better way to check the version of an unmanaged dll from managed c# code? Thanks in advance, Richard

  When allocating a new BSTR with SysAllocString via a wchar_t* on the heap, should I then free the original wchar_t* on the heap? So is this the right way? wchar_t *hs = new wchar_t[20]; // load some wchar's into hs... BSTR bs = SysAllocString(hs); delete[] hs; Am I supposed to call delete here to free up the memory? Or was that memory just adoped by the BSTR?
