    I was able to extract href value of anchors in an html string. Now, what I want to achieve is extract the href value and replace this value with a new GUID. I need to return both the replaced html string and list of extracted href value and it's corresponding GUID. Thanks in advance.   • How can I display a list of three different Models sortable by the same :attribute in rails?

    I have a Campaign model which has_many Calls, Emails, and Letters. For now, these are each a separate Model with different controllers and actions (although I would like to start to think of ways to collapse them once the models and actions stabilize). They do share two attributes at least: :days and :title I would like a way to represent all the Calls, Emails, and Letters that belong_to a specific Campaign as a sortable collection (sortable by :days), in a way that outputs the model name and the path_to() for each. For example (I know the below is not correct, but it represents the kind of output/format I've been trying to do: @campaign_events.each do |campaign_event| <%= campaign_event.model_name %> <%= link_to campaign_event.title, #{model_name}_path(campaign_event) %> end Thanks so much. BTW, if this matters, I would then want to make the :days attribute editable_in_place.

    I have 1 table with tasks named opentask:columns: id,title,description,expires,creator_id,creator_name, executer_id, executer_name, priority_id, status_id1 table with users named user: with columns: user_id, username What I want is to create a query where there will be all columns from opentask table where the executer_id will be equal to the user_id of user table AND the creator_id will be equal to the user_id again. This creates a confusion because the first equality excludes the second.So I need somehow to create a query where I will include the usernames for the executer with something like where "opentask.executer_id=user_user_id" and at the same time I will include the username again (as a differend name?) for the creator with something like "where opentask.executer_id=user_user_id"So I try this, which of course I know that is missing something, can you help?   • can we do getwriter and forward in a single servlet

    Lets say my form called a servlet. I would do some processing in it. In the servlet i want to print something on the page. for that i used PrintWriter out=response.getWriter(); out.println("some text here"); then further in the servlet i did some more form processing which works fine and after that i want the servlet to be forwarded to a jsp page. For this i used RequestDispatcher rd = request.getRequestDispatcher("/somepage.jsp"); rd.forward(request, response); the problem comes here. the text some text here gets printed, but the servlet doesn't forward request to the jsp page, as if the code doesn't run.

    I'm currently writing a Greasemonkey script for a page, so I can't modify the script myself. There is a form submit button on the page. When you click this button, it executes some fancy AJAX calls and such to update the page and do serverside things. What I'm trying to is basically set a "lastClick" value when the button is clicked. I want to add the code GM_setValue("lastClicked", (new Date()).getTime().toString()) to store the last time the button was clicked (for future uses of the script, it will actually do something with this date). How exactly can I accomplish this?

    When you use the cachedwithin attribute in a cfquery how does it store the query in memory. Does it store it by only the name you assign to the query? For example, if on my index page I cache a query for an hour and name it getPeople will a query with the same name on a different page (or the same page for that matter) use the cached results or does it use some better logic to decide if it is the same query? Also, if there is a variable in your query does the cache take into account the value of the variable?

I want the 'title image' (the one used as the thumb for it on Flickr its self), the title and URL. Can't be that hard, can it? The language of choice is PHP (5.1.6), or JS (jQuery if possible).     This one has me stumped, despite the numerous posts on here. The scenario is a basic MVC(2) web application with simple CRUD operations. Whenever the edit form is submitted and the UpdateModel() called, an exception is thrown: System.Data.Linq.ForeignKeyReferenceAlreadyHasValueException was unhandled by user code This occurs against a DropDownList value which is a foreign key on the entity table. However, there is another DropDownList list on the form, representing another foreign key, which does not throw the error (unsurprisingly). Changing the property values manually inside the Edit Action: Recipe recipe = repository.GetRecipe(int.Parse(formValues["recipeid"])); recipe.CategoryId = Convert.ToInt32(formValues["CategoryId"].ToString()); recipe.Page = int.Parse(formValues["Page"].ToString()); recipe.PublicationId=Convert.ToInt32(formValues["PublicationId"].ToString()); Allows the CategoryId and Page properties to be updated, and then the error is thrown on the PublicationId. All of the referential integrity is checked an the same in the db and the dbml. Any light shed on this would be most welcome.

    I have a classifieds website. In every classified, there is a back link which simply takes the browser back one step. This is because when users search classifieds, and click on one to view it, they can easily go back with a link also (instead of only the browser back button). Here is the problem, if the classified is entered directly into the adress bar of a browser, or if somebody bookmarked a classified, then this back-link would take them someplace else... Is there any way of making sure that the previous page is a certain page (index.php in my case)? This way I would only display the back link if the previous page was index.php... Thanks

    I want to search for threads in my mysql database with Solr. But i want it to not just search the thread words, but for similar words. Eg. if a thread title is "dog for sale" and if the user searches for dogs the title will be in the result. and also if a user searches for "mac os x" the word "snow leopard" will appear. and the ability to link words the application thinks is related eg. house and apartment. how is this kind of logic done? i know that you can with solr look up words in a dictionary file you create/add, so solr will look for dogs and see what related words there are (eg. dog). but where do you find such a dictionary? i have no idea about this kind of implementation. please point me into right direction. thanks

  • .htaccess cross browser

    Hi, Im trying to load a custom error document for a 404 error using a .htaccess file on a linux server, the page gets the current page URL then redirects to another site (which is retrieved from a db) based on an id it retrieved from the URL. The current error documents are stored here: /error_docs/ - i dont have permission to upload anything other than the HTML files that are already in there /HTTPDocs/301redir.php is the site root where the .htaccess file is. i have used the following to load the 301redir.php page as the error doc, which works in FF but no other browsers. ErrorDocument 404 /310redir.php using .htaccess is my only real option for changing this, is there a way to get around this issue and make it work across all browsers?
