  • Should I name the files in my solution all lowercase for SEO?

    I read that an SEO best practice is to use lowercase urls. Should I name my asp.net webforms project files lowercase as well? Visual Studio doesn't name default documents in new projects all lowercase. I'm not sure it matters since browsing to http://www.mysite.com/mypage.aspx will still work even if your page is named MyPage.aspx. Can somebody enlighten me on this?

    How can I do this cleanly without gotos? loop: if(condition1){ something(); } else if (condition2) { somethingDifferent(); } else { mostOfTheWork(); goto loop; } I'd prefer not to use breaks as well. Furthermore, it is expected to loop several (adv 40) times before doing something else, so the mostOfTheWork part would most likely be as high up as possible, even if just for readability. When the code above was the old mysql() code, it worked fine as teacher was able to login when username and password match, but when trying to change the code into mysqli then it causes login to not work even though username and password match. What am I doing wrong?

    Hello. Does anyone know how I can get the location of a program that has been installed. My C# WinForm is meant to launch the installer for a program, mainly games, and then be able to detect where that program was installed. Or even if it was installed successfully. Would I have to look in the registery for the location of installed programs? Or is there another way? Thanks for the help!

    I am aware that the follow will show a hand cursor: component.mouseChildren = true; component.useHandCursor = true; component.buttonMode = true; When I do the above on a List component, the hand button is shown and the whole component loses it's interactivity (Hand cursor is shown even on scrollbars). So how can I show the hand cursor only when rolling over the list items?

  • Is there a good GUI SVN app for Mac (better than XCode)

    Hey everybody, I'm looking for a more robust and fully featured GUI SVN manager for Mac than what is built into XCode (which works, but only as long as you don't need anything beyond the bare basics and doesn't work for versioning scripts and such created in other editors). I can use the terminal commands, but I'd really like the option of using a GUI. On windows I use TortoiseSVN and Visual SVN, which do pretty much everything I need, but as far as I'm aware there's nothing even remotely resembling those on the Mac side.

  • I call session_start() the script hangs and nothing happens

    I am running php5, however as soon as I call session_start() the script hangs and nothing happens. Is anyone else experiencing this problem, or am I doing something incorrectly? I am using session_start() on index.php and for some reason sometimes it'll fail. No warnings, no errors, no notices, not even after prepending error_reporting(E_ALL) and ini_set('display_errors', TRUE) before session_start() do I see anything, it just plain dies.
