    Hi there, I have an excel spreadsheet that contains the primarky-key/id value for a record in a table in an access database. I would like to export specific data from certain cells in the spreadsheet to certain fields in the corresponding record in the table. Is this possible, any help would be greatly appreciated.     I am aware of: SELECT @@ERROR but it will give me only an ERROR CODE (a number) and I need a full text message like: Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.TABLE_NAME' with unique index 'IX_ID_unique'. The statement has been terminated. How can I do that in MS Sql Server 2005 ?

This in mind, I think the major problem in taking on Perl is going to be with the syntax. Aside from this (a minor hindrance, really, as I'm rather sold on the fact that Perl's is far more readable), what are some key differences you think I should make myself aware of prior to taking on the language?

    I have used 4 NSButtons and assigned them to the 4 arrow keys separately to move in four different directions. Now I want to use two keystrokes, left arrow and up arrow together simultaneously, for north east movement, how can I do it? I am only able to use one keystroke at a time , I need to catch two key strokes simultaneously, I need it for my game project.

  • What's the best way to use NHibernate for objects without ID?

    I have some classes in my app that don't require an ID to be persisted. These could be things like user logs or audit records. I can add an arbitaty id to them but I would like to avoid that as they don't mean anything. The retrieval of these objects is always on another key (like UserId) which is not unique to the record.

    Hi.. My mysql database is located on a remote machine... So i dont have any local copy of mysql on my local machine.. i get the registry key error... (file not found)... serverKey = _winreg.OpenKey(_winreg.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, options['registry_key']) WindowsError: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified I think it requires to have a local copy of mysql... How do i install the mysqldb for database residing on another machine???

    I doubt if this is encryption but I can't find a better phrase. I need to pass a long query string like this: http://test.com/test.php?key=[some_very_loooooooooooooooooooooooong_query_string] The query string contains NO sensitive information so I'm not really concerned about security in this case. It's just...well, too long and ugly. Is there a library function that can let me encode/encrypt/compress the query string into something similar to the result of a md5() (similar as in, always a 32 character string), but decode/decrypt/decompress-able?

    I've been assigned a research project to enhance social networking based adaptive e-learning and to do so I need to be able to extract several (hundreds, maybe thousands) of status updates or tweets in order to perform factor analysis on key words. Apparently this can be done with javascript but I have never used javascript before so I'm a bit lost. I know I need a Twitter API but not sure even how to use one. Anybody have any idea how I can do this?

I have the key of the certificate of course, but how could I decrypt the response ?     I am using JUnit 4 to test Dao Access with Spring (annotations) and JPA (hibernate). The datasource is configured through JNDI(Weblogic) with an ORacle(Backend). This persistence is configured with just the name and a RESOURCE_LOCAL transaction-type The application context file contains notations for annotations, JPA config, transactions, and default package and configuration for annotation detection.     I'm trying to get to grips with regular expressions: I have a database connection string and I'd like to use a regular expression to identify specific Keys and Values within it. For example server=foo;database=bar;uid=foo;pwd=bar I'd like something to return "database=bar;" using the 'database' key to identify it, ideally it would be case insensitive. I can do this using normal code, but I think that this is exactly the sort of thing for which regular expressions were designed.
