• Flex TextArea leading invalid

  Hi, When I set leading to 0 with Verdana (and others to) for a Flex TextArea I get strange results: fontsize - space between baselines 8 - 10 (125%) 10 - 12 (120%) 12 - 14 (117%) 14 - 17 (121%) 16 - 18 (113%) 18 - 22 (122%) 20 - 25 (125%) 25 - 31 (124%) shouldn't all of these be the same (should only be 100%)? Or least follow a pattern, because I can't se any. :( When i set leading to 0, the space between my baselines should be the same as the font size/height. This is not the case here. How do I know how to get the space between the baseline to be equal to the height of the font?

  Hello! I am learning about recursion tree's and trying to figure out how the height of the tree is log b of n where n = 2 and one has 10 elements as input size. I am working with Merge sort. The number of times the split is done is the height of the tree as far as I understood, and the number of levels in the tree is height + 1. But if you take (for merge sort) log2 of 10 you get 1, where if you draw the tree you get at least 2 times that the recursion occurs. Where have I gone wrong? (I hope I am making sense here) NOTE: I am doing a self study, this is not homework!

  I needed to filter a list of results using the combination of two properties. A plain SQL statement would look like this: SELECT TOP 10 * FROM Person WHERE FirstName + ' ' + LastName LIKE '%' + @Term + '%' The ICriteria in NHibernate that I ended up using was: ICriteria criteria = Session.CreateCriteria(typeof(Person)); criteria.Add(Expression.Sql( "FirstName + ' ' + LastName LIKE ?", "%" + term + "%", NHibernateUtil.String)); criteria.SetMaxResults(10); It works perfectly, but I'm not sure if it is the ideal solution since I'm still learning about NHibernate's Criteria API. What are the recommended alternatives? Is there something besides Expression.Sql that would perform the same operation? I tried Expression.Like but couldn't figure out how to combine the first and last names. Should I map a FullName property to the formula "FirstName + ' ' + LastName" in the mapping class? Should I create a read only FullName property on the domain object then map it to a column?

  Hello, I am trying to set up a PHP path to my Zend Framework. I am very confused on how to do this. My Zend Framework is located at the following location on my server: amazon/ZendFramework-1.10.3-minimal I am going to be creating a couple of php files in the amazon/ directory that will require the Zend Framework. My include path is: include("ZendFramework-1.10.3-minimal/library/Zend/Service/Amazon.php"); This works, however inside of Amazon.php is the line require_once 'Zend/Rest/Client.php'; ...and then Client.php has more dependencies set up like that, and so on. How can I set up my include path so that Amazon.php and Client.php (and so on) can correctly reference the location of the Zend Framework? Thanks

  So I have two models, Person and Film where they're in a many to many relationship. My goal is to grab a film, and output the persons that have also appeared in at least 10 films. For example I can get the count individually by: >>> Person.objects.get(short__istartswith = "Matt Damon").film_set.count() 71 However, if I try to filter all the actors of a particular film out: >>> Film.objects.get(name__istartswith="Saving Private Ryan").actors.all().annotate(film_count=Count('film')).filter(film_count__gte=10) [] it returns an empty set since if I manually look at everyone's film_count it's 1, even though an actor such as Matt Damon (as seen above) has been in 71 films in my db. • Anything wrong with this php code?

  1st I have to say I know nothing bout php. I was actually doing my AS3 guest-book and through parts of tutorials from Activetut, I managed to come out a flash guest-book. So the problem now I'm facing is the guest-book could only inject 1 XML data and it will always clear off the old 1, while the flash is still caching on the old XML files. I'd found some other tutorials(which I think its quite hard since i dunno anything about php) and comparing to the php code I'm using, it seems to be extremely short. • Best approach for building a multiplattform graphical interface for a command-line application

  Hi, I developed a command line application, whose binary runs in Linux, Windows and Mac OSX. It reads some text input files, but I realize that some special users can not handle this. I would then like to build some kind of graphical interface, where the user only finds buttons and scroll bars for selecting the input parameters, a big "run" button, and then it reads the output of the program and makes some figures. I also need that everything gets finally packed in a single file, which uses only static libraries, so the user just needs to copy the file to his/her machine and run it. I would like to know what is the best open source and multi-platform approach to do this. 10 years ago I played a bit with something similar on DEC machines, so I guess that nowadays the situation has probably improved a bit. P.S. For designing the graphical interface, I am looking for a graphical approach, where you add buttons, scroll bars with the mouse P.S. 2: the interface is really simple, just need less than 10 buttons, 5 text fields and 2 scrolla bars Thanks

However on the results page, I have a button that will take you to the next 10 results: where $term is the $_POST['term'] value. echo "<input type='hidden' name='term' value='" . $term . "'>"; This causes the following problem with the term is for example "aidan's". When the next 10 button is clicked, the term becomes aidan\ and no further results are found. I am not doing anything to $term. I usually use Java, but am required to use PHP for this uni assignment! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
