    We are pleased to announce that MySQL Enterprise Monitor 3.0.3 is now available for download on the My Oracle Support (MOS) web site. It will also be available via the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud with the November update in about 1 week. This is a maintenance release that fixes a number of bugs. You can find more information on the contents of this release in the change log. You will find binaries for the new release on My Oracle Support. Choose the "Patches & Updates" tab, and then use the "Product or Family (Advanced Search)" feature. You will also find the binaries on the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud in approximately 1 week. Choose "MySQL Database" as the Product Pack and you will find the Enterprise Monitor along with other MySQL products.     Hi, I have four models: Customer, QueueRed, QueueBlue, QueueGreen. The Queue models have a one to many relationship with customers A customer must always be in a queue A customer can only be in one queue at a time A customer can change queues We must be able to find out the customers current position in their respective queue In an object model the queues would just have an array property containing customers, but ActiveRecord doesn't have arrays. In a DB I would probably create some extra tables just to handle the order of the stories in the queue. My question is what it the best way to model the relationship in ActiveRecord? Obviously there are many ways this could be done, but what is the best or the most in line with how ActiveRecord should be used? Cheers, Chris

    Please do not give me a full working example, I want to know how this is done rather than to get some code I can copy paste This is the query I need, and can't for the life of me create it in LINQ. SELECT * FROM dbo.Schedules s, dbo.Videos v WHERE s.VideoID = v.ID AND s.ID IN ( SELECT MAX(ID) FROM dbo.Schedules WHERE ChannelID = 1 GROUP BY VideoID ) ORDER BY v.Rating DESC, s.StartTime DESC I have the "IN" query in LINQ I think, it's something like this var uniqueList = from schedule in db.Schedules where schedule.ChannelID == channelID group schedule by schedule.VideoID into s select new { id = s.Max(i => i.ID) }; It is possibly wrong, but now I can not check in another query for this in a where clause uniqueList.Contains(schedule.ID) There is possibly a better way to write this query, if you have any idea I would love some hints. I get this error and it's not making much sense. The type arguments for method 'System.Linq.Queryable.Contains(System.Linq.IQueryable, TSource)' cannot be inferred from the usage. Try specifying the type arguments explicitly.

I understand that php is easy, I also understand that oracle host is hard to find ($$$ of course), but what do they have against some good open-source, completely free java spring, jsp, django, python, ror, perl etc etc ....   • How best to implement support for multiple devices in a web application.

    Hello. My client would like a business application to support 'every possible device'. The application in question is essentially a web application and 'every possible device', I believe encompasses mobile phones, netbooks, ipad, other browser supporting devices, etc. The application is somewhat complex w.r.t. the data it captures and other functions it performs (reporting). If I continue to honor increasing complexity in the application, I guess there are more chances of it not working on other devices. I'd like to know how web applications support multiple devices conventionally? Are there multiple versions of presentation layer (like many times I find m.website.com dedicated for mobile devices)? Further, if my application is to take advantage of Java Script, RIA (Flash, SilverLight) then what are the consequences and workarounds? Mine is a .Net based application and the stack also contains Ext JS Java Script library. While I would like to use it for sure, considering that I would be doing a lot of work in Java Script rather than HTML, this could be a problem. The answer to the above could be descriptive. If there is something already prescribed out there, please share the link(s). Thanks.
