• Hibernate configuration files not found by Axis2

  I am writing a web service to be deployed on Tomcat using Axis2. I am using Hibernate3 to persist data between the web service and a MySQL database. When running the application through by IDE, the method I am exposing through Axis2 works as intended, however when I deploy the .aar to Tomcat, I receive a SOAP Error claiming that hibernate.cfg.xml cannot be found. However, inside the .aar, I clearly see that all the configuration file and all the mapping files are included. I have determined a workaround: If I place the resulting files from the Netbeans build/class folder into the axis2/WEB-INF/class folder, then the application works as expected. My question, then, is is there a better way to deploy my application so that Axis2 will pick up the configuration and mapping files through the deployed .aar without my manually having to copy the contents of the build/class folder into the axis2/WEB-INF/class folder?

After getting cavv, xid and eci values we have appended these values to First data payment gateway. We have set the host as "secure.linkpt.net" and port as 1129 and also set the config and pem files. Now we got an error when sending the xml values to payment gateway as given below Unable to load certificate ERRs: wsa=33558530 err=33558530 ssl=537317504 sys=33558530.   Very close to what I'm trying to do but not quite the answer I think I'm looking for: How to map IDictionary<string, Entity> in Fluent NHibernate I'm trying to implement an IDictionary<String, IList<MyEntity>>and map this collection to the database using NHibernate. I do understand that you cannot map collections of collections directly in NHibernate, but I do need the functionality of accessing an ordered list of elements by key. I've implemented IUserCollectionType for my IList<MyEntity> so that I can use IDictionary<String, MyCustomCollectionType> but am struggling with how to get the map to work as I'd like. • Dealing with unwanted port numbers on localhost when debugging in Visual Studio

  So when I'm trying to debug a project in Visual Studio, I'll often have 1 or more services that I need to call. These services are separate projects and I'll launch them in separate instances of VS. ASP dev server kindly launches them with temporary port numbers attached. This would be fine except for my programs are looking for an IP without a port attached. (Typically it's as simple as "localhost"!) I've coped by using web config settings and changing the xml to use the port number while debugging. This still doesn't always work and occasionally I'll still have to fudge it and insert port numbers as strings in code! UGH! Then I have to remember to undo all the port herding code before deployment... I want to stop doing this: string _strBaseURL = String.Format("http://{0}:2277", ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["myservice_ip"].ToString()); What is the best practice here? Am I doomed to port herding while debugging VS apps?

• Confusion related to sigwait in multiprocess system

  I am having difficulty in understanding IPC in multiprocess system. I have this system where there are three child processes that send two types of signals to their process group. There are four types of signal handling processes responsible for a particular type of signal. There is this monitoring process which waits for both the signals and then processes accordingly. When I run this program for a while, the monitoring process doesn't seem to pick up the signal as well as the signal handling process. I could see in the log that the signal is only being generated but not handled at all. But later on the signal was generated a lot, but it was not quite processes in the same magnitude as before. Further I could see very less signal processing by the monitoring process Can anyone please provide some insights. What's going on?

  In my web application I need to use Saxon TransformerFactory to use XSLT 2.0 but I can't use setProperty method because I haven't this right on the web server and there is a Security Manager. So i have read that it's possible to do this: Use the Services API (as detailed in the JAR specification), if available, to determine the classname. The Services API will look for a classname in the file META-INF/services/javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory in jars available to the runtime. I found this file in WEB-INF/lib/saxon9.jar but when I istantiate a TransformerFactory is always selected default factory and not saxon factory. How can I select Saxon Transformer Factory? Thanks

  I have a central dispatcher servlet that has a servlet mapping of : <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>dispatcher</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> When i try to use the blob store service's createUploadUrl("/uploadComplete") it maps to a URL for e.g *'/_ah/upload/agp0d2VldG15cGljchsLEhVfX0Jsb2JVcGxvYWRTZXNzaW9uX18YEgw'*. Before the Blob store service can handle the upload and redirect to /uploadComplete; my dispatcher servlet gets called and i am therefore not being able to upload anything. Is there a servlet/ filter that i can map to /_ah/upload/* in my web.xml ? How do i avoid the dispatcher servlet from getting called before the Blob store service can do its thing?

  I am trying to create an automatic feed generation for data to be sent to Google Base using utf-8 encoding. However I am getting errors whenever hyphens are found telling me that there is an encoding error in the relevant attribute (title, description, product_type). I am currently using: &amp;minus; but I have also tried: &amp;#8722; neither of which have worked. I am using the following declaration at the top of the document: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> Any help appreciated and let me know if I need to give more information!

• having issue while making the client calls persession in c# wcf

  1.) I have a main method Processing, which takes string as an arguments and that string contains some x number of tasks. 2.) I have another method Status, which keeps track of first method by using two variables TotalTests and CurrentTest. which will be modified every time with in a loop in first method(Processing). 3.) When more than one client makes a call parallely to my web service to call the Processing method by passing a string, which has different tasks will take more time to process. so in the mean while clients will be using a second thread to call the Status method in the webservice to get the status of the first method. 4.) when point number 3 is being done all the clients are supposed to get the variables(TotalTests,CurrentTest) parallely with out being mixed up with other client requests. 5.) The code that i have provided below is getting mixed up variables results for all the clients when i make them as static. If i remove static for the variables then clients are just getting all 0's for these 2 variables and i am unable to fix it. Please take a look at the below code.   I have an XML document which contains nodes like following:- <a class="custom">test</a> <a class="xyz"></a> I was tryng to get the nodes for which class is NOT "Custom" and I wrote an expression like following:- XmlNodeList nodeList = document.SelectNodes("//*[self::A[@class!='custom'] or self::a[@class!='custom']]"); Now, I want to get IMG tags as well and I want to add the following experession as well to the above expression:- //*[self::IMG or self::img] ...so that I get all the IMG nodes as well and any tag other than having "custom" as value in the class attribute. Any help will be appreciated. EDIT :- I tried the following and this is an invalid syntax as this returns a boolean and not any nodelist:- XmlNodeList nodeList = document.SelectNodes("//*[self::A[@class!='custom'] or self::a[@class!='custom']] && [self::IMG or self::img]");

• Hosting a WCF service in a Windows service. Works, but I can't reach it from Silverlight.

  I've made me an application hosted WCF service for my Silverlight application to consume. When I host the WCF service in a forms application everything works fine. But when I host my WCF service in a windows service (as explained brilliantly here) I get the dreaded 'NotFound' Web Exception when I call it from Silverlight. The 'WCF Test Client' tool does not complain. I'm' exposing a decent clientaccesspolicy.xml at root. Yet Silverlight won't have it. I'm stumped. Anybody have an idea about what could be going on here?

• ASP.NET MVC2 - using LINQ-generated class

  There are few things not clear to me about ASP.NET MV2. In database I have table Contacts with several fields, and there is an additional field XmlFields of which type is xml. In that field are stored additional description fields. There are 4 classes: Contact class which corresponds to Contact table and is defined by default when creating LINQ classes ContactListView class which inherits Contact class and has some additional properties ContactXmlView class that contains fields from XmlFields field ContactDetailsView class which merges ContactListView and ContactXmlView into one class and this one is used to display data in view pages ContactListView class has re-defined some properties from Contact class (so that I can add [Required] filter used for validation) - but I get warning message: 'ObjectTest.Models.Contacts.ContactListView.FirstName' hides inherited member 'SA.Model.Contact.FirstName'. Use the new keyword if hiding was intended. ContactDetailsView class is also used in a form when creating new contact and adding it to database. I am not sure if this is correct way, and the warning message confuses me a bit. Any advise about this? Thanks, Ile

• Joda-Time: Period to string

  I'm using the Joda-Time library with Java. I'm having some difficulty trying to turn a Period object to a string in the format of "x days, x hours, x minutes". These Period objects are first created by adding an amount of seconds to them (they are serialized to XML as seconds and then recreated from them). If I simply use the getHours() etc. methods in them, all I get is zero and the total amount of seconds with getSeconds. How can I make Joda calculate the seconds into the respective fields, like days, hours, etc...?

• Something like Crystal Reports for PHP?

  I'm looking for something that works in PHP and is similar to crystal reports. I basically need to have a layout setup that means I can output invoices just by inserting the data, and then send it to a printer. The closest I've found so far is PDFB, but It's a bit of a pain as it needs to have precise positioning. I'd like to have something that could generate an invoice based on a template (preferably XML based) and then output it to a form easy for us to print (PostScript would be nice!) It needs to have support for barcodes too (though these can be generated as a GD image) Another requirement is that this must be FLOSS

  I've created a PreferenceActivity that allows the user to choose the theme he wants to apply to the entire application. When the users selects a theme, this code is executed: if (...) { getApplication().setTheme(R.style.BlackTheme); } else { getApplication().setTheme(R.style.LightTheme); } But, despite I've checked with the debugger that the code is being executed, I can't see any change in the user interface.   I have a swf hosted at domain A, and I have a html at domain B My swf is able to be loaded from accessing the html at domain B. However, the swf gets a SecurityError: Error #2060: Security sandbox violation: ExternalInterface caller http://domainA.com/TrialApp.swf cannot access http://DomainB.com/. The as3 is just the below: ExternalInterface.call("javascript:_invite();"); I've also loaded the crossdomain policy file from Domain B during initialization. It is running fine locally. but after deployed on the domain server it showing exception XML Parsing Error: no element found Location: http://{MyDomainIP}:{port}/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx Line Number 1, Column 1: I have deployed these reports under the windows authentication . since I tried to give anonymous access so that I can access it, But in IIS I could not found the virtual directory regarding these reports. so where are they deployed ? I could not understand how it is not permitting to the Admin account to show the reports. Please guide me I am using IIS 6.0 , SQL server2008 R2. I am totally new for the this kind of stuff. Edited: how can we give the anonymous access to the SSRS reports? It should not ask for username and password.I know we can do this by IIS , but some how I can not found my SSRS virtual directory. how can i do that ?

• Calling Status Bar notification from method from other class.

  Firstly, I am new to both android and Java. I have two classes, my main.class and Note.class. I am calling the notification method from my Note.class in my main.class when i press a button. The issue is with this line from the Note.class : PendingIntent contentIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, notificationIntent, 0); notification.setLatestEventInfo(context, contentTitle, contentText, contentIntent); When the method is called it force closes. I believe the problem to be with the "this" in PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, notificationIntent, 0);, but I am unsure what to change it to. The notification code works fine if it's in the main class. I would be very grateful for any guidance. • Android: Registering ContextMenu for a Custom ListAdapter

  Hi, I made a custom list adapter extending the Base adapter. Each item in the list has an imagebutton, 2 textviews and a button. I tried to add the context menu to the list so as to display some options for an item in the list. registerForContextMenu(getListView()); I used a MenuInflater object to inflate the context menu xml file. But on clicking the items in the list nothing shows up or the usual highlighting of the item of list on click isn't shown. Is it that the context menu doesn't work for custom list views? Any help would be much appreciated. Regards, Primal

• Android - Convert Color Resource to Color in Domain Object

  I have a domain object, where I created a method to return a text color based on the internal state of the domain object. I have defined the colors in a color.xml file as resources. The problem I have now, is that I would like to return a Color object instead of a resource ID from the domain object method. This way I can set the text color of a TextView by just calling textView.setTextColor(domainObj.getTextColor()) since it expects a Color object and not a resource ID. Currently, in an Activity, I can call getResources().getColor(domainObj.getTextColorResource()) to convert a resource ID to a color, but I would like this done in the domain object and I am not sure how I would do this when I do not have access to the getResources method. Are there any cleaner options than passing in a Resource object into the method, or domain object? Thanks

  Hi, I'm trying to draw an image in an ImageView, but i want it to be unscaled, with scrollbars as necessary. How can I accomplish this? Right now I just have a drawable set as the android:src of the ImageView in the XML. This autoscales the image to fit the screen width. I read that this might be because of the compatibility mode (developing for 1.5, testing on 2.1), but then I added <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="4" /> to my manifest, and nothing changed. Any clues?
