• Does constantly checking the documentation make you a bad coder?

  When writing PHP code for any given project, do you find you can write code off the top of your head? Or do you make multiple round trips to php.net? If it is the later, can you still be considered a good coder. This is a legitimate question as I find I have difficulty always remembering all of the functions that are available to me so I find I use php.net as a crutch. Is there anyway to improve this?

  I have a tab-delimited file that has over 200 million lines. What's the fastest way in linux to convert this to a csv file? This file does have multiple lines of header information which I'll need to strip out down the road, but the number of lines of header is known. I have seen suggestions for sed and gawk, but I wonder if there is a "preferred" choice.

  I am looking into solutions for providing multiple login methods to my site. I found rpxnow.com and they map user accounts from all the different networks. My question is how do they know that I am user1 on twitter and bigdude2 on facebook? I'm hoping it goes beyond email lookups. The end result I want is a unique user in my database no matter what account they sign in with, dupes are a no-no, but most likely inevitable I am guessing.

• jQuery - $.each loop through json code

  Due to the way my serverside script outputs I receive multiple JSON objects. {jsonhere}{jsonhere1}{jsonhere2}{jsonhere3} etc.. They aren't seperated by anything. If I would do a split based }{ I would lose those brackets. So is there an outerloop I can put over the regular $.each loop to make this work? Thank you, Ice

  I'm evaluating JasperReport and iReport, a requirement is the possibility to produce a multiple page report in which every page contains a different report. Example: Page 1 contains an actual invoice for a customer Page 2 contains the invoices list for the customer Page 3 contains a graph of amount of invoices by year Page 4 contains only fixed text (say operator instructions ...)   Hi In my report there is a table and a line. the table is showing rows of data from my DB. I want to know how you could make the table size commensurate with the line (make the length of the line is equal to the length of the table) I set the property "RepeatWith" in the line properties to the table in my report, but this isn't working because this will only work if the data region spans multiple pages. • healthy DLL reference broken after compile multi-project solution

  Hi. I have a solution with multiple class libraries. When I compile each individual library (and the web site by itself) compilation always succeeds. But, when I compile the solution as a whole, one of the library references fails with a little yellow exclamation mark next to the failed library. I am guessing this has to do with the build order?
