On the occasion of April Fool’s day 2012, Google released 8 bit Google Maps for Nintendo Entertainment System(NES). Here is the screen grab of Buckingham Palace, on 8 bit Google Maps. For those who are not aware of NES,  it is XBox of 1980’s.  NES is considered one of the most influential video game systems ever produced. Released in 1983, NES conquered millions of gamers heart and had a long lasting impact of 20 years. In the year of 2003, Nintendo finally stopped production of NES. • What do we call to "non-programmers" ? ( Like "muggle" in HP ) [closed]

  Sometimes I want to refer to people without coding powers as Muggles. But it doesn't quite feel right. Gamers have n00b ( but still a n00b has some notion of gaming ) I mean, for all those who Windows in the only OS in the world ( what's an OS ? would they ask ) For project manager who can't distinguish between excel and a database. For those who exclaim "Wooow! when you show them the ctrl-right click to see the webpage source code. What would be a good word to describe to these "persons without lack of coding ability?" Background I didn't mean to be disrespectful with ordinary people. It's just, sometimes it drives me nuts seeing coworkers struggling trying to explain to these "people" some concept. For instance, recently we were asked, what a "ear" was (in Java). My coworker was struggling on how to explain what is was, and how it differ from .war, .jar, etc. and talking about EJB's application server, deployment etc, and our "people"1 was like o_O. I realize a better way to explain was "Think about it as an installer for the application, similar to install.exe" and he understood immediately. This is none's fault, it is sometimes our "poeple" come from different background, that's it. Is our responsibility to talk at a level they can understand, some coworkers, don't get it and try very hard to explain programming concepts ( like the source code in the browser ). But I get the point, we I don't need to be disrespectful. ... But, I'm considering call them pebkac's 1As suggested

• Remastered King’s Quest Games Offer Classic Gaming on Modern Machines

  If you were a fan of the King’s Quest series of adventure games from the 1980s and 1990s, you’ll be thrilled to see them remastered with enhanced graphics, polished voice acting, and more. Gaming studio AGD Interactive has been engaged in a multi-year project to remaster and freely release the classic King’s Quest games. They started with King’s Quest I in 2001, moved on to King’s Quest II, and just recently released King’s Quest III (see in the screenshot above). The gameplay for all three games is excellent and really captures the feel of the original games (with better graphics, quality voice acting, and adjustments made for modern computers). When you run the game you first get a small pre-launch console. There you can make adjusts to the game before launching it. We’d recommend you enable the pixel doubling filter. It make the game a little blockier (hey you are playing a 1980s remake!) but it fills up high resolution monitors more effectively. • Androidify Turns You into an Android-style Avatar

  Androidify, a free application for Android phones, lets you create an Android-style avatar of yourself (or anyone, for that matter). Swap out the clothes, adjust the side of your noggin, add a pirate eye-patch, the customization options are abundant. Much like the Mii creator on the Wii, Androidify starts you off with the basics: skin color, hair style and color, adjustment of the body size. After that you can tweak things like clothing, accessories, facial hair and more. Once you’re done you can set it as your contact image, send it to others to use as your contact image, save as a photo, and other wise upload it with the social media tools you have on your phone. • How is the "change password at next logon" requirement supposed to work with RDP using Network Level Authentication?

  We have a Windows server (2008 R2) with the "Remote Desktop Services" feature installed and no Active Directory domain. Remote desktop is set up to "Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (more secure)". This means that before the remote screen is displayed, the connection is authenticated in a "Windows Security: Enter your credentials" window. The only two role services installed on this server is the RD Session Host and Licensing. When the "User must change password at next logon" checkbox is selected in the properties for a local user on this server, the following displays on a client computer after attempting to connect using the credentials that were last valid: On some other servers using RDP for admin access (but without the Remote Desktop Services role installed), the behavior is different -- the session begins and the user is given a change password prompt on the remote screen. What do I need to do to replicate this behavior on the Remote Desktop Services server?
