• good PCI-e Wireless card for Windows7?

  Hi I've just build a 64bit Windows 7 PC but am unhappy with the piddly performance of the linksys USB wireless dingle I've used. Can anyone suggest a good PCIe alternative that will be stronger for connection and maybe faster. I dont see why my desktop should show a weaker performance on wireless than my laptop when its sat next to it or even my Palm Pre for that matter. any thoughts? UK based max around £60ish. thanks, Ben

  I'm executed this commands with root user i'm on a CentOS 6.3 server: #useradd newuser #passwd newuser #visudo then I added this line at end of file: AllowUsers newuser #service sshd restart #exit Now, I can't access server with deployer or root user! Both accounts return: **Permission denied, please try again.** Any suggestions? EDIT: Why add AllowUsers newuser dont allows newuser to login by ssh?

  I recently changed permissions on my external usb drive so users by default dont have read permission. Now i realize i cannot search through the drive. after setting 'everyone' permission to read i could again. How do i set it so everyone does not have read permission except for my username (i hate clicking yes to admin prompt everytime i move a file) and allow the system to search the drive when users are allowed to access those files?

  i had a failed SP1 install... now im stuck with the system trying (and failing) to finilize instalation @boot, the system after log-in thinks its SP1 SP1 uninstaller says it cant uninstall SP1 installer says allready installed SP2 installer says install SP1 is there a way to remove SP1 information, fool the system to think it doesnt have service pack and install it again ? i REALLY dont want to reinstall windows. that would suck so badly that id rather stick with this pre-SP1 relic...

The backround is, that I do some backup via rsync and don`t wanna type the commandos everytime new. I also dont wanna use a cronjob, since my computer isnt running everytime. • Need to remove borders from multiple images

  I have a few hundred family images and they were all sent to us with borders that I would like to remove. Thankfully the borders are all the same size of 20 pixels and they are all .jpg so this will probably make things easier but im looking for a way to "batch process" all of them quickly so I dont need to open photoshop for each image and do it individually.   I am using http://www.pnotepad.org/ (i wouldnt mind switching to something else if it lightweight and has most/all features i like which i'll check on a app by app basis) When i create a new tab/file and save it unless i write .txt i get a file with no extention. Which makes it hard to open since i cant double click it (i dont think i can tell win7 to set a default app for files with no extension) How do i make pnotepad save with a .txt when non are specified?

• Vista 32-Bit Home Premium will not let me install any updates.

  Windows update says that it could not search for new updates and gives the error code 80070643. From what I have read it has something to do with Office 2003 and I dont even have it installed. I tried downloading and installing vista sp2 but it fails as well giving me error: ERROR_EVT_CONFIGURATION_ERROR(0x89973aa2). Can someone please help me resolve this issue?

  I have on my home Windows box - Cassini server with localhost:10000. And I want it be accessible in internet by my static IP. Tried netcat, "nc -l -p 10001 localhost 10000". But it results in "invalid connection to [IP] from [IP] 16074" Also before that it was working on Opera Unite properly, but now only writes a message: "An error occured. See error log for details". I dont know where to get that log.
