  • jQuery slider not working in Wordpress plugin

    I've written a plugin for wordpress and I want to use a slider on my page. In it's most basic form (now) to test, I have the for the slider on my page <div id="wpge-slider"></div> then in the plugin, I have my init action add_action('init', 'wpge_init' ); function wpge_init() { wp_enqueue_script('jquery'); wp_enqueue_script('jquery-ui-core'); wp_enqueue_script('wpge_search_results', get_bloginfo('wpurl') . '/wp-content/plugins/myplugintest/js/wpge_search_results.js', array('jquery'), '1.0'); } then in my own javascript page, I have jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $("#wpge-slider").slider(); }); Everything (to me) looks ok, and the scripts ARE being called in the header. I can see them on the page... yet the slider is not showing. Can anyone see where I'm going wrong?!

    Hi there, I have a whole bunch of mavenised projects, and I want to check that each project has the correct version of a parent pom. One way could be to checkout each project in turn, and then have a script that reads the parent section. Or is these some way of determining this from looking at the repository?     I have a multiple module project The first module contains my hibernate xml files and data java beans and packages as har. The second module defines my DAO classes. This module has a dependancy on data java beans with in the har and is defined in pom.xml. <dependency> <groupId>myproject</groupId> <artifactId>myhar</artifactId> <version>1.0</version> <type>har</type> </dependency> The first module compiles, packages and installs fine into my local repository. The problem is when the second modules compiles it has a problem finding the packages and class defined in my har module. I get the following output from running mvn install package myproject.myhar does not exist and build fails.

  • Limiting what a .net plugin can access

    I have a web application that can load plugins through reflection. It currently uses Assembly.LoadFrom() and Activator.CreateInstance() to get this done. Right now plugins are loaded into the same AppDomain and have access to anything in my app and anything my app could access. What I'm looking for is a way to limit what classes and methods the plugin can access for security purposes. I want to have all of my classes and methods throw an exception when called unless they are whitelisted. I'd be whitelisting basically all the functions in an API class and a few data transfer objects. I also don't want the plugin to be able to access the filesystem or the database on it's own. I think I can do that with trust levels in a separate AppDomain though. Does anyone out there have any good ideas or resources? Is this something that could be done with Code Access Security or the new Security-Transparent Code features in .net 4?

    Can I write a module/filter that gets put into the processing pipleline in Tomcat BEFORE the web application even gets run? Something that I could turn on/off for each web application that tomcat is handling. is this possible? So basically it would be a re-usable filter that hooks into the web pipeline that could alter the requests behavior or perform/modify the requests. One example would be to log all ip's, or redirect based on the url, block the request, etc.

    GlassFish Server 3.1.2.2 was released a few weeks ago. This micro release fixed a couple of important bugfixes - one in JAX-WS (JAX-WS-1059) and another one related to JK listener with Apache + mod_ajp_proxy (GLASSFISH-18446). This release is already integrated in NetBeans 7.2 and you can download separately from here. Maven coordinates for this build are now also described on the download page. The following fragment in your pom.xml will allow you to invoke embedded-glassfish:run, embedded-glassfish:deploy, and other similar commands. <dependency>    <groupId>org.glassfish.embedded</groupId>     <artifactId>maven-embedded-glassfish-plugin</artifactId>     <version>3.1.2.2</version> </dependency> GlassFish Embedded Server Guide provide more details about setup etc. Similarly full platform or Web profile implementation of GlassFish can be included as a single JAR using <dependency>    <groupId>org.glassfish.main.extras</groupId>    <artifactId>glassfish-embedded-web</artifactId>    <version>3.1.2.2</version></dependency> Of course, you need to replace "glassfish-embedded-web" with "glassfish-embedded-all" to get complete platform.  The download page provide more details different bundles and complete maven coordinates.   • Rewriting a URL for tomcat through an ajp connection

    I've tried several attempts to resolve this, but all have come up naught. Currently I have apache setup to forward all urls at and past the /portal/ tag to tomcat. Unfortunately, tomcat receives these requests through /portal/appName, a subdirectory in webapps rather than the webapps root directory where my wars are deployed. Is there a simple solution to this that I'm not seeing? I've been trying to use mod_rewrite to ^/portal/ $ / but that doesn't yield the expected results (perhaps I'm doing this wrong?).
