  • Replace this Hex chars from string in PHP

    I'm generating an XML from data that comes from database (and some JSON feeds). I'm having some problems with some texts that contains some hex chars that are breaking my XML. For example, see this screenshot of the error I get from Chrome: I identified the hex characters that are giving me problems (I believe they're called control characters). And these are: 0x03 0x05 0x16 0x0E How can I replace those characters with PHP before printing them on my XML output? Thanks!

    I am using WPF and the DocumentViewer to display a document. However, when I use DocumentViewerBase.Print, it gives the "standard" Windows dialog box asking me to choose a printer with the default already selected. How can I get rid of this? I just want to use a Print method that will automatically start printing with no other prompt in between.

    I want to convert HTML to PDF on an iOS Device... ...but I dont want to load my HTML in a UIWebView, take a snapshot and generate an ugly PDF from this snapshot picture...because the text must be selectable for my purpose. I wonder how Apps like Save2PDF or Adobe® CreatePDF are able to converting multiple files into PDF and save them. I guess they don't generate the PDF's by their own, but get them from Apples Printing Framework. How does this Apps work?

    I used NSLog(@"%@",super) in a method(any method) and it is crashing.... Why? How to print the super contents? Updated : currentclassname : superClassName { } and also if i use NSLog(@"%@", [super description]); It is printing "<currentclassname: 0x3db7230>" instead of superClassName...     I've got 256 colors working great in my terminal (test scripts here), but it stops working when I use ncurses (via Ruby-ncurses). Printing the escape sequences given on that page works fine, but when I initialize ncurses 'puts' stops working and I can't output the colors with any of the various ncurses color changing/string output functions I've found. What gives?

I'm told that when the print dialog is displayed and the user selects a page size that I should be either able to detect the change event or be able to check the size just before printing.     The escape_javascript method in ActionView escapes the apostrophe ' as backslash apostrophe \', which gives errors when parsing as JSON. For example, the message "I'm here" is valid JSON when printed as: {"message": "I'm here"} But, <%= escape_javascript("I'm here") %> outputs "I\'m here", resulting in invalid JSON: {"message": "I\'m here"} Is there a patch to fix this, or an alternate way to escape strings when printing to JSON?
