Changed the web server and cannot find where to change the deployment target in my solution... did have a look in .sln and .csproj but no settings found Get reasonable error message saying it cannot connect to 127.0.0.1:8010 which is correct

    Hi On my WSS server I have run the following stsadm command to filter the people picker results: stsadm.exe -o setproperty -url http://myserver -pn "peoplepicker-searchadcu stomfilter" -pv "(memberOf=CN=SharePoint,OU=AccessGroups,DC=contosio,DC=local)" My WSS sites are all used by different groups of users. Whenever I create a new site collection in WSS I want to ensure that I can filter the people picker to only show he relevant users for that group - can I automate this or would I have to manually do something like the above stsadm command?     Hi, I have a Sharepoint 2007 MOSS People Search webpart, used with a Paging webpart to display search results of people. The people search webpart displays results alphabetically on each page. But the results are not sorted alphabetically accross pages. Does anyone know anyway to acheive an alphabetical sort of people results accross pages, by changing the XSLT for e.g? Many Thanks, Nav

    Hi all I have a custom sharepoint aspx page that has a dropdownlist and a SPGridView. I put the dropdownlist inside an update panel so when the selected index changes the page does not refresh. It worked fine till I added a SPGridVew to the page with an ObjectDataSource as a datasource for it. after I added the SPGridView the page made full postbacks when the dropdownlist selection changes despite it is inside an update panel what is the reasin for this nand is there any workaround for this ? thanks

  • sharepoint full text query with attributes missing isn't returning the results I expected

    If I am doing a search in sharepoint, some of the results I'm expecting are not being returned. I believe its because in active directory these entries may not have all the fields. So a name that doesn't have the givenName attribute set in active directory is not being returned from this query. Is there a way I can get this to work like I expected? "select LastName, FirstName, PreferredName, AccountName from scope() where \"scope\"='People' AND (LastName like '%" + search + "%' OR FirstName like '%" + search + "%' OR PreferredName like '%" + search + "%')";

    Hi! I have Access DB with One StudentTable. I have created multiple queries from that table then Exported to SharePoint Different Sites. Student table is exported to Site Collection. I added multiple records to Student Table that is uploded in site collection. Now My problem is - those new records don't get reflected to other list (created queries and exported to SP sites) that are in different sites Is there any way to work around above problem.     I am trying to manually code some changes into my SharePoint Site Template. I can get the stp/cab file open and have added a new Element to the manifest.xml file, but when I repackage the stp and load it onto the server - the new site that I create using the updated .stp does not reflect the new link that I have added to the manifest.xml I realize this isn't the proper way to add a link to the sidebar but am interested to make it work this way, for other reasons.

    If a SharePoint user (with Regional Settings set to UK) views a calculated date field in a View details form, the field shows incorrectly. I am using: ddwrt:FormatDateTime(string(@RenewalDate), 1033, 'dd MMMM yyyy') Which shows 04 January 2010 for 01/04/2010 and, doesnt show unresolvable dates such as 31-Dec-2010. This applies even with a simnple =[Modified] formula The Server is set up in the US for that locale.
