  • Hide/Show some HTML table cells individually and align the remaining cells as they belong to the same row [closed]

    [Edited at the resquest of admins] The best way I can explain my problem is showning an example. I have the table that you can see on the link below (since I can't post images...), that ha a table head (blue) and four rows, whose cells are green and white in color. I just want the white cells to hide/show alternately by clicking on green cells, which would remain always visible as parent cells. After hiding white cells, the green ones should be aligned into the same row, as they would fit like tetris bricks.   • How do I create links in the cells of a PHP generated table?

    I have a table generated from some PHP code that lists a SMALL amount of important information for employees. I want to make it so each row, or at least one element in each row can be clicked on so the user will be redirected to ALL of the information (pulled from MySQL database) related to the employee who was clicked on. I am not sure how would be the best way to go about this, but I am open to suggestions. I would like to stick to PHP and/or JavaScript.     INFORMIX-SQL 7.3 Perform Screens: According to documentation, in an "after editadd editupdate of table" control block, its instructions are executed before the row is added or updated to the table, whereas in an "after add update of table" control block, its instructions are executed after the row has been added or updated to the table, supposedly meaning that any instructions which would alter values of field-tags linked to table.columns would not be committed to the table, but field-tags linked to displayonly fields will change?.. However, when using "after add update of table" I placed instructions which alter values for field-tags linked to table.columns and their displayed and committed values also changed!.. I would have thought that an "after add update of table" would only alter displayonly fields.

  • Can layouts be chosen by Grails controllers?

    I'm building a CMS as a learning exercise in Grails and would like to give content managers the ability to choose between different HTML page structures (e.g. 2 column, 3 column, etc). Grails Layouts seem like a logical choice but is it possible for a Grails controller to explicitly name which layout will be used for rendering? Ideally there would be a layout option to the render method, per Ruby on Rails but I don't see anything like it. It seems like it might be possible using the applyLayout method by passing the name of the layout but this requires each GSP page to explicitly request layout (annoying overhead per-page) rather than using Layout by Convention. Any ideas?

  • Qt hide QLayout (switch between two layouts)

    I didn't find solution for my problem with two QLayouts. I need app with QHBoxLayout with possible expandind when I will add new widgets, push buttons, .... So what I have: One QDialog and two layouts. Now I know that I can't hide the layout. So I tray just : layout()->removeItem(firstlayout); layout()->addLayout(secondLayout); But when I did this, I saw all items in first layout on possition [0,0]. So next step I try: for (all items in first layout) if (widget) widget->hide(); But this is working only with QWidget and I have many different items in layouts. Simply way is use the widget, because there is possibole to use hide/show, but I need auto expanding window when I add new items.

  • Hibernate won't autogenerate sequence table

    I'm trying to use a sequence table to generate keys for my entities. I notice that if I just use the @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.TABLE) with no explicit generator, Hibernate will automatically create the hibernate_sequences table in my DB if it doesn't exist. This is great. However, I wanted to make some changes to the sequence table, so I created a @TableGenerator like the following: @GeneratedValue(strategy=GenerationType.TABLE, generator="vdat_seq") @TableGenerator(name="vdat_seq", table="VDAT_SEQ", pkColumnName="seq_name", valueColumnName="seq_next_val", allocationSize=1) This works fine if I manually create the VDAT_SEQ table in my schema; Hibernate won't auto-create it anymore. This causes an issue in my unit tests, since I'd rather not have to manually create a table and maintain it on our testing DB. Is there a configuration variable or some other way to get Hibernate to generate the sequence table?

    I have the following salary data for example: Country State 2012 2013 -> 2027 ======= ===== ==== ==== China Other 1000 1100 China Shanghai 1310 1400 China Tianjin 1450 1500 India Orissa 1500 1600 So now in another Excel sheet I would want an answer to one of the following questions: What is the salary in Shanghai for 2013? (Answer would be 1400) What is the salary in Hubei province for 2012? (Since it is not listed, use "Other" - 1000) What is the average salary in China for 2013? (Answer would be 1450) What is the highest salary in China for 2012? (Answer is Tianjin) So as in the above order of priority, I would like those numbers in another Excel sheet using some form of query. I considered PivotTables but I was wondering if there is another much better more efficient way of doing this? I imagine SQL is suited for this but I am not clued up on that. Some Excel functionality is much rather preferred. Also suggestions on an appropriate format of data for such queries would be appreciated.

  • seeking help with Chrome & Safari not rendering my table stretched to fit its contents...help?

    I have an element on this web page I'm developing where I need my text to conform to the width of an image above it - whose width will always be different - think of captions. I have found numerous references to using a 1px table to force this width sizing behaviour. I am having problems, though with Safari and Chrome "seeing" this instruction - the text ends up as a marginally sized text box sitting behind the image. The problem, as I see it, has to do with the text and images sitting in div's nested within the table. I need the images to sit in a div because of some jquery script I'm using called cycle, which turns a group of images into a slideshow. The problem may have something to do with the script as well. In any case, I have tried a seeming infinite number of combination of floating left and clearing left on all all the divs, changing their positions and widths...nothing works. Anyone have any clues about how to broach this one?   • Linq To SQL: Behaviour for table field which is NotNull and having Default value or binding

    I found this something interesting while wandering over community which I would like to share. The post is whole about: DBML is not considering the table field's "Default value or Binding" setting which is a NotNull. I mean the field which can not be null but having default value set needs to be set IsDbGenerated = true in DBML file explicitly.Consider this situation: There is a simple tblEmployee table with below structure: The fields are simple. EmployeeID is a Primary Key with Identity Specification = True with Identity Seed = 1 to autogenerate numeric value for this field. EmployeeName and their EmailAddress to store in rest of 2 fields. And the last one is "DateAdded" with DateTime datatype which doesn't allow NULL but having Default Value/Binding with "GetDate()". That means if we don't pass any value to this field then SQL will insert current date in "DateAdded" field.So, I start with a new website, add a DBML file and dropped the said table to generate LINQ To SQL context class. Finally, I write a simple code snippet to insert data into the tblEmployee table; BUT, I am not passing any value to "DateAdded" field. Because I am considering SQL Server's "Default Value or Binding (GetDate())" setting to this field and understand that SQL will insert current date to this field.        using (TestDatabaseDataContext context = new TestDatabaseDataContext())        {            tblEmployee tblEmpObjet = new tblEmployee();            tblEmpObjet.EmployeeName = "KaushaL";            tblEmpObjet.EmployeeEmailAddress = "[email protected]";            context.tblEmployees.InsertOnSubmit(tblEmpObjet);            context.SubmitChanges();        }Here comes the twist when application give me below error:  This is something not expecting! From the error it clearly depicts that LINQ is passing NULL value to "DateAdded" Field while according to my understanding it should respect Sql Server's "Default value or Binding" setting for this field. A bit googling and I found very interesting related to this problem.When we set Primary Key to any field with "Identity Specification" Property set to true; DBML set one important property "IsDbGenerated=true" for this field. BUT, when we set "Default Value or Biding" property for some field; we need to explicitly tell the DBML/LINQ to let it know that this field is having default binding at DB side that needs to be respected if I don't pass any value. So, the solution is: You need to explicitly set "IsDbGenerated=true" for such field to tell the LINQ that the field is having default value or binding at Sql Server side so, please don't worry if i don't pass any value for it.You can select the field and set this property from property window in DBML Designer file or write the property in DBML.Designer.cs file directly. I have attached a working example with required table script with this post here.   • Get Layout Shape Corresponding to Slide Shape

    In PP2007 and using VBA, how can I get the placeholder shape on a Slide Master layout that is the "master" for a placeholder shape on the slide? I am currently using a loop to compare the position and size of the slide placeholder with the position and shape of each placeholder shape in the slide's layout, but this isn't fool-proof. For example, if the placeholder shape is moved on the slide, its position may no longer match the position of any placeholder shapes in the slide's layout. I could reapply the slide's layout to snap placeholders back into position, but that's not what I want to do. Something in the object model like "Shape.Master" would be ideal but, of course, that doesn't exist.
