    I'd like to build the olb3d library with my visual studio 2005 compiler but this failes due to template errors. To be more specific, the following expression seem to be a problem: void function(T u[Lattice::d]) On the website of the project is stated that prpably my compiler is not capable of such complicated template expressions - one should use the gcc 3.4.1. My question is now if there is a way to upgrade my vs c++ compiler so it can handle template expressions on the level as the gcc 3.4.1? Maybe it helps if I get a newer version of visual studio?   • C++ - checking if a class has a certain method at compile time

    Here's a question for the C++ gurus out there. Is there a way to check at compile time where a type has a certain method, and do one thing if it does, and another thing if it doesn't? Basically, I have a template function template <typename T> void function(T t); and I it to behave a certain way if T has a method g(), and another way if it doesn't. Perhaps there is something that can be used together with boost's enable_if? Something like this: template <typename T> enable_if<has_method<T, g, void ()>, void>::type function(T t) { // Superior implementation calling t.g() } template <typename T> disable_if<has_method<T, g, void ()>, void>::type function(T t) { // Inferior implementation in the case where T doesn't have a method g() } "has_method" would be something that preferably checks both that T has a method named 'g', and that the method has the correct signature (in this case, void ()). Any ideas?

    I have a class to evaluate set algebra but wish to template it. At the minute it looks a bit like this set.h: template<typename T> class SetEvaluation { public: SetEvaluation<T>(); std::set<T> evaluate(std::string in_expression); } set.cpp template<typename T> std::set<T> SetEvaluation<T>::evaluate(std::string expression) { std::set<T> result; etc etc... } But i'm getting undefined reference errors when compiling. Is it possible to declare the return type as std::set<T> and then pass std::string as the class template param. There are no errors in the class but only when I try to instantiate SetEvaluation<std::string> Can anyone shed light on this problem? thanks

  • How should I organize my mvc templates?

    Hi, In the new version of MVC we have been given display and editor templates. I was wondering how to make the best possible use of these. I was at first thinking in the line of creating one for a collection and one for an item in the case I want to display either as a list or single but it does not really make sense to me. I'll show you what I mean and please comment if this is wrong.     I want rsyslog to write log messages in JSON format, which requires to use double-quotes (") around strings. Problem is that values sometime include double-quotes themselves, and those need to be escaped - but I can't figure out how to do that. Currently my rsyslog.conf contains this format that I use (a bit simplified): $template JsonFormat,"{\"msg\":\"%msg%\",\"app-name\":\"%app-name%\"}\n",sql But when a msg arrives that contains double quotes, the JSON is broken, example: user pid=21214 uid=0 auid=4294967295 msg='PAM setcred: user="oracle" exe="/bin/su" (hostname=?, addr=?, terminal=? result=Success)' turns into: {"msg":"user pid=21214 uid=0 auid=4294967295 msg='PAM setcred: user="oracle" exe="/bin/su" (hostname=?, addr=?, terminal=? result=Success)'","app-name":"user"} but what I need it to become is: {"msg":"user pid=21214 uid=0 auid=4294967295 msg='PAM setcred: user=\"oracle\" exe=\"/bin/su\" (hostname=?, addr=?, terminal=? result=Success)'","app-name":"user"}

  • MS Word - Keeps requesting user to save Normal template

    We have Small Business Server 2008 setup on a couple of our clients networks and we have the following issue. Whenever they logon, Microsoft word automatically opens and requests them to save their changes to the template 'Normal'. It constantly happens, we have a mixture of Win 2000 and XP machines and it seems to happen more often on XP than 2000. Any idea why this might be happening and how we can resolve it, it's just frustrating for the end users. PS: This is happening on Office 2000 and Office 2003.

    I recently built a server with hypervm and xen, now i know xen from command line, but hypervm ties into our whmcs and so its a requirement, however my question is this, when i build a new o/s template my partition table is gone, and i know why, but i was wondering if anyone has built anything in hypervm for adding in partition tables, so i dont have to reinvent the wheel :). i can do it command line in the created vm with fdisk, and i have tracked down the creation scripts for hypervm but i am unsure if these insert directly into the machine as it looks like a lot of the things it does are externalized and are for xen to assign things like ip address etc.. oh and on an aside when i go in to modify the .cnf file to change the boot disk from cdrom to drive on windows when i boot using hypervm it overwrites my setting again..frustrating as heck, i've been trying to track down where in the code it does this, has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it if you did?

  • Plesk 9 - unable to modify atmail vhost template

    Running into a small issue recently that causes my server's atmail to fail authenticating users. I gathered from a web search that it's because i recently enabled apc on the server. I've found some reference mentioning I need to modify the atmail vhost template, but that reference is for Plesk 10 (i'm on 9). The atmail config isn't in the same spot. I've found this unrelated topic that explains how to modify the vhost settings for atmail on plesk 9, which I have done (adding php_admin_flag apc.enabled off to it). I then recompiled the server config using /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/websrvmng -a but it doesn't seem to pick up the changes. If I look at /etc/httpd/conf.d/zzz_atmail_vhost.conf after recompiling it still doesn't show the apc settings. Summary of steps taken: Modified /etc/psa-webmail/atmail/atmail_vhost.conf and added php_admin_flag register_globals off to the config Recompiled with /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/websrvmng -a Checked /etc/httpd/conf.d/zzz_atmail_vhost.conf But no changes. What am I missing?

  • ignore or override current document page formatting with predefined settings automatically libreoffice

    When opening a document made by someone else, I would like the margins to automatically be set to 0.4 cm, the page orientation to landscape and page size to A3. My dad gets emailed a spreadsheet weekly and he prints them off. To fit them onto one page he applies these settings, which is quite laborious. I thought that there must be a quicker way of doing this! I tried creating a new default template with these settings but this only works for a new blank document. I tried to create a style to quickly apply these settings but I realised these styles are document / template specific (?) and so don't appear when opening someone else's document. Anyone have any ideas how I can do this? Thanks =]

  • How to apply a folder template to more than one selected folder in Vista?

    I would like to apply a folder template to a number of folders. I selected the folders, opened the properties, selected the folder template (e. g. Music Details) and clicked OK. When I checked the folders I noticed that the template was only applied to the folder I performed the right click to open the properties on. The other folders remained untouched. I can't apply the template to the parent folder and use the "Also apply this template to all subfolders" option because the template should only be applied to specific folders and not all. Going over each folder in not an option because it's a large amount of folders. Is it possible to apply a folder template to more than one selected folder at a time?

I did manage to (I think?) extract the default template via the method here. Now what I would love to is improving the readability by avoiding all the node nesting.     This is my problem. I'm using different sql-queries for fetching some people, some come from my database and some come from an external database. They are all sorted in the same "list", only the difference is, that the people who come from our database will have a different lay-out and there will be less of them in a row (eg. 1 in a row), the list of people who come from the external database will be ordered by 3 (in a row). How can i implement this using a repeater? And how would the pagination work? Any "logical", working alternatives will be appreciated also, but i prefer to keep my current workflow to solve this problem. Short: - Multiple datasources - Multiple templates for the different datasources (1 in a row, 3 in a row) - Pagination in this problem?

  • Create user variable in Intellij File Template

    I am trying to use Intellij's file templates (not live templates) to help mitigate how much boilerplate code I use when making Services, daos, and their interfaces. I am able to use all the system defined variables just fine, such as ${PACKAGE_NAME} What I want though, is to be able to use my own variable names, like ${MY_USER_INPUT} however, when i do this like above, I get an error The documentation says : It is also possible to specify arbitrary number of custom variables in format ${<VARIABLE_NAME>}. and then Intellij is supposed to prompt the user for the value. However, this just plain doesn't work for me. What am I missing?
