  • Mount network drives over ssh on Windows

    There is a remote filesystem I can reach through ssh. On Linux, there are several ways of dealing with it. I like sshfs, because with it I can work with the remote files the same way as with my local files. Is there any similar to Windows, that can map a network drive through ssh? The best I can use is WinSCP, which is good, but not good enough.

  • Make the middle mouse button behave as a double-click in Windows 7?

    What is the best, lightest-weight way to make the middle mouse button (i.e. clicking the scroll wheel) behave as a double-left-click in Windows 7? I want this to be universal, so that other programs don't ever see the middle-click, they just see a double-left-click. I used to do it under Windows XP with Logitech SetPoint drivers but it was always an ugly solution - installing a huge ( 50 MB!) binary just to enable one simple little bit of functionality.

    In his recent blogpost, Thoughts on Flash, Steve Jobs says: We also know first hand that Flash is the number one reason Macs crash. My best guess is that Flash runs in user-mode, with restricted privileges. Is is impossible to crash a system having restricted privileges. What am I missing?

    Can anyone recommend a manufacturer or starting point for overhead video camera units that can be used to capture a Microsoft Surface application in use? I'd like to stream this from another PC but I'm not sure what the best camera to look at would be. It seems like some of the overhead security cameras would fit the requirements but I don't know if they will interface easily with a PC.

So, know I need to redirect my domain to my ip and configure BIND dns server? What configuration I have to do to redirect my domain account to my ip and create my own dns server?   • Flash video has become jittery in Karmic

    When I first installed Karmic, I must have installed a Flash player or else it came with Karmic. It worked fine and I have been running the Ubuntu updates whenever requested by the OS. However, now my Flash video is extremely jittery and the whole computer kinds of slows down whenever I try to play a Flash video file. I have no idea what type of Flash player is running or what is the best one to use. Would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks.

    I have a server app that crushes when the HDD free space it's a multiple of 4Gb (on a Windows Server 2003). In general i keep track myself o that weekly since i use the machine from time to time. Can you point out an app or script (i don't wanna install powershell, is this doable???) that copies some larger files from one folder to another to get the free space out of the multiple of 4Gb range. However, the best way I know to put a foreground job to the background is to do Ctrl+z to pause it then bg 1 to resume it in the background. Is there a faster way?
