    Hi, i´m development a suggest box for my site search service. I has to search fields like these: Visual Basic Enterprise Edition Visual C++ Visual J++ My code is: Directory dir = Lucene.Net.Store.FSDirectory.GetDirectory("Index", false); IndexSearcher searcher = new Lucene.Net.Search.IndexSearcher( dir,true); Term term = new Term("nombreAnalizado", _que); PrefixQuery query = new PrefixQuery(term); TopDocs topDocs = searcher.Search(query, 10000); This code works well in this case: "Enterprise" will match "Visual Basic Enterprise Edition" But "Enterprise E" doesn´t match anything. I removed white spaces at indexing time and when the user is searching. Thanks.

  • Windows Media Encoder object not created in ASP.NET on MS Server 2003 64 bit

    Hello, I created (and used) a Windows Media Encoder object in Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition on MS Server 2003 64 bit. This worked fine. However, when I attempted to create the equivalent Windows Media Encoder object using Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 on MS Server 2003 64 bit, the following exception was thrown: "Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {632B606A-BBC6-11D2-A329-006097C4E476} failed due to the following error: 80040154." It cannot be that the component isn’t registered, because both have a reference to the same WMEncEng.dll file. The Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 code also worked fine on XP 32 bit. Could it be a problem with permissions? Regardless, anyone have any ideas why this problem is occurring and, more importantly, how to resolve it? Thank you.     we use an application that has an "export to excel" feature that doesn't work on PC's that done have outlook express installed. i know, you're thinking "WTF does outlook express have to do with excel files?" i asked the same thing, and here's what i found: the file being generated is actually one of those Microsoft Single File Web Pages (.mht) and NOT an excel file you need to have outlook express installed to actually view a .mht file. i've explained to their support people that just because you can slap a .xls on a file and excel will open it does not mean its an excel file, and does not mean that this is the right way to do it. how would you explain that this is not proper?

  • How can I run a BitchX when I don't have ssh or shell access?

    I just installed an IRC bot, B****X (Don't ask, I don't know - the real name is not censored). I did all of the configuration and chmod'ed the pl files to 755, but running it won't work. My host does not allow SSH/Shell (which is how the documentation says to runs he script), but just going to the URL usually works because of this. However, I get a 500 (Internal Server Error) error.     Hello! I have such situation - I'd like to build timeline control. So I have UserControl and ItemsControl on it (every row represents some person). The ItemsControl contains another ItemsControl as ItemsControl.ItemTemplate - it shows e.g. events for the person arranged by event's date. So it looks as some kind of grid with dates as a column headers and e.g. peoples as row headers. ........................|.2010.01.01.....2010.01.02.....2010.01.03 Adam Smith....|......[some event#1].....[some event#2]...... John Dow.......|...[some event#3].....[some event#4]......... I can have a lot of persons (ItemsControl #1 - 100-200 items) and a lot of events occured by some day (1-10-30 events per person in one day) the problem is that when user scrolls ItemsControl #1/#2 it happened toooo sloooooowwww due to a lot of elements should be rendered in one time (as I have e.g. a bit of text boxes and other elements in description of particular event) Question #1 - how can I improve it? May be somebody knows better way to build such user control? I have to mention that I'm using custom Virtual panel, based on some custom Virtual panel implementation found somewhere in internet... Question #2 - I'd like to make image with help of WriteableBitmap and render data bound control to image and to show image instead of a lot of elements. Problem is that I'm trying to render invisible data bound control (created in code behind) and it has actualWidth/Height equals to zero (so nothing rendered). How can I solve it?     Hi, I need serious help building two Regex statements for a project. The software we're using ONLY accepts Regex for validation. I need one that fires for any date <4/1/2009 and a second that fires for any date <10/1/2009 My co-worker gave me the following code to check for <=10/01/2010, but it checks leap years and all that stuff. I need something a little more streamlined than this in the MM/DD/YYYY format.     In c# there are attributes such as [obsolete] that create compiler warnings that will be shown in visual studio. Is there an attribute that I can use to mark a method or a class with a comment that should be shown as a warning in visual studio when I compile? Something like: [TBD(Msg="Please change me after 2010 07 20")] public void Foo(){ } or is there a possibility that I can derive from System.Attribute and make my own attribute, configuring visual studio so that it behaves as I described.

There's an added layer of complexity that I have a date restriction (This is on a per user/group basis) where certain user groups can only see between certain dates.   • Running Solr on VPS problems

    I have a VPS with Ubuntu OS. I run solr om my local machine (windows xp laptop) just fine. I have configured Jetty, and Solr just the same way as on my computer, but on the server. I have also downloaded the JRE and installed it on the server. However, whenever I try to run the start.jar file, the PuTTY terminal shows a bunch of text but gets stuck. I could pase the text here but it is very long, so unless somebody wants to see it I wont. Also, I cant view the solr admin page at all. Does anybody have experience in this kind of problem? Maybe java isn't correctly installed? It is a VPS so maybe installation is different. This is what happens the 'first' time my pickerView is called. Each subsequent call to the view, with no 'current date' gives me a different and later date from today. So, first time I get today's date say 9 Jun 2010 second time datePicker.date returns 10 Jun 2010 third time 11 Jun 2010 and so on. Though its not always incremental, but mostly it is. I have put NSLogs, and verified the initial date is set correctly. The problem is only on the device (on OS 3.0), the issue is not replicated on simulator. I can't find what I have done wrong. I hope somebody else has come across similar problem and can help me resolve this.

I've covered all the basics but I'm stuck with ordering of content. As an example, the archive of the site is orderable by date, views, and rating. Since we don't have that many news items, an archive page for a particular day has usually only a couple of items, so the following URLs all have the same content, albeit in different ordering: /news/archive/2010/05/16/ /news/archive/2010/05/16/?o=views /news/archive/2010/05/16/?o=rating Do search machines penalize this particular kind of duplication of content? And if yes, what's the best way to avoid said penalty? <link rel="canonical" />? Tell Google & Co. to ingore the o parameter? Marking the ordering links with nofollow?     Would it make sense to perform git rebase while preserving the commit timestamps? I believe a consequence would be that the new branch will not necessarily have commit dates chronologically. Is that theoretically possible at all? (e.g. using plumbing commands; just curious here) If it is theoretically possible, then is it possible in practice with rebase, not to change the timestamps? For example, assume I have the following tree: master <jun 2010> | : : : oldbranch <feb 1984> : / oldcommit <jan 1984> Now, if I rebase oldbranch on master, the date of the commit changes from feb 1984 to jun 2010. Is it possible to change that behaviour so that the commit timestamp is not changed? In the end I would thus obtain: oldbranch <feb 1984> / master <jun 2010> | : Would that make sense at all? Is it even allowed in git to have a history where an old commit has a more recent commit as a parent? So my question was actually not precise enough. The answer is that rebase actually doesn't change the author's timestamps (you don't need to do anything for that), which suits me perfectly.
