The option is greyed out and when you edit the Reference.vb file manaully, when running, it complains about not being able to serialize because it is not public. I don't want the service to be exposed outside of the DLL. Is this possible?

  Hello, I am looking for a javascript/jquery solution to build a map with selectable tracks. It will consist of area's map (image) with some river routes for boats that have to be selectable - route have to be made clearer on mouse hover and after user clicks on a route a popup window should emerge. Basically I am just looking for a solution for this type of 'map'. Maybe there are some jquery widgets/plugins that would ease the work ? I don't know where to start actually.. • WCF Windows service permissions problem

  I have created a WCF service and hosted it using Windows Services host. To install the project I created an installation project (as described here). In the tutorial, it says to define in the ProjectInstaller.cs the serviceProcessInstaller1 Account property to be Network Service. When using this setting the service did not started on the server. When I tried to start the process manually, it immediately return to stopped state. After when I changed the Account to LocalSystem the service works properly. My questions are: Any ideas why it won't work with Network Service account? What are the security implications of using a server with LocalSystem account? This server is used locally in the intranet as a reporting server for other servers.

  I have created a simple blog application with Ruby on Rails. The applications consists of two tables, posts and comments. Comments belongs_to :post and posts has_many :comments. I created posts table with the following columns: title:string, body:text. I created the comments table with the following columns: body:text post_id:integer name:string email:string In the /views/comments/index.html.erb display I would like to show a listing of all comments w/ the post title as well. Currently, the index view only displays post_id, body, name, email. How do I replace the post_id column with the corresponding post title? • Is it possible to force ignore the :hover pseudoclass for iPhone/iPad users?

  I have some css menus on my site that expand with :hover (without js) This works in a semi-broken way on iDevices, for example a tap will activate the :hover rule and expand the menu, but then tapping elsewhere doesn't remove the :hover. Also if there is a link inside the element that is :hover'ed, you have to tap twice to activate the link (first tap triggers :hover, second tap triggers link). I've been able to make things work nicely on iphone by binding the touchstart event. The problem is that sometimes mobile safari still chooses to trigger the :hover rule from the css instead of my touchstart events! I know this is the problem because when I disable all the :hover rules manually in the css, mobile safari works great (but regular browsers obviously don't anymore). Is there a way to dynamically "cancel" :hover rules for certain elements when the user is on mobile safari? I'm using jQuery.

  Hello I have a mysql database table to store country name and currency symbol - the CHARSET has correctly set to UTF8. This is example data inserted into the table insert into country ( country_name, currency_name, currency_code, currency_symbol) values ('UK','Pounds','GBP','£'); When I look in the database - the pound symbol appears fine - but when I retrieve it from the database and display it on the website - a weird square symbol shows up with a question mark inside instead of the pound symbol.   Okay, so I appreciate that Javascript is not C# or PHP, but I keep coming back to an issue in Javascript - not with JS itself but my use of it. • Need help making row of buttons consistent

  I'm making my first website, and I'm trying to make variable-sized buttons so they'll render correctly on low resolution (read: mobile) browsers. Currently I just have the usual rollover image solution (185 pixels wide by 37 tall if anybody cares), but when I preview the site in low resolution it looks, predictably enough, like complete crap (more specifically they don't have room so they arrange vertically instead of horizontally and take up a huge amount of screen real estate). Semi-related, is there a way to overlay text on a button without saving separate images, each with the correct text? Just using a single template for buttons and then deciding what text goes on it as it's needed? tl;dr: I'm trying to get a horizontal lineup of buttons for navigating my website, but I'm a noob and I can't do it right without your generous assistance.

• Replay attacks for HTTPS requests

  Let's say a security tester uses a proxy, say Fiddler, and records an HTTPS request using the administrator's credentials-- on replay of the entire request (including session and auth cookies) the security tester is able to succesfully (re)record transactions. The claim is that this is a sign of a CSRF vulnerability. What would a malicious user have to do to intercept the HTTPS request and replay it? It this a task for script kiddies, well funded military hacking teams or time-traveling-alien technology? Is it really so easy to record the SSL sessions of users and replay them before the tickets expire? No code in the application currently does anything interesting on HTTP GET, so AFAIK, tricking the admin into clicking a link or loading a image with a malicious URL isn't an issue.
