• Struts 1 - struts-taglib.jar is not being found by my web application

  I am using Struts-1. I have developed a struts-based web application. I am using struts tags in my JSP pages supplied in struts-taglib.jar by inserting the following lines in the JSP file: <%@ taglib prefix="html" uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-html" %> <%@ taglib prefix="logic" uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-logic" %> <%@ taglib prefix="bean" uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-bean" %> Now the application is working fine when I run it on my localsystem but when I deploy it on a server, it shows the following exception: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: The absolute uri: http://struts.apache.org/tags-html cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application From the above exception, it seems that the application hasn't found the struts-taglib.jar file. But I have put the struts-taglib.jar in /WEB-INF/lib directory. Then where is the problem? • LaTeX: Default font(s) for greek letters?

  I'm a programmer but new to (La)TeX. As far as I can tell, neither the Computer Modern nor Latin Modern fonts have glyphs for the full greek alphabet. I installed (OS X) a Latin Modern font that came with TeX Live (lmroman10-regular.otf). As you can see in the attached image, the lowercase greek letters (and nabla) are displayed (TextEdit) using some default font. Also shown in the image is LaTeXiT displaying pretty lowercase greek letters that seem to be Latin-Modern-Italic-ish. So what font(s) are used by LaTeX for greek (and math symbols)? • IIRF not working with AsP.NET PostBacks?

  Hi, I have the following scenario Web server A: public on the internet, IIRF (current version) installed Web server B: on the intranet, visible to A, my APS.NET web app is installed on, name is pgdbtest3 I configure IIRF so that any request targetting directory /MMS/ on server A is redirected to the corresponding one http://pgdbtest3/MMS/. The ini file look like: StatusUrl /iirfStatus RemoteOk RedirectRule ^/MMS$ /MMS/ [I] ProxyPass ^/MMS/(.*)$ http://pgdbtest3/MMS/$1 [I] It is working fine except that any post back causes an error (404 is returned). I have tried many solutions including the removal of the action attribute from the form but with no luck. Please help!

• LicenseException for Xceed DataGrid for WPF

  I have developed a simple DB-editing app using Xceed's excellent DataGrid for WPF (UX Edition version 3.7), which is now ready for deployment... except that when I run it on a machine other than the development one where it was built, I am getting the runtime exception for invalid licensing. I have included my license key in the App.xaml.cs exactly as specified in the Xceed docs, like so: public partial class App : System.Windows.Application { protected override void OnStartup(StartupEventArgs e) { Xceed.Wpf.DataGrid.Licenser.LicenseKey = "DGF37-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxx"; base.OnStartup(e); } } The correct version of the DataGrid DLLs are being included in the setup and the application's program directory, and there are no other versions on the target machine. Debugging doesn't show me anything useful other than the LicenseException that is thrown when the code tries to use the DataGrid, with the message that reads "Xceed.Wpf.DataGrid.Licenser.LicenseKey property must be set to a valid license key in the code of your application before using this product..." Any idea what's going wrong here?

• Java JMS = HornetQ = javax.jms.JMSSecurityException: Unable to validate user: null ?

  Hello Experts, I am trying for several hours to get the HornetQ Examples running in Eclipse. Using the Standalone Examples everything works fine, but when I run the examples in Eclipse I get the following error: javax.jms.JMSSecurityException: Unable to validate user: null What could this error mean? Where do I have to specify the user? Maybe HornetQ tries to look this user up in "Some Context/Properties" etc , but I do not know where and how to specifiy the user HornetQ is running under. What i did: 1.)Started Default HornetQ Server with the start.sh Script in the ./bin directory 2.)Copied the QueueExample over to eclpise 3.)Did some minor changes in the config files (to have the same Queue Names...) (I also tried to disable security completely by setting: <security-enabled>false</security-enabled> but with no success, always getting the same error. Also when trying to programmatically instance HornetQ only via classes I get this error too). Thank you very much!! Jens

• django ignoring admin.py

  I am trying to enable the admin for my app. I managed to get the admin running, but I can't seem to make my models appear on the admin page. I tried following the tutorial (here) which says: (Quote) Just one thing to do: We need to tell the admin that Poll objects have an admin interface. To do this, create a file called admin.py in your polls directory, and edit it to look like this: from polls.models import Poll from django.contrib import admin admin.site.register(Poll) (end quote) I added an admin.py file as instructed, and also added the following lines into urls.py: from django.contrib import admin admin.autodiscover() urlpatterns = patterns('', ... (r'^admin/', include(admin.site.urls)), ) but it appears to have no effect. I even added a print 1 at the first line of admin.py and I see that the printout never happens, So I guess django doesn't know about my admin.py. As said, I can enter the admin site, I just don't see anything other than "groups", "users" and "sites". What step am I missing?

Is there a way I can have a conditional in the .htaccess file similar to the one I have in the bootstrap so that it will use the correct RewriteBase?

  For some reason, we can't update the SVN in some build machines. Installed svn version is 1.3.x. But Hudson slave used 1.6 to create a checkout.   Hiya, I followed this tutorial below http://code.google.com/apis/maps/articles/phpsqlajax_v3.html#outputxml I ran into trouble, near then end, I am hoping someone else here has got this working and can help me discover my problem. Simply there are 4 steps to this tutorial Creating the Table Populating the Table Outputting XML with PHP Creating the Map I successfully have completed all the steps, however the outputted xml isn't read by the google map I created. The files are all on the same directory, and I didn't change any of the file names from the tutorial. The tutorial has a step to test if the php file called phpsqlajax_genxml.php is outputting the xml and I successfully tested it and it was. The problem is that the map isn't rendering the items I have in the database, that should be converted to xml for the map to read. Any help, or pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

  Hi, I have a requirement to work on a VS2003 web project. I have VS2008,vs2010,vs2003 installed in my system Other System details are Windows Xp professional version 2 service pack 3. IIS 5.1 When i am trying to create a VS 2003 web project giving the localhost as path i am getting the following error. "visual studio noted that specified web server is not running under asp .net 1.1 version.You will be unable to run asp .net web applications or services". I have used aspnet_regiis commands as well as a tool(ASPNETVersionSwitcher.exe ) to swith versions and in iis also default web site asp.net version chosen as asp .net 1.14322. Still i am getting the error. same error i get ,if i point a virtual directory in the existing 1.1 .net web application and trying to open it. Please advise since i have to work on this project as soon as possible. Thanks SNA

• Asp.net fileupload control postback problems

  using ASP.net, vs2008 C#. Im using a FileUpload control on a webform. The uploading of a file (ie PDF dcouments) to a server directory works ok. I have on the webform a "preview" button that the user can use to preview the PDF file after they have selected it via the Fileupload browse feature. I do this by if (this.FileUpload1.HasFile) { localURL = FileUpload1.PostedFile.FileName; // use this to preview file. Other methods are restricted by local security requirements Process.Start(localURL); } My problems is that after the button click Postback occurs the location of the selected file disappears from the textbox part of the Fileupload control. How can i keep this info there, so the user does not have to browse again and instead can just click upload to upload the file. Any help appreciated thanks

• importing pywiiuse to test out

  This is probably a simple problem. But I downloaded the pywiiuse library from here and I also downloaded the examples. However when I try to run one of the examples I end up with import issues. I'm not certain I have everything configured properly to run. • URL on apache server does not default to the .php file after / has been added

  Generally a url that looks like this: http://www.domain.com/product.php/12/ will open up product.php and serve the /12/ as request parameters, which then my PHP script can process to pull out the right product info. However when I migrated this whole site, after developing it, to a new server, I get a 404 error, because on that server it's not defaulting to the mother directory/file in case of an absence of requested directories. I vaguely remember learning that this is generally a common apache function but I can't seem to recall how to set it up or how to manipulate it.. if there's an .htaccess method to achieve this that would be great.

  we have a setup developed in installshield vr 6.3. it is a self extractable single setup. it work fine in most on most of the Windows version but on Windows server 2003 64bit in Execution mode when doing RD it return user windows directory against WINDIR i.e. c:\documents & settings\fcuser\windows instead of C:\Windows. According to http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=186499 it should work fine when i change the compatibility bit of Setup but it didn't. i tried changing compatibility bit of these key too (INSTRUN, SETUP and SETUP1 ) but it didn't work either. but when i when i run the setup within the self extractable by extracting it work fine.

• Unable to load libsctp.so for non root user

  I have a Linux application that uses the libsctp.so library. When I run it as root, it runs fine. But when I run it as an ordinary user, it gives the following error: error while loading shared libraries: libsctp.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory But, when I do ldd as ordinary user, it is able to see the library: [sanjeev@devtest6 src]$ ldd myapp ... ... libsctp.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libsctp.so.1 (0x00d17000) [sanjeev@devtest6 src]$ ls -lL /usr/local/lib/libsctp.so.1 -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27430 2009-06-29 11:26 /usr/local/lib/libsctp.so.1 [sanjeev@devtest6 src]$ What could be wrong? How is the ldd is able to find libsctp.so, but when actually running the app, it is not able to find the same library?

  So I'm using Visual C++ 6.0, and trying to compile some source code, but upon compilation I get this: Linking... LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file "Iphlpapi.lib" Error executing link.exe. I'm using the correct SDK, and the directories are correct. I've checked, double checked, and triple checked. The file is the specified directory. I can't figure out what the problem is. Any ideas? Service Pack 6 SDK for Windows Server 2003 SP1 //Sounds odd, since I'm running XP SP3, but this has worked for me in the past. Like I've said, it worked in the past for me, flawlessly. I don't understand why it won't work now.

• Macports sudo expands ~ to /var/root in python

  This might be a bit dev-heavy for the site... but here goes. I installed the macports version of sudo. All is well, except for one thing. Using python 2.6 to expand ~ to the user's home directory results in a different output than the version of sudo that comes with Snow Leopard. For example consider the following python code: #expand_home_dir.py import os os.path.expanduser('~') Below are 3 different calls of the code listed above. The first call using sudo is using the Macports version because my $PATH begins with /opt/local/bin: robert$ python2.6 expand_home_dir.py /Users/robert robert$ sudo python2.6 expand_home_dir.py /var/root robert$ /usr/bin/sudo python2.6 expand_home_dir.py /Users/robert Any idea why this is happening?

• Having Problems Getting FreeTTS and JSAPI Working

  I have a simple project idea based off of FreeTTS and the JSAPI (Java Speech API) I've downloaded and unpacked FreeTTS and run their build script. Then tried compiling my code linking in the lib directory into the class path like this: javac -cp /home/travis/Desktop/freetts-1.2/lib HelloUnleashedReader.java Which then compiles to java bytecode just fine. However when I run: java HelloUnleashedReader I get the following error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/speech/EngineModeDesc Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated as there are many sites around the net discussing problems with getting it to work but not many that discuss their solution.
