• How do I animate a UIButton in a UITableView?

  I currently have a UITableView with each cell containing four UIButtons. I am placing an image for each button with a downloaded picture from online. I'd like to have the button fade in when the image is finished downloading. I know I can animate in the viewDidLoad, but I assign the image in the cellForRowAtIndex function. How do I go about animating just the UIButton at a later point in time when I update the UIButton with the image?

• Navigating between 2 ViewControllers

  Im using Navigation Controller for my ViewControllers,I set my importantViewController as something like this to be its RootView: UINavigationController *navControl = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController: vc]; [self presentModalViewController: navControl animated: YES]; Then, I pushView anotherView the FrontViewController like this: [self.navigationController pushViewController:vc animated:YES]; After a button is pressed in FrontViewController another view will be pushed ViewA but it is connected with another ViewController ViewB the same way as this AGAIN: [self.navigationController pushViewController:vc animated:YES]; (Which I think Im doing wrong when dismissing either of them with [self.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated:YES];) This is an illustration: My problem is, I need to navigate between View A and View B then when I dismiss either of them it will got back to FrontViewController. Like a child of a child View. Thanks.

  When I look at an NSDate value in the debugger, I get something like this: 1.4.2010 22:01:47 +0100 I don't get it what this +0100 is good for. Sometimes it is +0200. Is that supposed to be the time zone or something like that? What's it exactly? How does it affect the "since reference date" value?

  I have a grouped UITableView that has 3 sections and a number of cells in each section that each need to be a different custom cell, with different display requirements. I currently have a large if statement in cellForRowAtIndexPath, with each branch instantiating and returning the appropriate custom cell based on interrogating the indexPath's section and row properties. e.g. if (indexPath.section == 0 && indexPath.row == 0) { // instantiate and return cell A } else if (indexPath.section == 1 && indexPath.row == 2) { // instantiate and return cell B } //etc etc What is best practice for this scenario? A large if statement does the job, but is it the best implementation?

• Xcode automatically converts the object to NSArray

  I have been working on an app and during the development, I am facing a very strange problem. I have a NSMutableArray tempSortedArray, which is full of objects of Store types. All the objects are valid as I can see them in my GUI, the problem arises when I iterate through the array, at index 90, which can be generally anyone, the XCode converts the Store object to NSMutableArray object. Any idea, why this is happening.   Hi, I am trying to parse an itunes affiliate xml link purely for practise, using NSXMLParser but the link will not parse. The itunes affiliate xml link is this: http://itunes.apple.com/au/rss/topsongs/limit=50/genre=20/xml?partnerId=2003&TD_PARAM=http%3A%2F%2Fclkuk.tradedoubler.com%2Fclick%3Fp%3D23708%26a%3D1904172%26url%3D. it works perfectly in safari on my mac. The normal itunes link I tried parsing: http://itunes.apple.com/%@/rss/%@/limit=50/genre=20/xml works perfectly with the NSXMLParser. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks in advanced. I want to implement the search functionality in the app. I am using NSRegularExpression class for searching. Please consider the following html code: <temp> I am temp in tempo with temptation </temp> Say for example in the above html code I just want to search for the word temp. Now in above code temp is appearing 5 times - <temp> </temp> temp tempo temptation. I am looking for a regular expression where I can only extract the whole word "temp". I don't want to consider the word temp in the html tags <temp> </temp>. I also don't want the word tempo and temptation to be considered. Thanks in advance

• Can't find .js file in my mainBundle?!

  This is driving me crazy as I cannot figure out what in the world is going on. I load up files form you main bundle all the time, xml files, html files, etc. But, now I am trying to get the contents of a javascript file but it can never find it. I am using: NSData *jsData = [NSData dataWithContentsOfFile:[[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"global" ofType:@"js"]]; if (jsData) { NSLog(@"%@", jsData); } else { NSLog(@"Can't find file"); return; } Even checking the [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"global" ofType:@"js"] string returns null. My globaly.js file is in my Resources folder, the exact location where my other files are location that work totally fine using the above method. Why can't it find my js file?

All I want to do is on specific reranging operations insert a new cell or delet the selected one! Sometimes I get a * Assertion failure in -[_UITableViewUpdateSupport _setupAnimationForReorderingRow], /SourceCache/UIKit/UIKit-963.10/UITableViewSupport.m:295 Attempt to create two animations for cell exception and when I want to reload my data by calling [self.tableView reloadData] I get a * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '* -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (0) beyond bounds (0)' This is quiet anoying! Is there anybody out there who knows how to handle this problem? Please help me!

• Class properties vs NSArray / NSDictionary

  I want a custom class object to hold data and have somehow the feeling that creating about 80 properties is not the best way of doing it. Most of the properties would be bool values, so i'm thinking about creating Arrays (keys / values) or (probably better) a NSDictionary attached to the object for holding the data. Does that make sense or should i stay with the properties? Extra: Are there general pros and cons for the different approaches? And what keywords / concepts do i have to search for to find discussions about that somehow general question? Thanks in advance
