  Hi, i have a problem only with IE: if i try to invoke a JS function from Flash using ExternalInterface i cannot get result if Flash is embedded inside a JQuery dialog; when i make the same thing from a normal html page it runs. How can i invoke ExternalInterface.call to run a function even if flash is inside a dialog? Thanks in advance C.

• A good way in .NET Winforms to have user entered time frame?

  Hi, Does anyone know of a good way to have a user enter an amount of time (hours and minutes) using winforms controls? At the moment I have two numeric up downs, one for time and one for minutes that I then parse to create a timespan. The only other idea I have is a text box that a user can enter a "00:00" time in, and validate the input. Both of these ways seem a bit bad (in UI terms) though. Any ideas? Thanks

  I like knockout.js, the only problem is Visual Studio knows nothing about this framework, so it does not prevent me from silly things like assigning some value to observable property with '=' operator which makes it regular property, and it's not easy to reveal at compile time and often at runtime even. I wonder is there any syntax checker/highlighter for Visual Studio 2010 that helps me prevent faults like this? What about VS 2011? It might be a great help for developers who are new to knockout.   I need to create a feature for a website that will allow a user to enter their email in order to receive a free promotion (which will be emailed immediately) and be added to an announcement list. I haven't done any web programming and am wondering where I should start? Should I just create a database and everytime an email is entered, add the email to the database, then when I want to send out an announcement just write a script that will send an email to every address?
