• Error while creating in app purchase in itunes connect

  I'm having trouble while creating an In App Purchase in iTunes Connect. I have created a test user and am able to see the form for creating the in app purchase. However, when pressing 'Save' I get the following error message: "There was an error saving changes. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact us." This error has persisted for about 24 hours now. Have you encountered this problem, and do you know any way to get around it? Edit 2009-11-10: I just received a response from my email to Apple. It stated that they will start looking into it, and expect to have a solution within three business days. As soon as I hear something new, I'll post it here.

• Generating Entity Keys

  I have run into my first dissapointment with Entity Framework 4. It turns out that SQL CE, when used with EF4, does not support autogenerated primary keys. I get a System.Data.UpdateException from OnjectContext.SaveChanges() with this message: Server-generated keys and server-generated values are not supported by SQL Server Compact. So, now I have to manually generate keys for my entities. Assuming I want to use auto-incremented integer keys, what is the best way to go about generating and keeping track of the keys when using Entity Framework? Thanks for your help.

• Novell Netware 6 and C#

  Hi, I don't know if anyone has any expertise with Novell Netware or not, but I situation where one of my clients is getting a weird error trying to move a file to a netware share. The situation is pretty complicated but I'll try and outline it as best I can. 1) The application is running as a service 2) The file to be moved is a local file in an accessible location (to the service) 3) The file is being moved with FileInfo.MoveTo(). 4) The MoveTo is throwing an IOException and the message is "a device attached to the system is not functioning". I'm at a loss as to explain what might be happening. On a side note, it seems that running a small test program interactively using the same method (FileInfo.MoveTo) to the same location works fine so it seems to be associated with the service itself.   In SubSonic 3.04's SimpleRepository, I cannot seem to perform a Contains operation within a lambda expression. Here's a trivial example: SimpleRepository repo = new SimpleRepository("ConnectionString"); List<int> userIds = new List<int>(); userIds.Add(1); userIds.Add(3); List<User> users = repo.Find<User>(x => userIds.Contains(x.Id)).ToList(); I get the error message: variable 'x' of type 'User' referenced from scope '', but it is not defined Am I missing something here, or does SubSonic not support Contains in lambda expressions? If not, how would this be done?

  I have a WCF Web Service with basicHTTPBinding , the server side the transfer mode is streamedRequest as the client will be sending us large file in the form of memory stream. But on client side when i use transfer mode as streamedRequest its giving me a this errro "The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request" And when i look in to trace information , i see this as the error message Exception: There is a problem with the XML that was received from the network. I am able to send up to 5MB of data using trasfermode as buffered , but it will effect the performance of my web service in the long run , if there are many clients who are trying to access the service in buffered transfer mode. • breaking out of for loop when running a function inside a for loop in R

  I'm embarrassed that I'm asking this question, but here I go: Suppose you have the following function foo. When I'm running a for loop, I'd like it to skip the remainder of foo when foo initially returns the value of 0. However, break doesn't work when it's inside a function. As it's currently written, I get an error message, no loop to break from, jumping to top level. • problem with codeigniter using odbc database driver

  i’ve run into a curious problem with codeigniter's odbc driver. i’m connecting from a linux machine to an MSSQL 2008 machine using FreeTDS. while i get that the ‘num_rows’ function always returns -1, and that is fully a database/driver issue - for some reason when i try to create a -result(), the whole application crashes (error 500, sometimes just a blank page), if i’m lucky, i get an error message informing me that the application died because it tried to allocated 2 terrabytes of memory(!). This happens irregularly, ie: every few refreshes. sometimes it runs fine, sometimes the page returns error 500 and sometimes it gives the memory allocation error - in any case it’s not really something that can be reproduced with percision, and the queries are SUPER simple. ideas anyone?

• How to launch activity from android home screen widget

  Hi all, I am desperately trying to get my head wrapped around how to implement home screen widgets. Right now, I (finally) was able to get a button on my widget respond to a button press setting up an intent filter in the manifest. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to launch an activity when the button is pressed. Basically, here's the code i have: @Override public void onReceive(Context context, Intent intent) { super.onReceive(context, intent); if(intent.getAction().equals("com.bic.search.searchWidget.CLICK")) { Toast.makeText(context, "It works!!", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } } What I really want to do, though, is start a new activity, not display a toast message. • Overwrite the Soap Envelope in Suds python

  Hello, I have a camera and I am trying to connect to it vis suds. I have tried to send raw xml and have found that the only thing stopping the xml suds from working is an incorrect Soap envelope namespace. The envelope namespace is: xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" and I want to rewrite it to: xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" In order to add a namespace in python I try this code: message = Element('Element_name').addPrefix(p='SOAP-ENC', u='www.w3.org/ENC') But when I add the SOAP-ENV to the namespace it doesn't write as it is hardcoded into the suds bindings. Is there a way to overwrite this in suds? Thanks for any help.

I've regisered to recieve the MPMoviePlayerContentPreloadDidFinishNotification notification and MPMoviePlayerPlaybackDidFinishNotification but the first one never fires. Is this bug in Firmware OS 3.0 ? maybe fixed in 3.1 ? or ? Because my divice and similator is 3.0 maybe this is a bug ? My code : ... • Outlook 2003 add-in - Getting COM exception on application shutdown after creating WPF window

  Hi! I'm developing an outlook 2003 add-in. Until now I used only winforms to display one form, but today I've added a WPF window for more complex stuff. DUe to the WPF window, a COM exception is being thrown when outlook shuts down. Does anybody know why? I need to start a separate thread for the WPF window in single apartment state. • Core Text's CTFramesetterSuggestFrameSizeWithConstraints() returns incorrect size everytime

  According to the docs, CTFramesetterSuggestFrameSizeWithConstraints () "determines the frame size needed for a string range". Unfortunately the size returned by this function is never accurate. Here is what I am doing: NSAttributedString *string = [[[NSAttributedString alloc] initWithString:@"lorem ipsum" attributes:nil] autorelease]; CTFramesetterRef framesetter = CTFramesetterCreateWithAttributedString((CFAttributedStringRef) string); CGSize textSize = CTFramesetterSuggestFrameSizeWithConstraints(framesetter, CFRangeMake(0,0), NULL, CGSizeMake(rect.size.width, CGFLOAT_MAX), NULL); The returned size always has the correct width calculated, however the height is always slightly shorter than what is expected. Is this the correct way to use this method? Is there any other way to layout Core Text? Seems I am not the only one to run into problems with this method. • Sub-classing TreeView in C# WinForms for mouse over tool tips

  Ok, this is a weird one. The expected behaviour for a TreeView control is that, if ShowNodeToolTips is set to false, then, when a label for a tree node exceeds the width of the control (or, more accurately, it's right hand edge is past the right hand edge of the client area), then a tooltip is shown above the node showing the full item's text. I'd like to disable that, because the above semantic doesn't always work, depending on what the treeview is contained within. So I have rolled my own, and got the tooltips to work (and line up better than the default one!) - but I would like to be able to disable the 'default' behaviour for situations where it would work natively. So, can anyone point me in the right direction as to which message to post to the TreeView in order to disable that behaviour? I have looked at the windows control reference, but couldn't find anything that looked like it might be the one. Thanks Matt

  All, I have an AJAX request, which makes a JSON request to a server, to get the sync status. The JSON Request and responses are as under: I want to display a JQuery UI progressbar and update the progressbar status, as per the percentage returned in the getStatus JSON response. If the status is "insync", then the progressbar should not appear and a message should be displayed instead. Ex: "Server is in Sync". • SQL Server CE - Internal error: Cannot open the shared memory region

  I have a SQL Server CE database that works fine in dev, but when installed on the client has an issue. The SQL Server CE 3.5 dependencies are copied as part of the deployment. The target machine is a clean Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate image. The message for the exception in the event log is: Internal error: Cannot open the shared memory region. It looks like this is SSCE_M_CANTOPENSHAREDMEMORY and the site says there isn't a connection string value to change this and that these issues are typically not resolvable by the end developers. Has anyone run into this, and if so were you able to resolve this issue?

  hi, i am having problem updating a blob with hibernate. (i am using Hiberante 3.3.1-GA) my model have these getters/setters for hibernate, i.e. internally i deal with byte[] so any getter/setter convert the byte[] to blog. I can create an initial object without problem, but if I try to change the content of the blob, the database column is not updated. Using the standard LaTeX command they work fine, but when I try to use pdfLaTeX, they don't get loaded and I get the (C:\stuff\miktex\tex\generic\babel\magyar.ldf (C:\stuff\miktex\tex\generic\babel\babel.def) Package babel /b/c12/cWarning:/b/c0/c No hyphenation patterns were loaded for (babel) the language `Magyar' (babel) I will use the patterns loaded for \language=0 instead. message. • Elasticsearch Shard stuck in INITIALIZING state

  I stopped one of my elastic search node & as a normal behavior elastic search started relocating my shard on that node to another node. But even after 15 hours it is still stuck in INITIALIZING state. Also that shard is fluctuating between two nodes,for some time it stays on one node then automatically shift to another node & keep on doing that after every few hours. Main issue is it is still in INITIALIZING state after so many hours. I am using version 1.2.1. This shard which is stuck, it is a replica.
