  The type or namespace name 'Resources' does not exist in the namespace 'MyWebProject.Web' (are you missing an assembly reference?) C:\Users\...\MySecondProject\Generated_Code\MyWebProject.Web.g.cs I am having some problems trying to add a second SL client project to my (Ria services) SL Business Application. It has to do with the way the shared Resources files on the Web project are linked to from my new SL client project (the SL client project that was generated by the Business App template works fine). The same problem was brought up in the SL forums but copying the Web folder from my existing SL client doesn't seem to work. How can I add a second SL client project using RIA services to the solution of an existing SL Business Application without these problems over shared resources? Should I avoid the Business Application solution template for solutions with multiple SL clients since it seems to presume only a single client app will be sharing the resource files?

• Getting the record ID just added with mysql prepared statements

  I'm inserting a record using PDO (very similar to mysqli). $addRecord->execute(); To know if the operation worked, I've learned that I can save it to a variable $result that can be used as true false $result = $addRecord->execute(); if ($result){ //add successful } else { //add unsuccessful } What I'd like to do is also get the record id just added. In the table, each record has an auto_incremented field called id. I tried doing this $new_id = $result['id']; but it seems that $result is purely boolean and doesn't actually hold the actual record that was added. Can someone confirm this and how would I then access the record just added? Note that several people may be adding to the same table at the same time, so I think getting just the last one would not be very accurate.

Neither the processor itself nor the context it uses as a parameter have any known hooks to attach an IServiceProvider or equivalent. Any ideas?

However, if instead of doing a select on all (*) if I try to name individual columns to return from the query I get the information I asked for, but rather than being split up into seperate entries in the data table I get a string in the first index of the data table that looked something like: "(0,5,false,Bob Smith,7)" And the data is correct, I would be expecting 0, then 5, then a boolean, then some text etc. But I would (obviously) prefer it to not be returned as just one big string. Anyone know why if I do a select on * I get a datatable as expected, but if I do a select on specific columns I get a data table with one entry that is the string of the values I'm asking for?

• UIScrollView ImageView with pins on top

  To all, I have a UIScrollView which has a UIImageView. I want to show pins on this imageView. When I add pins as subviews of the ImageView everything is great except for when you zoom the scale transform happens on the pins also. I don't want this behavior and want my pins to stay the same. So I choose to add the Pins to another view which sits on top of the ImageView and is also a subview of the UIScrollView. The idea here if you will imagine is to have a layer which hovers over the map and won't scale yet show pins over where I plot them. The pin when added to the layer view don't cale if the ImageView scales. However the issue then bceomes the position of the pins doesn't match the original origin x/y as the ImageView has had a scale transform. Basically this is a custom map of a place with Pins. I am trying to have the Pins float over and not zoom in and out over my ImageView yet remember where I placed them when the zoom happens.   I hate this error message: Msg 8134, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Divide by zero error encountered. What is the best way to write SQL code, so that I will never see this error message again? I mean, I could add a where clause so that my divisor is never zero. Or I could add a case statement, so that there is a special treatment for zero. Is the best way to use a NullIf clause? Is there better way, or how can this be enforced?

• Autoloading Development or Production configs (best practices)

  When programming sites you usually have one set of config files for the development environment and another set for the production server (or one file with both settings). I am assuming all projects should be handled by version control like git or svn. Manual file transfers (like FTP) is wrong on so many levels. How you enable/disable the correct settings (so that your system knows which ones to use) is a problem for me. Each system I work on just kind of jimmy-rigs a solution. Below are the 3 methods I know of and I am hoping that someone can submit a more elegant solutions. 1) File Based The system loads a folder structure based on the URL requested. /site.com /site.fakeTLD /lib index.php For example, if the url is http://site.com then the system loads the production config files located in the site.com folder. However, if I'm working on the site locally I visit http://site.fakeTLD to work on the local copy of the site. To setup this I edit my hosts file and add site.fakeTLD to point to my own computer (127.0.0.1/localhost) and then create a vhost in apache. So now I can work on the codebase locally and then push to the server without any trouble. The problem is that this is susceptible to a "host" injection attack. So someone loading site.com could set the host to site.fakeTLD and then the system would load my development config files instead of production. 2) Config Based The config files contain on section for development - and one for production. The problem is that each time you go to push your changes to the repo you have to edit the file to specify which set of config options should be used. $use = 'production'; //'development'; This leaves the repo open to human error should one of the developers forget to enable the right setting. 3) File System Check Based All the development machines have an extra empty file called "development.txt" or something. Each time the system loads it checks for this file - if found then it knows it is in development mode - if missing then it knows it is in production mode. Since the file is NEVER ADDED to the repo then it will never be pushed (and checked out) on the production machine. However, this just doesn't feel right and causes a slight slow down since all filesystem checks are slow. Is there anyway that the server can auto-detect wither to use the development or production configs?

  I have VS2010 Premium RTM version on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. In the documentation they refer to the Memory 1-4 windows, supposedly under Debug-Windows-Memory. I have "Enable address-level debugging" enabled in VS (Options-Debugging). The problem is that I have no Memory menu item under Debug-Windows during debug of a c++ program. Under Debug-Windows I have only: Breakpoints Parallel Tasks Parallel Stacks Watch - Locals Call Stack Threads Have anyone else experienced this (and hopefully solved it)?

• Loading HTML into <div> with jQuery-ajax

  Hello everyone, I ran into a bit of trouble while trying to load an external HTML page into a div using jQuery-ajax. I had this div: <div id="content"></div> and wanted to fill it with $("#content").load("include/add.html"); It loads the HTML file perfectly, but inside that add.html is a button that should load add2.html(also using .load), but it seems that neither the button nor the datepicker in that file won't work. I'm guessing the .load function is responsible for that? If I have a look in the soap request there is now header tag . Why not? • Mixing inheritance mapping strategies in NHibernate

  I have a rather large inheritance hierarchy in which some of the subclasses add very little and others add quite a bit. I don't want to map the entire hierarchy using either "table per class hierarchy" or "table per subclass" due to the size and complexity of the hierarchy. Ideally I'd like to mix mapping strategies such that portions of the hierarchy where the subclasses add very little are combined into a common table a la "table per class hierarchy" and subclasses that add a lot are broken out into a separate table. Using this approach, I would expect to have 2 or 3 tables with very little wasted space instead of either 1 table with lots of fields that don't apply to most of the objects, or 20+ tables, several of which would have only a couple of columns. In the NHibernate Reference Documentation version 2.1.0, I found section 8.1.4 "Mixing table per class hierarchy with table per subclass". This approach switches strategies partway down the hierarchy by using: ... <subclass ...> <join ...> <property ...> ... </join> </subclass> ... This is great in theory. In practice, though, I found that the schema was too restrictive in what was allowed inside the "join" element for me to be able to accomplish what I needed. Basically, I would like to add all the functionality of another object to the app object. Or should I add only 1 eventListener to the parent ? and call the event through ID ? 2) if I want to scale my item, (a LinkButton with icon image), I noticed that the icon is sometimes resized with delay, so I have a bit of flickering when I trigger the event.   I wanted to add a view to the bottom of my screen. The controller is a UITableViewController, how do I shrink the tableView and add a extra view at the bottom of the tableview? I've tried setting the frame of self.tableView in different places (viewDidLoad, viewWillAppear etc) but nothing happens. The tableView is created by IB and not programtically. I've tried added a footer to my table view but that's not what I want, because the footer actually scrolls up, I want a static non moving View at the bottom of the screen.
