TinyMCE include crashes IE8

I am trying to open a popup onclick using a function call as shown below. <a id="forgotPasswordLink" href="#" onclick="openSupportPage(document.getElementById('forgotPasswordLink').innerHTML);"> Some Text </a> I am creating the HTML for the pop up page on the fly and also including the TinyMCE source file over there. The code is as shown below: <script type="text/javascript">  </script> The support.js file contains the following. function inittextarea() { tinyMCE.init({ elements : "content", mode : "exact", theme : "advanced", readonly : true, setup : function(ed) { ed.onInit.add(function() { tinyMCE.activeEditor.execCommand("mceToggleVisualAid"); }); } }); } The problem arises when the onclick event is fired and the pop up opens up, IE8 stops responding and seems to hang. It is working fine on Chrome, Firefox and Safari. I feel that the issue is because of TinyMCE script inclusion because on commenting the lines that include the tiny_mce.js and the support_page.js, the popup renders with no issues. I am also using the latest TinyMCE release. Please let me know why this is happening and what could be the resolution.

How to fix width of DIV that contains floated elements?

I have a DIV container with several inner DIVs layed out by floating them all left. The inner DIVs may change width on certain events, and the containing DIV adjusts accordingly. I use float:left in the container to keep it shrunk to the width of the inner divs. I use float:left in the inner divs so the layout is clean even when their contents change. The catch is that I want the DIV container width and height to remain constant, UNLESS a particular event causes a change to the inner widths. Conceptually I want to use float on the inners for the layout benefit, but then I want to "fix" them so they don't float around. So if the container is 700px wide, I want it to remain so even if the user narrows the browser window. I'd like the container, and it's internal DIVs to just be clipped by the browser window. I sense this can all be done nicely in CSS, I just can't quite figure out how. I'm not averse to adding another container if necessary... Since the only desired layout changes are event-based, I am also willing to use a bit of JS. But is this necessary? xaml : Retrigger opacity animation on multiple conditions

I have a problem figuring out how datatriggers and multidatatriggers work. I am trying to display a message, and depending on the type of message keep it displayed( + having a background), or having it fade out by a double animation on the opacity property (+ having a transparent background). My xaml view has a game object as datacontext, which has a dependency property of type GameMessage, of which the constructor looks like this: public GameMessage(bool containsMessage, string message, bool canFadeAway) { ContainsMessage = containsMessage; Message = message; CanFadeAway = canFadeAway; } pretty straight forward, I want to display the message when ContainsMessage =equals true, and trigger a fade out animation if canFadeAway equals true. The opcacity remains 0, and messages only get restored again when I have a message of kind true,"msg,false. After the animation, the opacity is 0, and where I would expect the second multidatatrigger to set it back to 8, and then have the animation performed by the Datatrigger, it doesnt. What would be the best way to get this working ?

WPF: Updating visibility of controls not updating the screen

I will preface this by stating that I am new to WPF programming and may be making multiple errors. Any insight that can be provided to help me improve in my skills are greatly appreciated. I am working with a WPF application and am looping through a list of objects that contain properties that describe a document that should be built on the fly and automatically printed. I am attempting to display a small grid in the interface that shows the document being built before it is printed. This serves two purposes: one, it allows the user to see work being done by the application. Two, it renders the items on the screen so that I can then have something to actually print since WPF appears to not be able to load an image for printing dynamicaly without displaying it on the screen. In my code, I am setting the various elements in the grid and setting the visibility to visible. However, the UI is not updating and the printed document doesn't look as intended since the image never shows up on the screen. Basically it builds a visual element for a page, prints an XPS version of it and then builds the next page and prints it, etc. Once all pages have been processed, the job is actually sent to the printer. The only purpose of this application is to let the user print these documents so there is not other task that they can do in the application while the documents print. I thought that putting this task in a background thread would help to update the UI but since I am trying to manipulate items directly on the UI thread it would appear that this option won't work for me. What am I doing wrong here and how can I improve the code so that I can get the behavior that I am trying to achieve?

jQuery UI Dialog problem if modal is set to TRUE

Looking inside page source code I see that the following div is outside forms tag: <div class="ui-widget-overlay" style="z-index: 1001; width: 1280px; height: 65089px;" jQuery1267345392312="20"/> If I set modal to false, the error doesn't happen. I think the problem is that the div working as modal is outside the form. What do you think?

PHP script keeps doing mmap/munmap

It was working great until yesterday, when this script starting being VERY slow (like 50 times slower than before). ListView: convertView / holder getting confused

I'm working with a ListView, trying to get the convertView / referenceHolder optimisation to work properly but it's giving me trouble. (This is the system where you store the R.id.xxx pointers in as a tag for each View to avoid having to call findViewById). I have a ListView populated with simple rows of an ImageView and some text, but the ImageView can be formatted either for portrait-sized images (tall and narrow) or landscape-sized images (short and wide). It's adjusting this formatting for each row which isn't working as I had hoped. The basic system is that to begin with, it inflates the layout for each row and sets the ImageView's settings based on the data, and includes an int denoting the orientation in the tag containing the R.id.xxx values. Then when it starts reusing convertViews, it checks this saved orientation against the orientation of the new row. The theory then is that if the orientation is the same, then the ImageView should already be set up correctly. If it isn't, then it sets the parameters for the ImageView as appropriate and updates the tag. However, I found that it was somehow getting confused; sometimes the tag would get out of sync with the orientation of the ImageView. For example, the tag would still say portrait, but the actual ImageView would still be in landscape layout. I couldn't find a pattern to how or when this happened; it wasn't consistent by orientation, position in the list or speed of scrolling. I can solve the problem by simply removing the check about convertView's orientation and simply always set the ImageView's parameters, but that seems to defeat the purpose of this optimisation. Panning Image Using Javascript in ASP.Net Page Overflows Div

I have an ASP.Net page that contains a <div> with an <img> tag within. The image is large so the <div> is set with a size of 500x500 pixels with overflow set to scroll. I'm attempting to add image panning using a click and drag on the image. However, every time I begin dragging the image escapes the boundary of the element and consumes the entire page. Silverlight: how to modify the width of ListBox Items in response to user input?

I have a simple Silverlight 3 UserControl whose width increases or decreases based on user input. The controls become more wide or more narrow as desired, except for the ListBox items. The ListBox Items grow horizontally to fit their content regardless of HorizontalContentAlignment being set to 'Stretch'. Should I be able to set a property on ListBox.ItemContainerStyle to tell it to widen/narrow with the parent ListBox? There needs to be no horizontal scrolling within this Listbox. Or is there a way to specify the ItemTemplate's StackPanel width that can be modified at runtime? I have bound this to a StaticResource, but do not understand whether I should be able to change the resource value. Can I create and bind to a DependencyProperty of the UserControl itself? WPF: Focus in a Window and UserControl

I'm trying to get a UserControl to tab properly and am baffled. The logical tree looks like this. |-Window -Grid -TabControl -TabItem -StackPanel -MyUserControl |-StackPanel -GroupBox -Grid -ComboBox -Textbox1 -Textbox2 Everything works fine, except when the visibility converter for the ComboBox returns Visibility.Collapsed (don't allow user to change database mode), then when textbox1 is selected, instead of being able to tab through the controls in the UserControl, the focus shifts to a button declared at the bottom of the window. Nothing else apart from the controls displayed has TabIndex or FocusManager properties set. I'm banging my head against a brick wall and I must be missing something. How to use multiple instances of a usercontrol (with jquery) on the same page

Hi All, I've been working on an usercontrol with a jquery timer in it. At first I had the jquery within the usercontrol. But when I add 2 of those controls to my page the second usercontrol isn't showing it's data very well. Now I've put the jquery into the mainpage and the usercontrol only uses the id's of the jquery. JQuery SelectToUISlider Issues

Hopefully this hasn't been asked before as just a slider question, but I couldn't find an answer when already browsing questions. So, here goes: I have a SelectToUISlider (http://www.filamentgroup.com/lab/update_jquery_ui_slider_from_a_select_element_now_with_aria_support/) which is basically a modified JQuery UI Slider, and I'm using a range value. So, I start with one handle at 60, and another at 100 (scale from 0 to 100). What I want to do is click a radio button so that the 100 changes to a 0, and be able to change back to 100. I have been unsuccessful at changing it via JQuery selectors/javascript. However, when changing the selects to move the handles, this works, but the range appears not to follow if the second handle (at 100) moves to 0 behind the first handle (at 60). I'm thinking I might have to destroy the slider and rebuild it with the second handle (that starts as 100) become the first handle at 0 in this scenario (although I've tried destroying it and it doesn't seem to respond to that either.) css & horizontal scrolling

One of my most favorite websites is that of the Oxford Hotel in Romania. I like the simplicity of the site and how it flows. I am trying to create a similar scrolling effect using jquery and I've been somewhat successful to a point. My trouble is with css... I am not a wizard in that department. Anyway,...my questions! 1. How can I first make sure that the ".box" class will be in the center of the page when the corresponding link is clicked? Right now it positions itself on the left. 2. Then, how can I tweak this code so that the user only can see the width of the screen and not the browser scroller/the rest of my ".box" divs? Refer to the oxford link if you need to see an example of what I'd like to achieve. Help to solve "Robbery Problem"

Hello, Can anybody help me with this problem in C or Java? The problem is taken from here: http://acm.pku.edu.cn/JudgeOnline/problem?id=1104 Inspector Robstop is very angry. Last night, a bank has been robbed and the robber has not been caught. And this happened already for the third time this year, even though he did everything in his power to stop the robber: as quickly as possible, all roads leading out of the city were blocked, making it impossible for the robber to escape. Then, the inspector asked all the people in the city to watch out for the robber, but the only messages he got were of the form "We don't see him." But this time, he has had enough! Inspector Robstop decides to analyze how the robber could have escaped. To do that, he asks you to write a program which takes all the information the inspector could get about the robber in order to find out where the robber has been at which time. Coincidentally, the city in which the bank was robbed has a rectangular shape. The roads leaving the city are blocked for a certain period of time t, and during that time, several observations of the form "The robber isn't in the rectangle Ri at time ti" are reported. Assuming that the robber can move at most one unit per time step, your program must try to find the exact position of the robber at each time step. Input The input contains the description of several robberies. The first line of each description consists of three numbers W, H, t (1 <= W,H,t <= 100) where W is the width, H the height of the city and t is the time during which the city is locked. The next contains a single integer n (0 <= n <= 100), the number of messages the inspector received. The next n lines (one for each of the messages) consist of five integers ti, Li, Ti, Ri, Bi each. The integer ti is the time at which the observation has been made (1 <= ti <= t), and Li, Ti, Ri, Bi are the left, top, right and bottom respectively of the (rectangular) area which has been observed. (1 <= Li <= Ri <= W, 1 <= Ti <= Bi <= H; the point (1, 1) is the upper left hand corner, and (W, H) is the lower right hand corner of the city.) The messages mean that the robber was not in the given rectangle at time ti. The input is terminated by a test case starting with W = H = t = 0. This case should not be processed. Output For each robbery, first output the line "Robbery #k:", where k is the number of the robbery. Then, there are three possibilities: If it is impossible that the robber is still in the city considering the messages, output the line "The robber has escaped." In all other cases, assume that the robber really is in the city. Output one line of the form "Time step : The robber has been at x,y." for each time step, in which the exact location can be deduced. Getting Custom NSCell with NSButtonCell instance to handle mouse click/mouse events

OK I'm really stumped on this one. I want to make a checkbox with a NSTextFieldCell combined together. It's important that the checkbox goes ON if the mouse hits the box, NOT the text. I've accomplished this, more or less, but the issue is receiving the mouse event because I click one checkbox in a row, but ALL of them turn to NSOnState. I will show what I've done and my various failed attempts in order to get this to work. I am creating gridviews using C# and ASP.net ... $.noConflict() not working with mootools slide show. Need help !

I am working on a site http://tapasya.co.in where i just impemented mootools slideshow. But I noticed that menubar that i was using stopped working, it was supposed to drop horizontaly but it is not being displayed now. I have used jquery for it. Please see the source of the web page. What can be the problem ? Mootools conflicting with javascript or some other problem. JavaScript source file not loading in IE8 Popup

I have an issue where the JavaScript source file is loading in popup for IE6, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera. But the same source file is not loading up in IE8. As a result of this the HTML is not being replaced in the Popup and I am getting an error in IE8 popup saying tinyMCE is not defined I have referred to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2949234/formatting-this-javascript-line and solved issue on all browsers except IE8. IE8 Crashes Strangely on JavaScript Popup

Hi, I am facing a strange issue after the popup is created onclick. The popup opens up but hangs immediately on IE8 (works fine on all the other browsers including IE6). But on adding the alertbox as show in the JavaScript code, the popup works fine. I am using **https** and not **http** and i feel popup is not able to load the JS file because of SSL. jQuery dynamic field classes not being assigned as desired.

Hello, I'm working on a fancy login page with 4 unique states attributed through classes for each field (normal, focus, active-on, active-off). Normal is the default style. Focus is the focus style when nothing is typed. Active-on is the focus style when something has been typed. Active-off is for field that have user text in them, but are not focused right now. Mimicking a HBox / VBox with CSS

I'm an old school tables guy, and am pretty baffled when it comes to modern HTML. I'm trying to something as simple as vertical / horizontal layouts (i.e. Flex's hbox/vbox), but am having major difficulty replicating them. When using display:inline, I cannot set a percentage width -- it only takes explicit widths. When using float:left, settings 100% percentage width causes it to really be 100% and pushes the next div down. Animated background image in a hidden <div> doesn't load or loads not animated

Hello, I have spent the whole day trying to make a script which on "submit" hides the form and shows hidden with animated progress bar. The problem is that Internet Explorer doesn't show animated gif images in hidden divs. The images are static. I visited many websites and found a script which uses: document.getElementById(id).style.backgroundImage = 'url(/images/load.gif)'; Finally, my script works in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera but... Google Chrome doesn't display the image at all. I see only div text. After many tests I discovered the following: the only way to see the background image in Google Chrome is to include the same image somewhere in the page (outside of hidden div) with 1px dimensions: <img src="/images/load.gif" width="1" heigh="1" /> This did the trick but... after this dirty solution Microsoft Explorer for some reason shows the image as static again. So, my question is: is there any way how to force Gogle Chrome to show the image? Thanks.
