How to prevent jQuery FancyBox from closing immediately after submit?

Hi! I'm loading an inline registration form in a FancyBox from jQuery. However after submitting the form, the box immediately closes while there is some feedback that I want to show the user in the FancyBox itself. This feedback is generated on the server side and is printed in the FancyBox. How can I make the box only closing when their is no feedback anymore? I was thinking about using ajax to just refresh the FancyBox itself and not the whole page after refreshing. But I just can't figure out how this ajax $.ajax({type, cache, url, data, success}); works... Also it seems like there's no reaction from the 'submit bind' in the javascript. I hope someone can help me with this problem. I paste my code below. If any questions, plz ask.. Thx in advance! Partial Trust in WPF 4

I've started a new project in WPF 4 (.NET 4) and trying to see if I can run it in xbap mode. I need to run the application in Full Trust with the new mode made available in .NET 4 which asks the end user if the full trust application should be run. I've set the "Security" mode to "Full Trust" application, and it builds just fine. When I run it, an exception is thrown and IE error message shows the following error. Any ways around it?? ASP.NET MVC2 Model Validation Fails with Non-US Date Format

I have a small MVC2 app that displays in two cultures: en-US and es-MX. One portion contains a user input for a date that is pre-populated with the current date in the Model. When using en-US, the date field is displayed as MM/dd/yyyy and can be changed using the same format without causing any validation errors. When using es-MX, the date field is displayed as dd/MM/yyyy, but when the date is edited in this format, the server-side validation fails with the message: The value '17/05/1991' is not valid for The Date. One of the first things that jumps out at me about that message is that it is not localized. Both the message itself (which I do not think I can control) and the Display Name of the field (which I can control and is localized in my code). Should be displaying in a localized format. I have tried stepping through the code to see exactly where the validation is failing, but it seems to be happening inside some of the compiled MVC or DataAnnotations code that I cannot see. 403 error after adding javascript to masterpage for sharepoint.

I am attempting to add highslide-with-html.js from http://highslide.com/ to my masterpage. I am receiving a 403 forbidden error when I use the provided masterpage. I have placed it in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1033. Test javascript files such as pirate.js which consists solely of alert("Arr!"); have loaded from the same directory. I have provided the code for the masterpage. jquery ui autocomplete positioning wrong

using jquery ui 1.8 trying autocomplete Everything works apart from that the ui-menu isn't positioned under my input element, but rather in the top left corner. Has anyone come across this problem? How to write a test for accounts controller for forms authenticate

Trying to figure out how to adequately test my accounts controller. I am having problem testing the successful logon scenario. Issue 1) Am I missing any other tests.(I am testing the model validation attributes separately) Issue 2) Put_ReturnsOverviewRedirectToRouteResultIfLogonSuccessAndNoReturnUrlGiven() and Put_ReturnsRedirectResultIfLogonSuccessAndReturnUrlGiven() test are not passing. I have narrowed it down to the line where i am calling _membership.validateuser(). FBML is not rendered in Facebook App in iframe - please help

I'm developing an Facebook Application in PHP. It's loaded as an iframe and not as FBML. The normal interaction with Facebook works. Comments show up in database, but only show up on my index page after a refresh.

Hi, I have AJAX, PHP, jquery, and mySQL in this very simple website I'm trying to make. All there is is a text area that sends data to the database and uses ajax\jquery to display that data onto the index page. For some reason though, I press submit and the data goes to the database, but I have to refresh the page myself to see that data on the page. I'm assuming that the problem has to do with my AJAX JQuery or even some mistake in the index. Also, when I type the text into the text area and press submit, the text remains in the textarea until I refresh the page. Haha, sorry if this is such a noob question.. I'm trying to learn. Act on click of a button on the Nav Bar for moreNavigationController -- Can't pushviewcontroller

Okay, here is my issue: My app has a display of categories in the tab bar at the bottom of the iPhoneOS screen. This only allows 5 categories before it presents the MORE button. I have over 25 (please do not answer this by saying: "Rethink your application...etc" -- that was rudely said before. They are food, drink, etc categories and cannot be changed). I want to allow the user to put their favorites on the home page. The Apple moreNavigationController editing system only allows 20 tab bar items to be rearranged due to space constraints on the editing page. This is not enough so i need to implement my own Editing screen. I set the rightBarButtonItem to nil and created my own. Using NSLog, i can see the "click" happens when clicking the EDIT button, but I cannot push using pushViewController. Nothing happens. I think it has something to do with the navigationController I am addressing...but i am not sure. ps: This all happens in my App Delegate which DOES act as both UITabBarControllerDelegate & UINavigationControllerDelegate. In the edit function if i just do this: - (void) editTabBar:(id)sender { self.tabBarController.selectedIndex = 0; } It DOES take me home (to tabbarcontroller 0) BUT doing this: - (void) editTabBar:(id)sender { [self.navigationController popToRootViewControllerAnimated:YES]; } does not work. Does the moreNavigationController have some special quality that screws with the rest of the system?

Application stopped unexpectedly at launch

Missing Password check

Struts2 Populating Checkbox from Arraylist of Objects

I'm sure that I'm doing something dumb but I've been going craze over the last couple of days trying to get my checkboxes filled out inside an iterator that goes over an arraylist of object. Here is my object: public class EmailObject { int emailId; String emailAddress; public int getEmailId() { return emailId; } public void setEmailId(int emailId) { this.emailId = emailId; } public String getEmailAddress() { return emailAddress; } public void setEmailAddress(String emailAddress) { this.emailAddress = emailAddress; } } In my action class, I create an arraylist of the above EmailObjects. On my jsp page, I can get checkboxes through a checkboxlist (but this isn't good for me because I want it to be vertical and don't want to mess with the struts styles) <s:checkboxlist name="selectedEmails" list="userEmails" listValue="emailAddress" listKey="emailId" /> I can also iterate over the arraylist userEmails and display the values: <s:iterator value="userEmails" var="thisEmailData"> <s:property value="emailId"/> <s:property value="emailAddress"/> </s:iterator> But I can't get it to display the emailId when iterating over the arraylist userEmails. ASP.NET Membership API not working on Win2008 server/IIS7

I have a very odd problem. I have a web app that uses the .NET Membership API to provide login functionality. This works fine on my local dev machine, using WebDev 4.0 server. I'm using .NET 4.0 with some URL Rewriting, but not on the pages where login is required. I have a Windows Server 2008 with IIS7 However, the Membership API seemingly does not work on the server. I have set up remote debugging and the LoginUser.LoggedIn event of the LoginUser control gets fired okay, but the MembershipUser is null. I get no answer about the username/password being invalid so it seems to be recognising it. If I enter an invalid username/password, I get an invalid username/password response. Enteprise Library Exception Handling for WCF Fault Contracts - CLIENT SIDE

I have a Windows Service which communicates with WCF services. The WCF services are all fault shielded and generate custom UserFaultContracts and ServiceFaultContracts. No problems there. In the Windows Service I am using EntLib for exception handling and logging. Preloading Winforms using a Stack and Hidden Form

I am currently working on a project where we have a couple very control heavy user controls that are being used inside a MDI Controller. This is a Line of Business app and it is very data driven. The problem that we were facing was the aforementioned controls would load very very slowly, we dipped our toes into the waters of multi-threading for the control loading but that was not a solution for a plethora of reasons. Our solution to increasing the performance of the controls ended up being to 'pre-load' the forms onto a hidden window, create a stack of the existing forms, and pop off of the stack as the user requested a form. Now the current issue that I'm seeing that will arise as we push this 'fix' out to our testers, and the ultimately our users is this: Currently the 'hidden' window that contains the preloaded forms is visible in task manager, and can be shut down thus causing all of the controls to be lost. Then you have to create them on the fly losing the performance increase. Secondly, when the user uses up the stack we lose the performance increase (current solution to this is discussed below). For the first problem, is there a way to hide this window from task manager, perhaps by creating a parent form that encapsulates both the main form for the program and the hidden form? Our current solution to the second problem is to have an inactivity timer that when it fires checks the stacks for the forms, and loads a new form onto the stack if it isn't full. However this still has the potential of causing a hang in the UI while it creates the forms. A possible solutions for this would be to put 'used' forms back onto the stack, but I feel like there may be a better way. EDIT: For control design clarification From the comments I have realized there is a lack of clarity on what exactly the control is doing. Here is a detailed explanation of one of the controls. I have defined for this control loading time as the time it takes from when a user performs an action that would open a control, until the time a control is accessible to be edited. The control is for entering Prescriptions for a patient in the system, it has about 5 tabbed groups with a total of about 180 controls. The user selects to open a new Prescription control from inside the main program, this control is loaded into the MDI Child area of the Main Form (which is a DevExpress Ribbon Control). From the time the user clicks New (or loads an existing record) until the control is visible. The list of actions that happens in the program is this: The stack is checked for the existence of a control. If the control exists it is popped off of the stack. The control is rendered on screen. This is what takes 2 seconds The control then is populated with a blank object, or with existing data. The control is ready to use. The average percentage of loading time, across about 10 different machines, with different hardware the control rendering takes about 85 - 95 percent of the control loading time. Without using the stack the control takes about 2 seconds to load, with the stack it takes about .8 seconds, this second time is acceptable. I have looked at Henry's link and I had previously already implemented the applicable suggestions. Again I re-iterate my question as What is the best method to move controls to and from the stack with as little UI interruption as possible?

The table are innodb and I tried to drop all tables and recreate it the problem remains... EDIT : Well I think I have a start of answer... I change the log level of hibernate to DEBUG and before it crash I have the following log insert into Semspace (name, [...]) values (?, [...]) So it looks like it does not try to insert the idCorpus and as it is not null it uses the default value "0" which does not refers to an existing entry in Corpus table...

Jquery dependent dropdown doesn't work in IE

I have a 3 dropdowns: countries, states, and cities. States and cities are dependent of the previous form and loaded via AJAX. In Firefox and Chrome everything is ok, but in IE (8 in my case) when I select a state, the cities dropdown isn't loaded. It is like IE don't detect the change. It is not a load problem, because I have tested with a simple alert box. Any help will be really appreciated. Saving UIImagePickerController images to Core Data without crashing

I have been trying to minimize my memory footprint with UIImagePickerController, but I'm starting to think that the memory problems I am having are resulting from poor memory management, instead of a particular way to handle the UIImagePickerController object. My workflow is this: The "Edit Image" button is clicked, which presents a UIActionSheet. This action sheet allows you to delete, take a picture, choose from the library, or cancel. It leads me to believe that I am not getting that full image out of memory the correct way. What am I missing here? And on a second note, does the Camera source use significantly more memory than the Photo Albums source? I tend to get more crashes when using the camera.

HttpWebRequest: How to find a postal code at Canada Post through a WebRequest with x-www-form-enclos

I'm currently writing some tests so that I may improve my skills with the Internet interaction through Windows Forms. One of those tests is to find a postal code which should be returned by Canada Post website. My default URL setting is set to: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/fpc/personal/findByCity?execution=e4s1 The required form fields are: streetNumber, streetName, city, province The contentType is "application/x-www-form-enclosed" EDIT: Please consider the value "application/x-www-form-encoded" instead of point 3 value as the contentType. (Thanks EricLaw-MSFT!) The result I get is not the result expected. I get the HTML source code of the page where I could manually enter the information to find the postal code, but not the HTML source code with the found postal code. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong? Shall I consider going the XML way? Is it first of all possible to search on Canada Post anonymously?
