TO 'media'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'media' WITH GRANT OPTION; But I don't know how to create this database. I would like to do it with my terminal, no other graphics interfaces. Thanks

    I have a table defined by the following SQL: CREATE TABLE test ( id integer PRIMARY KEY NOT NULL UNIQUE, status text NOT NULL, enddate date, /* Checks */ CHECK (status IN ("Current", "Complete")) ); I'd like to add a constraint that requires enddate to be non-null if the status is "Complete". Is this possible? I am using SQLite v3.6.16.

    I'm developing a form generator, and wondering if it would be bad mojo to store JSON in an SQL database? I want to keep my database & tables simple, so I was going to have `pKey, formTitle, formJSON` on a table, and then store {["firstName":{"required":"true","type":"text"},"lastName":{"required":"true","type":"text"}} in formJSON. would this slow down the DB server too much to set live? Any input is appreciated.

    I have a SQL CLR dll I want to deploy, but have found you can embed the byte stream/varbinary_literal/ varbinary_expression/assembly bits into a text file to get around the messy hassle of packaging a DLL and making sure it's accessible for the CREATE ASSEMBLY command. But what I have yet to find is how to get that byte stream/varbinary_literal/ varbinary_expression/assembly bits value. I haven't found any consistent terminology, and what I keep finding in using Load(). Help?

I also create a lot of web services which are consumed via AJAX applications. Do these technologies really help you in speeding up development times? Do you still have to build the database or object code first?

    I am running the following SQL against an MDB file, a copy of which is located here: http://hotfile.com/dl/40641614/2353dfc/test.mdb.html (perfectly clean file, no macros or viruses) SELECT datediff("d", MAX(invoice.date), Now) As Date_Diff , MAX(invoice.date) AS max_invoice_date , customer.number AS customer_number FROM invoice INNER JOIN customer ON invoice.customer_number = customer.number GROUP BY customer.number If the the following was added: HAVING datediff("d", MAX(invoice.date), Now) > 365 would this simply exclude rows with Date_Diff <= 365? What should be the effect of the HAVING clause here?

    Hi, I've got an Access application with an update query with the following syntax: UPDATE TABLE1, TABLE2 SET TABLE2.VALUE1 = TABLE1.VALUE1, TABLE2.VALUE2 = TABLE1.VALUE2, TABLE2.VALUE3 = TABLE1.VALUE3, TABLE2.VALUE4 = TABLE1.VALUE4 The query is working but I do not understand what's going on here.     When you create a job schedule in SSRS 2008, the server creates a SQL Server Agent job with a GUID name. Is there a script that can be run to rename the shared job schedule in the ReportServer database to another name? I would like to do this to make it easier to organize subscriptions in the Job Activity Monitor since I have a very large number of subscriptions mixed in with other jobs on my database server.
