  • How to trigger saved password autofill in browsers?

    - by Aleksander Kmetec
I have a web application written in pure JavaScript (no pre-generated HTML except for the document which loads all the JS files). This app contains a login form which is created dynamically when the document.ready event event is triggered. I trick the browser into displaying the "Remember password?" dialog by posting the login form into a hidden iframe before logging in using ajax (in Firefox the password appears on the saved password list, so this part obviously works) but saved passwords never get filled in after the login screen is loaded again at a later time. The same thing happens in Firefox and Safari. Is there something I can do or some function I can call to trigger autofill? UPDATE: autofill works in Safari on initial page load, but not when user logs out and the login form is recreated without a page reload. In Firefox it never works.

  • Location of New Window after old window closed

    - by John Brayton
I have an app that allows multiple windows. I have a strange bug where, if I repeatedly open and close windows, new windows are positioned lower and lower on the screen. I would expect this if I were keeping the windows open, but it seems that the OS X window tiling mechanism is unaware of when my windows are closing. Potentially relevant notes: I am using garbage collection. This is not a document-based app. When I close a window, the corresponding menu item is removed from the "Window" menu. Any hints as to what I might be doing wrong would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Is is possible to derive currency symbol from currency code?

    - by Dave Hunt
    My iPhone app formats an NSDecimalNumber as a currency using setCurrencyCode, however another screen displays just the currency symbol. Rather than storing both the currency code and symbol, is it possible to derive the symbol from the code? I thought the following might work, but it just returns the symbol as $: currencyCode = [dictPrices valueForKey:@"currencyCode"]; NSNumberFormatter *numberFormatter = [[[NSNumberFormatter alloc] init] autorelease]; [numberFormatter setFormatterBehavior:NSNumberFormatterBehavior10_4]; [numberFormatter setCurrencyCode:currencyCode]; [numberFormatter setNumberStyle:NSNumberFormatterCurrencyStyle]; NSString *currencySymbol = [numberFormatter currencySymbol];

  • how to load an image to a grid using pygame, instead of just using a fill color?

    - by yao jiang
I am trying to create a "map of a city" using pygame. I want to be able to put images of buildings in specific grid coords rather than just filling them in with a color. This is how I am creating this map grid: def clear(): for r in range(rows): for c in range(rows): if r%3 == 1 and c%3 == 1: color = brown; grid[r][c] = 1; else: color = white; grid[r][c] = 0; pygame.draw.rect(screen, color, [(margin+width)*c+margin, (margin+height)*r+margin, width, height]) pygame.display.flip(); Now how do I put images of buildings in those brown colored grids at those specific locations? I've tried some of the samples online but can't seem to get them to work. Any help is appreciated. If anyone have a good source for free sprites that I can use for pygame, please let me know. Thanks!

  • How do I stop displaying a J2ME MIDP application, just before destroying it?

    - by Paul Marshall
I have a J2ME application where the user has the option to dial a phone number from within the application. This should be the last thing the user does with the app, so it should stop displaying anything. My current code: public void callAndExit() { // use a platform-specific request to dial MyMidletThingummy.getInstance().platformRequest( "tel:" + number ); notifyDestroyed(); } The call works just fine, uses the phone's native way of calling, etc. The problem is that, just after the call completes (whenever the user hangs up), my application displays for a split second before being destroyed. Is there something I can do so that I stop displaying the MIDlet (and, say, show the phone's home screen or whatever else it would rather display), then dial out?

  • Multiple .obj Models in THREE.js and detecting clicked objects

    - by ZedBee
I have been following along this example to load .obj Model using three.js. Since I needed more than one model to load so I tried this loader.addEventListener( 'load', function ( event ) { var object = event.content; object.position.y = - 80; scene.add( object ); }); loader.load( 'obj/model1.obj' ); loader.load( 'obj/model2.obj' ); First: I don't know whether this is the right approach or not since I searched but didn't find any tutorial loading more than one .obj models. Second: I want to be able to click different models on the screen. I tried this which doest not seem to work for me. Any suggestions on this?

  • Give style attributes to sub-elements inside a <style> tag?

    - by Giffyguy
My <style> for thumbnails currently looks like this: <style type="text/css"> img.TN { width: 100%; margin-bottom: 5.294%; cursor: pointer; } </style> This is annoying, because I have to apply this style to every single thumbnail image individually, when there could be any number of them on the screen at any given time. All of the thumbnails are inside a single <div> that groups them together, and I'd like to apply a single style to the <div> that will push the attributes I need down to all of the the <img> elements nested inside, regardless how many thumbnails there are. I'm using ASP.NET 2.0, and CSS 2.0 Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

  • Displaying images in a console application?!

    - by Stefan Kendall
I have a console application which screen scrapes some data, and now I need to do image comparisons. If the images are different, I want to show the images to the user. What's the best way to display two images during the execution of a console application? I'm assuming I would use some sort of inter-process communication to send information back and forth, but I'm not sure how exactly I would go about doing that in a good fashion. Also, I'd rather NOT store the images to files if possible. There's no reason to persist the data, and if the console application terminates unexpectedly, it's better if I don't have any dirt left on the file system. Does anyone have any thoughts on how best to accomplish this?

  • Design view disappeared from Interface Builder

    - by skywalker168
All of a sudden, the visual design window disappeared from my Interface Builder. It is a regular UIView, has some UIImageView, UILabel, and UIButtons on it. When I open IB, I can see the document window (with File's Owner, First Responder and View in it), Library and Inspector, but the visual design window disappeared. Double click on "View" in the document window doesn't do anything. If I go to List mode, I can see all the components on the view, but just can no longer find the visual design window. All other XIB can open just fine, only this XIB lost its design window. First I thought maybe it was hidden somewhere on the screen. Tried all kinds of things, even rebooting the computer, but nothing helped. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance! By the way, I'm running SDK 3.2 Beta 3.

  • UIImagePickerController camera preview is portrait in landscape app

    - by Jane Sales
In my landscape-only iPhone application, I launch a UIImagePickerController to take a photo, but the live image displayed from the camera is in portrait orientation, with blank space around it. The image is rotated. Once the camera button is pressed, the preview is very messy, with most of the preview off screen, and views not correctly aligned. Apple has acknowledged that this is defect, and is working on it. My question is, does anyone have a work-around (legal or illegal) that would allow me to get this working now. I wouldn't release to the App Store with an illegal fix, but I would have a much better app for user testing - currently the camera is pretty much unusable in landscape. I will attach a simple test project and images if I can. Edit - just to clarify, the image I get is correctly landscape. I want the camera & preview UIs to look right!

  • Can't get access to PHPmyAdmin after setting a root password and using Instant Rails

    - by Derek
Wanted to get started with Ruby on Rails so I installed instant rails and set up a mysql password. Problem is now I can't get access to phpmyadmin. From the rails control panel, when I go to configure database (via PhpMyadmin) it opens up phpmyadmin with the message Error MySQL said: Documentation #1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) When I used to use XAMPP after setting a password instead of taking me directly within phpmyadmin (as it did without a password) it took me to the login screen instead. With instant rails that's not the case. Anyone had this problem when they first set a mysql password and using the instant rails package?

  • NSIS Installer - Displaying different licences

    - by Wysawyg
Heya, I'm trying to modify an existing NSIS install script to allow for different licence files to be presented to the user depending on whether they are a new or existing user. I have pre-existing code which detects an existing install in the .onInit section. However I'm running into bumps trying to use the NSIS provided licence screen e.g. !InsertMacro MUI_PAGE_LICENSE Content\Licence.rtf I would like to be able to choose between Licence and Licence2.rtf (though they'll be renamed something representative in the final version). I've tried using selectable sections calling functions which nest the !insertmacro but that doesn't work because it needs to be in the base level of the script. I can't change the parameter to be runtime definable because it needs to know what the file is at compile time to build it into the installer. I know I can roll my own custom page called from a function and do it that way but I was wondering if anyone had got the NSIS installer working with using the MUI_PAGE_LICENSE and different licences. Thanks

  • Suggestions for debugging print stylesheets?

I've recently been working on a print stylesheet for a website, and I realized that I was at a loss for effective ways to tweak it. I've been trying to fix a bug in the Rails app I'm developing, and I keep getting a blank screen with no errors. I haven't found anything helpful in development.log, either (though it does show queries being run and such). Finally, I started to wonder if it's somehow set not to show errors anymore. I tried commenting out a necessary route, and sure enough, I got a blank page instead of the error and stack trace I expected. What might cause this? (I wondered if maybe I'm accidentally running production mode and errors aren't supposed to show then, but development.log is being appended, and if I open script/console and echo ENV['RAILS_ENV'], it says development.)

  • HTML5 Cache manifest file itself is not cached, and called at each resource load

    - by Mic
We have a web app that runs on the iPhone. The manifest file is ok, and the resources(html, css, js) are cached correctly. The page sits in the home screen. The trouble is, when the page loads a resource from the cache, there is as well a GET call to the server to read the Cache Manifest file. The server is configured to send the correct header (max-age=31536000; public, etc...) and caches well all other files except the cache manifest itself. Is this a normal behavior? It looks there is a slight lag, because of that call, for each resource load.Any idea, if these multiple calls can get a status 304 or even better avoided?

  • What is the life cycle of the XNA GraphicsDevice on the Xbox 360?

    - by David Brown
I'm working on an XNA project that doesn't use the built-in Game class, mostly for learning purposes (so I can mess with different game loop types, etc). It's only designed for the Xbox 360, because the hardware is consistent and I don't have to worry about compatibility among different PC hardware configurations. So far, it's working well and I can clear the screen to a color, but I'd like to make sure I handle the GraphicsDevice correctly before moving on. What exactly is the life cycle for the GraphicsDevice on the Xbox 360? Is it ever lost or reset automatically? I know that on Windows, it's lost when the window loses focus, but the Xbox obviously doesn't manage focus. It appears to even keep the graphics device when the Guide pops up, which is the closest thing I can find to "losing focus" on the Xbox. I'd like to think it's simply a matter of "fire and forget," which would make a lot of other things much easier (only needing to load content once, for instance). But I want to make sure.

  • Full size image in ImageView

    - by Kilnr
Hi, I'm trying to draw an image in an ImageView, but i want it to be unscaled, with scrollbars as necessary. How can I accomplish this? Right now I just have a drawable set as the android:src of the ImageView in the XML. This autoscales the image to fit the screen width. I read that this might be because of the compatibility mode (developing for 1.5, testing on 2.1), but then I added <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="4" /> to my manifest, and nothing changed. Any clues?

  • contentoffset during flick gesture

    - by Michael Xu
Hi all, Does anyone else notice that the contentOffset of UIScrollView doesnt update during a flick gesture? It only updates after the flick gesture has totally completed, when the flick gesture is finished. After the finger has left the screen, the scrollview keeps moving, in the decelerating phase. but this isnt reflected in the contentOffset of the UIScrollView. Is there a way to track where the contentOffset is during the decelerating part of the flick gesture? I have an OpenGL layer on top, and i want it to move with the scrollView. Can't seem to get the right info out of the scrollview though... Thoughts? thanks, michael

  • NSDateFormatterFullStyle without year (NSDateFormatter)

    - by Brian Halpin
Using the user's currentLocale from the device, I want to have a date format exactly like the one generated for NSDateFormatterFullStyle minus the year: [dateFormatter setDateStyle:NSDateFormatterFullStyle]; Friday, 21 September (2012) I've noticed the iPhone app, Living Earth does this and works for all locales, so does the iPhone lock screen. A custom formatter such as, [dateFormatter setDateFormat:@"EEEE, MMMM"]; won't change with localisation. Can anyone shed some light on how to accomplish this? None of the options for date style seem to do this. Thanks

  • VS2010 method comment block pretty format.

    - by camelCase
I have just installed the lastest RC of VS2010, which for me represents a shift from VS2008. A new comment formatting feature that I was looking forward to appears to be missing. About 6 months ago I read a Scott Gu blog post that mentioned a new VS2010 feature that would format /// style method comment blocks into more readable formatted regions inline with other code. The Scott Gu blog did not provide a screen shot but I was expecting the VS2010 editor to remove the XML tags from the /// method comment block and render just the essential text comment. Was this feature pulled during the Beta, or is there an option switch urking somewhere?

  • How to check if two System.Drawing.Color structures represent the same color in 16 bit color depth?

    - by David
How can I check if two System.Drawing.Color structures represent the same color in 16 bit color depth (or generally based on the value of Screen.PrimaryScreen.BitsPerPixel)? Let's say I set Form.TransparencyKey to Value1 (of Color type), I want to check that when the user selects a new background color for the form (Value2), I don't set the entire form transparent. On 32bit color depth screens I simply compare the two values: if (Value1 == Value2) However, this does not work on 16bit color depth screens, as more Color values for the Value2 would represent the same actual 16bit color as Value1, as I found out the hard way.

  • Facebook - Publish Checkins using Graph API

    - by Zany
    I'm trying to publish Checkin using Facebook Graph API. I've gone through Facebook API documentation (checkins) and also have the publish_checkins permission. However, my checkin is not getting published. May I know is there anything wrong or am I missing anything else? Thank you for your time :) fbmain.php $user = $facebook->getUser(); $access_token = $facebook->getAccessToken(); // Session based API call if ($user) { try { $me = $facebook->api('/me'); if($me) { $_SESSION['fbID'] = $me['id']; $uid = $me['id']; } } catch (FacebookApiException $e) { error_log($e); } } else { echo "<script type='text/javascript'>top.location.href='$loginUrl';</script>"; exit; } $loginUrl = $facebook->getLoginUrl( array( 'redirect_uri' => $redirect_url, 'scope' => status_update, publish_stream, publish_checkins, user_checkins, user_location, user_status' ) ); main.php (Updated: 18/6/2012 11.12pm) <?php include_once "fbmain.php"; if (!isset($_POST['latitude']) && !isset($_POST['longitude'])) { ?> <html> <head> //ajax POST of latitude and longitude </head> <body> <script type="text/javascript"> window.fbAsyncInit = function() { FB.init({ appId: '<?php echo $facebook->getAppID() ?>', cookie: true, xfbml: true, oauth: true, frictionlessRequests: true }); FB.Canvas.setAutoGrow(); }; (function() { var e = document.createElement('script'); e.async = true; e.src = document.location.protocol + '//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js'; document.getElementById('fb-root').appendChild(e); }()); </script> ... <input type="button" value="Check In!" onclick="checkin(<?=$facebook?>);"/></span> </body> </html> <?php } else { print_r($_POST['latitude']); print_r($_POST['longitude']); ?> <script type="text/javascript"> // not using latitude and longitude to test function checkin($fb) { try { $tryCatch = $facebook->api('/'.$_SESSION['fbID'].'/checkins', 'POST', array( 'access_token' => $fb->getAccessToken(), //corrected 'place' => '165122993538708', 'message' =>'I went to placename today', 'coordinates' => json_encode(array( 'latitude' => '1.3019399200902', 'longitude' => '103.84067653695' )) )); } catch(FacebookApiException $e) { $tryCatch=$e->getMessage(); } return $tryCatch; } </script> <?php } ?>

  • Character Movement Animation

    - by Kartik Kolluri
Hi Guys! I've read a lot around everywhere, but wasn't able to make a simple character movement animation. What I have is a PNG file and an associated PLIST file with all the frames for a "walking" animation of a character that I want to run when the user touches the screen. I want to loop that animation and also at the same time, move the character to the right or left. I want to use Cocos2D in doing this. Does anyone have any code pieces or suggestions on how to do that? Thanks in advance!
