    My problem is that whenever I change the texture of a sprite, the new texture will retain the size of the original sprite's texture. I have this code: mySprite = [CCSprite spriteWithFile:@"mySprite.png"]]; ... // change current stage here CCTexture2D *newTexture=[[[CCTexture2D alloc]initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"stage number %d.png",currentStageNumber]]]autorelease]; [mySprite setTexture:newTexture]; The new sprite is stretched or compressed depending on the size of the original sprite. If the original sprite is larger, the new texture is stretched. I didn't have this problem when I was using cocos2d v0.8 What am I doing wrong?

  • Make SQL Server Reporting Services use metric measurements

    I'm newly getting into creating and programming reports using SQL Server Reporting Services. One thing that bugs me right off the bat: I can't seem to find an easy way to tell the BIDS (Business Intelligence Dev Studio, a.k.a. Visual Studio) to use the metric system for measurements - you know - millimeters, centimeters etc., instead of inches and so on. I was trying to figure out whether that's a setting inside Visual Studio (and if so: where is it??), or whether this depends on the Reporting services instance we're going against (and again: if so, where the heck can I change that???). There must be a way to change this!! Except for the US, no one in the world is still measuring in inches..... c'mon - the world at large has long since adopted the metric system! Don't tell me Microsoft makes me go back into the dark ages.....

I successfully compiled it without changing the code. But when I executed, it is giving me a value 0.25, what I am expecting is 3.14. Code description says it is in K&R C and it doesn't work correctly in ANSI C without some change. I think I have to do those modification to execute it properly. I don't have any previous experience with K&R C. So can someone help me to change above code to ANSI C or point to the problems if any. I am using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 to execute this.

  • iPhone development: Best method to allow user to chose search scope

    Hi, I'm developing my first iPhone app and want to allow the user to select the scope of their search in a more complex way than the 'scope buttons' permit. The app is related to wines and I want to the user to be able to select the 'color' (Red, White, Blush, etc.) first, and then select the type/varietal within that category. Right now, I'm using the UISearchBar's scope buttons for the colors and tapping the button opens a view with the selection of colors. This is okay except that once the 'Red' button has been selected, I can't select it a second time to change my choice of type (e.g., change from 'Merlot' to 'Syrrah', etc.) If there's a better way to do this, I'm willing to scrap my method and start from scratch.     Hi I have situation where I need to change the order of the columns/adding new columns for existing Table in SQLServer2008, It is not allowing me to do without drop and recreate. But That is in production system and having data in that table. I can take backup of the data, and Drop the existing table and change the order/add new columns and recreate it, insert the backup data into new Table. Is there any best way to do this without dropping and recreating.I think SQLServer 2005 will allow this process without dropping and recreating while changing to existing table structure. Thanks

  • Eclipse (Springsource Tool Suite 2.3.1) can't resolve dependencies for classes in the same package

    This started happening when I upgraded my Springsource Toolsuite from 2.3 to 2.3.1. Essentially whenever I do anything, such as open a file, change a file, etc, I have to do a clean. Everything works fine when I do mvn commands on the command line, which leads me to believe that Eclipse is looking in the wrong place for compiled code or something along those lines, although that is entirely superstitious at this point. Example: I make a change to com.foo.mypackage.MyClass. Suddenly a bunch of tests that excercise MyClass get the red x - for class not found! In src/main/test: com.foo.DbUnitTest com.foo.mypackage.FooTest extends DbUnitTest DbUnitTest gets a class not found. I do a clean, and everything is fine. I touch something, and it breaks again :(. I don't really know where to begin on how to troubleshoot this.

Is there a compiler option to change it? Using Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition on an Intel Core Duo processor, the default setting for the precision control field is "01b", meaning double (53 bit) precision. I'm wondering -- why is the default not "11"b, or extended (64 bit) precision? (I know I can change it using _controlfp.)

    Hi, I am a newbie to Flex and programming. I am trying something where I have 2 Numeric Steppers. One numeric stepper holds values from 0-230 and the other from 0.00-0.99. My question is how to change the value of the first numeric stepper when the second numeric stepper goes from 0.99 to 0.00. Suppose the first numeric stepper has a value 10 and the second numeric stepper is being incremented continuously.     I want to split a large table horizontally, and I would like to make sure that all three of them have the same schema. Currently I am using this piece of code to create the tables: statement .executeUpdate("CREATE TABLE AnnotationsMolecularFunction (Id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY ASC AUTOINCREMENT, " + "ProteinId NOT NULL, " + "GOId NOT NULL, " + "UNIQUE (ProteinId, GOId)" + "FOREIGN KEY(ProteinId) REFERENCES Protein(Id))"); There is one such statement for each table. This is bad, because if I decide to change the schema later (which will most certainly happen), I will have to change it three times, which begs for errors, so I would like a way to make sure that the other tables have the same schema without explicitly writing it again. I can use: statement .executeUpdate("CREATE TABLE AnnotationsBiologicalProcess AS SELECT * FROM AnnotationsMolecularFunction"); to create the other tables with the same columns, but the constraints are not aplied. I could of course just generate the same query-string three times with different table-names in Java, but I would like to know if there is an SQL-way of achieving this.

    Hi, I'm loading opengl 3d objects over the iphone camera view. When opengl view is loaded it's loading with a opengl 3d object with black background. The black background color will block the camera view.I just want to clear background color of opengl view so that I could load only the 3d object to the camera view. I had tried glclearcolor(1.0,1.0,1.0,0.0); but no change to background color. I had also tried to clear background color opengl view using [glview setbackgroundColor:[UIColor clearColor]];. No change in back ground color. Can any one help me with this stuff ? I'm new to opengl. Thanks in advance
