  I’ve using the following htaccess script so that i can hide index.php from the uri. RewriteEngine on RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|resources|robots\.txt) RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php/$1 [L,QSA] But i’ve facing a major problem :( I’ve a directory named assets beside my index.php file and it should be there. Now when i browse the directory by browser then the codeigniter’s not found page displays. I can’t browser the file /assets/image.jpg but it displays when i call it from an tag What can i do now? • Bring a subview to the top on mouseDown: AND keep receiving events (for dragging)

  Ok, basically I have a view with a series of slightly overlapping subviews. When a subview is clicked, it moves to the top (among other things), by a really simple two-liner: -(void)mouseDown:(NSEvent *)theEvent { if (_selected) { // Don't do anything this subview is already in the foreground return; } NSView *superview = [self superview]; [self removeFromSuperview]; [superview addSubview:self position:NSWindowAbove relativeTo:nil]; } This works fine and seems to be the "normal" way to do this. The problem is that I'm now introducing some drag logic to the view, so I need to respond to -mouseDragged:. Unfortunately, since the view is removed from the view hierarchy and re-added in the process, I can have the view come to the foreground and be dragged in the same mouse action. It only drags if I leave go of the mouse and click on the view again, since the second click doesn't do any view hierarchy juggling. Is there anything I can do that will allow the view to move to the foreground like this, AND continue to receive the subsequent -mouseDragged: and -mouseUp: events that follow? I started along the lines of thinking of overriding -hitTest: in the superview and intercepting the mouseDown event in order to bring the view to the foreground before it actually receives the event. The problem here is, from within -hitTest:, how do I distinguish what type of event I'm actually performing the hit test for? I wouldn't want to move the subview to the foreground for other mouse events, such as mouseMoved etc.

Near as I can tell the component isn't working and I've no idea as to why. • Simulating mouse clicks on Mac OS X does not work for some applications.

  I'm writing an application for Mac OS X 10.6 and later in C++. One part of the application needs to simulate mouse movement and mouse clicks. I do this currently by posting CGEvent objects using CGEventPost(kCGHIDEventTap, event);. This works, for the most part - I can simulate mouse movement and clicks just fine, but it seems to fail in some areas. For example: In Mozilla Firefox and Safari, I can click on all the menus, but cannot click on a link within a website. When I try, the link is highlighted, but the browser never follows the link. However, I can right-click on a link, select "open link in new tab", and everything works as expected. Solved - creating the mouse event using CGEventCreateMouseEvent(...) makes the event work within web browser. I can click on the "Dashboard" icon to brink up the dashboard, but I cannot click on the "i" button on any of the dashboard widgets. Similarly, clicking on any of the search results from the spotlight search widget doesn't work either. This inconsistency is along application boundaries. What might be the cause?

  I have the url of an image. What i need to do is launch the default image viewer for images using an intent. I tried launching it by using: Uri uri = Uri.parse("http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/srpr/logo1w.png"); Intent it = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); it.setDataAndType(uri, "image/*") startActivity(it); But it doesn't work. If I do not specify the type of data, the intent launches the browser since the data is a url. It works basically (since you can see the image on the browser) but what I would like is to have the gallery display the image for me. I can also download the image into a Bitmap but I would still not know how to display the Bitmap using the gallery (if that's even possible). Any ideas?

• In Oracle 10g, how do I see tables in schemes other than system

  In the hr schema there's a table emloyees, I can query data from it specifying it implicitly SELECT count(*) FROM hr.employees while logged in as system, but when I navigate to Home-Object Browser in the browser I can't see the table employees and other tables in other schemas. Can I manage tables in schemas other than system while logged in as system? Maybe there's some setting which enables me to group tables by schema. My Oracle Database version is 10.2.0.1 Express Edition. IIRC I could see all tables in Oracle Database 10.1.x.y. Thanks.

  In linking a sports event to two teams, at first this seemed to make since: events - id:integer - integer:home_team_id - integer:away_team_id teams - integer:id - string:name However I am troubled by how I would link that up in the active record model: class Event belongs_to :home_team, :class_name => 'Team', :foreign_key => "home_team_id" belongs_to :away_team, :class_name => 'Team', :foreign_key => "away_team_id" end Is that the best solution? In an answer to a similar question I was pointed to single table inheritance, and then later found polymorphic associations. Neither of which seemed to fit this association. Perhaps I am looking at this wrong, but I see no need to subclass a team into home and away teams since the distinction is only in where the game is played. I thought also about a has_many through association but that seems two much as I will only ever need two teams, but those two teams don't belong to any one event. event_teams - integer:event_id - integer:team_id - boolean:is_home Is there a cleaner more semantic way for making these associations in active record?   hey, i saw this on a site a couple of days ago and i cant seem to find it again. in any case, this is what was on the site: the page opened regularly when you entered the url. upon clicking one of the links on the page, it "transitioned" to the next page (there was a color change). and the url in the address bar was changed to reflect that. eg: if the background was blue on site.com, when clicking on the about link, the background would change to green and the browser would show site.com/about. and so on. also, if the url entered was site.com/about, the bg would be green and on cliking the home page, the site would transition from green to blue and browser would show site.com im interested in finding out how this was done. searching on google got me the meta-refresh tag, but the ffect was much more complex and worked on all browsers. is there any other method out there?

I have 2 Questions: I wonder if you have any idea how can I make that after one player clicks on a button and finish his turn, the other player will be able to do a move. After the first player finish his turn I will change the turn by using the database, but the point is how can I refresh the other player's site so when the other one finish his turn, the turn will come to the second player? • internet explorer 7 iframe unloads when going back

  Hi this is my first post here, so please be kind ;-) i'm implementing a browser history manager, just like rsh or yui browser history manager. The idea was not to constantly poll the url hash of a hidden iframe, but to capture the onscroll event of an iframe, when it scrolls to an anchor name on an urlhashchange. So on every click i add an new anchor to iframe and set the iframe's hash to the anchors name. When pressing the back or forward button the frame scrolls to the previous or next anchor and the onscroll event is fired. That works great on firefox 3.0+, IE6 and Opera but on IE7 when hiting the back button the frame unloads and loses all its anchors. • Can I interrupt javascript code and then continue on a keystroke?

  I am porting an old game from C to Javascript. I have run into an issue with display code where I would like to have the main game code call display methods without having to worry about how those status messages are displayed. In the original code, if the message is too long, the program just waits for the player to toggle through the messages with the spacebar and then continues. This doesn't work in javascript, because while I wait for an event, all of the other program code continues. I had thought to use a callback so that further code can execute when the player hits the designated key, but I can't see how that will be viable with a lot of calls to display.update(msg) scattered throughout the code. Can I architect things differently so the event-based, asynchronous model works, or is there some other solution that would allow me to implement a more traditional event loop? Am I making sense?   Whlie reading codes of my group project, I come across many DEFINEs, and some of them seems strange. To generalize it, please look at the following 2 examples. Example 1: #define SNPRINTF(dst, fmt, arg...) snprintf(dst, sizeof(dst), fmt, ##arg) what does "##" means in this circumstance? I've tried to delete both of them, and write codes like "char buf[1024]; SNPRINTF(buf,"%s,%s","abcd","efg");" which produced the same result. So "##" seems no use and no harm to me. Example 2: #define CLOSE(fd) do { \ if (-1 != (fd)) { \ close(fd); \ (fd) = -1; \ } \ } while (0) Necessary to stuff the inner code to the do{}while(0) statement? what's the use? Thanks!

  I want to create and then open a txt file using the ShellExecute command. Delhi shows the CPU window with the caption "CPU-Process unknown (2352)". I close the CU windows and everything works fine until I close the application, when Delphi shows the CPU window one more time. If I run the app from outside IDE, it works fine. Looks like the debugger has something to say to me, but I don't know what.

• How do JVM's implicit memory barriers behave when chaining constructors

  Referring to my earlier question on incompletely constructed objects, I have a second question. As Jon Skeet pointed out, there's an implicit memory barrier in the end of a constructor that makes sure that final fields are visible to all threads. But what if a constructor calls another constructor; is there such a memory barrier in the end of each of them, or only in one being called from outside? That is, when the "wrong" solution is: public class ThisEscape { public ThisEscape(EventSource source) { source.registerListener( new EventListener() { public void onEvent(Event e) { doSomething(e); } }); } } And the correct one would be a factory method version: public class SafeListener { private final EventListener listener; private SafeListener() { listener = new EventListener() { public void onEvent(Event e) { doSomething(e); } } } public static SafeListener newInstance(EventSource source) { SafeListener safe = new SafeListener(); source.registerListener(safe.listener); return safe; } } Would the following work too, or not? public class MyListener { private final EventListener Listener; private MyListener() { listener = new EventListener() { public void onEvent(Event e) { doSomething(e); } } } public MyListener(EventSource source) { this(); source.register(listener); } }
