    Hi..I am using C#.Net and Sql Server ( Windows Application ). I had created a temporary table. When a button is clicked, temporary table (#tmp_emp_details) is created. I am having another button called "insert Values" and also 5 textboxes. The values that are entered in the textbox are used and whenever com.ExecuteNonQuery(); line comes, it throws an error message Invalid object name '#tbl_emp_answer'.. Below is the set of code.. Everything works fine except when I try to open the file in gedit (linux), it says it can't identify the character encoding. Notepad (on windows) opens the file just fine.     I'm attempting to use a Silverlight ComboBox with a static list of elements in a very simple binding scenario. The problem is the selected item is not returning me the Text of the TextBlock within the ComboBox and is instead returning "System.Windows.Controls.TextBlock". My XAML is: <ComboBox SelectedValue="{Binding Country, Mode=TwoWay, NotifyOnValidationError=True, ValidatesOnExceptions=True}"> <TextBlock FontSize="11" Text="Afghanistan" /> <TextBlock FontSize="11" Text="Albania" /> <TextBlock FontSize="11" Text="Algeria" /> </ComboBox> In my C# file I'm binding to the ComboBox using: Customer customer = new Customer() { Country = "Albania" }; DataContext = customer; The binding does not result in Albania as the selected country and updating the ComboBox choice results in the Country being set to "System.Windows.Controls.TextBlock". I've tried fiddling around with DisplayMemberPath and SelectedValuePath but haven't found the answer. I suspect it's something really simple I'm missing.

  • Displaying Data on the Form with C#

    I'm searching files and returning lines that include the search text, and I'm not really sure the best way to display the information I get. Every time I get a match, I want to show, in some sort of control, the File it came from, and the whole text line. (aka streamreader.ReadLine() result). First I tried just putting it all in a read-only text box, but it doesn't have a scroll bar. What is the best form control to help me display this data neatly?

    I'm taking an intro course to UNIX and have a homework question that follows: How many files in the previous question are text files? A text file is any file containing human-readable content. (TRICK QUESTION. Run the file command on a file to see whether the file is a text file or a binary data file! If you simply count the number of files with the ".txt" extension you will get no points for this question.) The previous question simply asked how many regular files there were, which was easy to figure out by doing find . -type f | wc -l I'm just having trouble determining what "human readable content" is, since I'm assuming it means anything besides binary/assembly, but I thought that's what -type f displays. Maybe that's what the professor meant by saying "trick question"? This question has a follow up later that also asks "What text files contain the string "csc" in any mix of upper and lower case?". Obviously "text" is referring to more than just .txt files, but I need to figure out the first question to determine this!

  • How to accurately resize nested elements with ems and font-size percentage?

    I have a carousel with textboxes for each image, and my client (who knows nothing about HTML) edits the textboxes using a WYSIWYG text editor. The resulting output is akin to your worst nightmares; something like: <div class="carousel-text-container"> <span style="font-size:18pt;"> <span style="font-weight:bold;"> Lorem <span style="font-size:15pt:">Dolor</span> </span> Ipsum <span style="font-size:19pt;"><span>&nbsp;<span>Sit</span>Amet</span> </span> </div> This site has to be displayed at 3 different sizes to accomodate smaller monitors, so I have been using CSS media queries to resize the site. Now I am having trouble resizing the text inside the textbox correctly. I have tried using jQuery.css to get the font size of each element in px, and then convert it to em. Then, by setting a font-size:x% sort of declaration on .carousel-text-container, I hoped that that would resize everything properly. Unfortunately, there seems to be a recursive nature with how font-size is applied in ems. That is, .example is not resized properly in the following because its parent is also influencing it <span style="font-size:2em;"> Something <span class="example" style="font-size:1.5em;">Else</span> </span> How can I resize everything reliably and precisely such I can achieve a true percentage of my original font size, margin, padding, line-height, etc. for all the children of .carousel-text-container?

I want an autocomplete on the city name.     Hi, I am using Des.php for decryption. For few texts descript function returns Correct output in readable text format. For few... it just returns blank(empty.) After debugging in Des.php, i found that function _unpad($text) is returning false. The input $text is also still encoded. What could be the reason?   • How can I center something if I don't know ahead of time what the width is?

    I am trying to center a paragraph tag with some text in it within a div, but I can't seem to center it using margin: 0 auto without having to specify a fixed width for the paragraph. I don't want to specify a fixed width, because I will have dynamic text coming into the paragraph tag and it will always be a different width based on how much text it is. Does anyone know how I can center the paragraph tag within the div without having to specify a fixed width for the paragraph or without using tables?
