  • mysqli_stmt_bind_param SQL Injection

    - by profitphp
Is there still an injection risk when using prepared statements and mysqli_stmt_bind_param? For example: $malicious_input = 'bob"; drop table users'; mysqli_stmt_bind_param($stmt, 's', $malicious_input); Behind the scenes does mysqli_stmt_bind_param pass this query string to mysql: SET @username = "bob"; drop table users"; Or does it perform the SET command through the API, or use some type of protection to keep this from happening?

  • How to launch a browser in view source mode?

    - by JorgeLarre
I want to open a file in a web browser (anyone will do) and I want to see it in the view source mode instead of in the standard browser window. This can be done in two steps, by opening the file and then go to the view source window (different shortcuts in each browser), but I want to directly go to the view source window. I have not found any such command line argument for Firefox nor Chrome. Is this possible just with the base browser functionality?

  • Remove extra junk from C preprocessor?

    - by Brendan Long
I'm trying to use the C preprocessor on non-C code, and it works fine except for creating lines like this at the top: # 1 "test.java" # 1 "<built-in>" # 1 "<command-line>" # 1 "test.java" The problem is that these lines aren't valid in Java. Is there any way to get the preprocessor to not write this stuff? I'd prefer not to have to run this through something else to just remove the first 4 lines every time.

  • How to mkdir only if a dir does not already exist?

    - by Spike Williams
I am writing a script to run under the korn shell on AIX. I'd like to use the mkdir command to create a directory. But the directory may already exist, in which case I don't want to do anything. So I want to either test to see that the directory doesn't exist, or suppress the "File exists" error that mkdir throws when it tries to create an existing directory. Any thoughts on how best to do this?

  • Network.downloadfile is very slow

    - by user324067
I have tried using the My.Computer.Network.DownloadFile method but unfortunately it is slow. Executing the simple command below takes ~5-10 secs, which I would say is a lot longer than expected for downloading a 9 kb file. `My.Computer.Network.DownloadFile("http://www.google.dk", "j:\temp\test.html")` I am connecting via a high-speed connection (10GB) from a Win7 machine. Do anyone know of any explanations for this behavior? Hope that you can help me out with this. Kristoffer

  • vb6 ADODB TSQL procedure call quit working after database migration

    - by phill
This code was once working on sql server 2005. Now isolated in a visual basic 6 sub routine using ADODB to connect to a sql server 2008 database it throws an error saying: "Login failed for user 'admin' " I have since verified the connection string does work if i replace the body of this sub with the alternative code below this sub. When I run the small program with the button, it stops where it is marked below the asterisk line. Any ideas? thanks in advance. Private Sub Command1_Click() Dim cSQLConn As New ADODB.Connection Dim cmdGetInvoices As New ADODB.Command Dim myRs As New ADODB.Recordset Dim dStartDateIn As Date dStartDateIn = "2010/05/01" cSQLConn.ConnectionString = "Provider=sqloledb;" _ & "SERVER=NET-BRAIN;" _ & "Database=DB_app;" _ & "User Id=admin;" _ & "Password=mudslinger;" cSQLConn.Open cmdGetInvoices.CommandTimeout = 0 sProc = "GetUnconvertedInvoices" 'On Error GoTo GetUnconvertedInvoices_Err With cmdGetInvoices .CommandType = adCmdStoredProc .CommandText = "_sp_cwm5_GetUnCvtdInv" .Name = "_sp_cwm5_GetUnCvtdInv" Set oParm1 = .CreateParameter("@StartDate", adDate, adParamInput) .Parameters.Append oParm1 oParm1.Value = dStartDateIn .ActiveConnection = cSQLConn End With With myRs .CursorLocation = adUseClient .LockType = adLockBatchOptimistic .CursorType = adOpenKeyset '.CursorType = adOpenStatic .CacheSize = 5000 '***************************Debug stops here .Open cmdGetInvoices End With If myRs.State = adStateOpen Then Set GetUnconvertedInvoices = myRs Else Set GetUnconvertedInvoices = Nothing End If End Sub Here is the code which validates the connection string is working. • How do I fix my Ruby installation

    - by Robin Fisher
Hi all, I rather cleverly (or not in hindsight) installed RVM, which kept hanging whilst compiling Rubies. I have removed the .rvm directory but now my system has reverted to Ruby 1.8.7 i.e. when I type: ruby -v which ruby they both point to 1.8.7. How do I get the ruby command to point to my 1.9.1 installation, which is located in /usr/local/lib/ruby/1.9.1? I'm on OSX 10.6. Thanks Robin
