  Hey, if I try to connect to a Terracotta server that is currently down by calling net.sf.ehcache.CacheManager.create();, EHCache keeps retrying connection attempts for a full 300 seconds before throwing an exception with this message: Could not fetch configuration data from the server at 'terracottahost:9510'. Fetch attempt duration: 300 seconds. Is there any way to modify this time to be maybe 30 or 60 seconds? Thank you!

  I've been reading about NHibernate and Microsoft's Entity Framework to perform Object Relational Mapping against my data access layer. I'm interested in the benefits of having an established framework to perform ORM, but I'm curious as to the performance costs of using it against standard XML Serialization and Deserialization. Right now, I develop stored procedures in Oracle and SQL Server that use XML Types for either input or output parameters and return or shred XML depending on need. I use a custom database command object that uses generics to deserialize the XML results into a specified serializable class. By using a combination of generics, xml (de)serialization and Microsoft's DAAB, I've got a process that's fairly simple to develop against regardless of the data source. Moreover, since I exclusively use Stored Procedures to perform database operations, I'm mostly protected from changes in the data structure. • Problems with Ajax Chat version .8.3

  I am not sure why, but my Ajax Chatroom ever once in awhile (once time ever other day on average I'd say), displays an connection error 503. Now doing some digging apparently 503 is an error for exceeding max connections, and the typical fix is increasing your limit to something like 400 but my max connections is already set to 1500. That being said I would love some help on the issue as I cannot find any further info on it.

  I can see "SQL Server Compact Destination" under Data Flow Destinations, but I am looking for its source counterpart. If I choose ADO.Net source and create a new connection, there's no provider for SQL CE. What am I missing? Thanks! • Is it a good idea to mock/stub in integration tests?

  Say there are multiple requests in a integration test, some of them are sphinx calls(locator for example). Should we just stub out the entire response of these sphinx call, or, since it is a integration test, we want to excise the entire test without stubbing. If that is the case, how do we still keep test independent in the situation when sphinx fails, no internet connection, or third party server non-responsive. Give reasons. Thanks
