    I want the class to auto-attach its required css and js files when instantiated... is there any way of a class knowing where it is (and its files) in relation to the root? if 1 is possible, is there a way to check if a css/js file has already been referenced in the file, or is this not necessary(do browsers ignore duplicate css/js file references)?

  • How to auto-generate early bound properties for Entity specific (ie Local) Option Set text values?

    After spending a year working with the Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk namespace, I just discovered yesterday the Entity.FormattedValues property contains the text value for Entity specific (ie Local) Option Set texts. The reason I didn't discover it before, is there is no early bound method of getting the value. i.e. entity.new_myOptionSet is of type OptionSetValue which only contains the int value. You have to call entity.FormattedValues["new_myoptionset"] to get the string text value of the OptionSetValue. Therefore, I'd like to get the crmsrvcutil to auto-generate a text property for local option sets. i.e. Along with Entity.new_myOptionSet being generated as it currently does, Entity.new_myOptionSetText would be generated as well. I've looked into the Microsoft.Crm.Services.Utility.ICodeGenerationService, but that looks like it is mostly for specifying what CodeGenerationType something should be... Is there a way supported way using CrmServiceUtil to add these properties, or am I better off writing a custom app that I can run that can generate these properties as a partial class to the auto-generated ones? Edit - Example of the code that I would like to be generated Currently, whenever I need to access the text value of a OptionSetValue, I use this code: var textValue = OptionSetCache.GetText(service, entity, e => e.New_MyOptionSet); The option set cache will use the entity.LogicalName, and the property expression to determine the name of the option set that I'm asking for. It will then query the SDK using the RetrieveAttriubteRequest, to get a list of the option set int and text values, which it then caches so it doesn't have to hit CRM again. It then looks up the int value of the New_MyOptionSet of the entity and cross references it with the cached list, to get the text value of the OptionSet. Instead of doing all of that, I can just do this (assuming that the entity has been retrieved from the server, and not just populated client side): var textValue = entity.FormattedValues["new_myoptionset"]; but the "new_myoptionset" is no longer early bound. I would like the early bound entity classes that gets generated to also generate an extra "Text" property for OptionSetValue properties that calls the above line, so my entity would have this added to it: public string New_MyOptionSetText { return this.GetFormattedAttributeValue("new_myoptionset"); // this is a protected method on the Entity class itself... }

    Hello, In ASP.NET MVC, we don't have controls which can do stuffs such as autocompletion (we don't have controls at all from Visual Studio like in web forms). But, Is it possible to still get 'Auto-completion' with a text box in ASP.NET MVC (like with the textbox found on the Google's Home page)? If this is the case, what's the best way to do so? JQueryUI? or there's someother way of getting that functionality? Thanks for helping.

    Given: vm - a WinXPsp3 virtual machine hosted by a Win7sp1 physical machine alice is the user on vm srv - a Win2008R2sp1 server bob is the user on srv quake - a linux server mark is the user on quake Both vm and srv have the same new installation of cygwin (1.7.9) and openssh. Address of the reply object in the above code and the address of the object in viewDidLoad is not same. Any idea where this new object is coming from? How do I debug? I also added init method the following method in ReplyToViewController hoping that it will get called and I can find who is creating this new object. But it does not stop in this method.   • Instabilities with Bridged and bonded interfaces

    I did post yesterday to get a working setup with several bridged interfaces used for virtual machines (KVM/libvirt). One of the bridged interface is just using eth3 as its ports while the second one (public traffic) is using an ethernet bonded interface. That setup is working but not all the time ! I can start a download from a vm, then it will stop and freeze!   • Issue with multiple bridging for KVM hosts

    I'm using KVM and libvirt on my host (Debian lenny) + 2 bridges per guest (one for mgmt, one for public traffic). That setup isn't stable at all, sometimes I can do pings to a management ip, sometimes not. I don't know if my bridging paramateres are correct, could you check ? or if there is anything wrong ... Please also note that interface on guest doesn't flap and that I got not logs on my host. I can ping (echo-request) the external address and receive a pong (echo-reply) but ICMPv6 messages initiated on the far side are dropped.   • Is there a jquery List plugin that will auto-sort items and has robust add/remove methods?

    I have been googling for hours looking for something to handle my situation. I am not skilled enough to write my own jquery plugin ..YET!! The plugin should auto-sort the list, not as important as being able to add/remove items from the list easily. Themeroller capable would be a plus. I would basically use anything as long as I could add a item to the list (or any other container for that matter), item is coming from a modal popup that is using ajax to search for the item. Once the item is found I want to click that item and have it added to the list and it would put it into the correct order based on alphabetic sort. I think where I am losing sight is the complexity of the item and needing to have the item contain: The name of the item a hidden value, [the int id of the item], one or two checkboxes for turning on/off a feature for that item. I am really open to any ideas, suggestions on a better process, or a pointer to a plugin that might get me close.

    Hello - Does anyone know how to modify the Wordpress canonical links to add a custom URL parameter? I have a Wordpress site with a page that queries a separate (non-Wordpress) database. I passed the URL parameter "pubID" to display individual books and it is working OK. Example: http://www.uglyducklingpresse.org/catalog/browse/item/?pubID=63 But the individual book pages are not showing up properly in Google - the ?pubID parameter is stripped out. I think maybe this is because all the item pages have the same auto-generated "canonical" URL link tag in the source - one with the "pubID" parameter stripped out. Example: link rel='canonical' href='http://www.uglyducklingpresse.org/catalog/browse/item/' Is there a way to perhaps edit .htaccess to add a custom URL parameter to Wordpress, so that the parameter is not stripped out by permalinks and the "canonical" links? Or maybe there's another solution ... Thank you for any ideas!

    I just want to develop a C app in linux with the auto(make/conf/...) stuff automatically generated. I tried generating it with ede and anjuta, but it doesn't seem to generate Makefile.am. So, I tried running automake, and it says "ltmain.sh" isn't found. Is there some easy to generate the basic build files for linux C/C++ apps. What is the standard practice? Do most people write these files themselves?

    I have a kind of plugin system, with this layout: - Python -- SDK -- Plugins ---- Plugin1 ---- Plugin2 All 3 have a __init__.py file. I wonder if is possible to be able to do import SDK from any plugin (as if SDK was in the site-packages folder). I'm in a situation where need to deploy, update, delete, add or change SDK files or any of the plugins under non-admin accounts, and wonder if I can get SDK in a clean way (I could sys.path.append in all plugins but I wonder if exist a better option).   • How to auto-increment reference number persistently when NSManagedObjects created in core-data.

    In my application i am using core-data to store information and saving these data to the server using web-connectivity i have to use MySql. Basically what i want to do is to keep track of number of NSManagedObject already created and Whenever i am adding new NSManagedObject, based on that counting it will assign the class a Int_value which will act as primary_key in MySql. For examaple, there are already 10 NSManagedobjects, and when i will add new one it will assign it "11" as primary_key. these value will have to be increasing because there is no deleting of NSManagedObject. From my approach its about static member in applicationDelegate whose initial value can be any integer but should be incremented by one(like auto-increment) everytime new NSManagedObject is created and also it should be persistent. I am not clear how to do this, please give me suggestions. Thanks in advance.

    I'm currently writing a web service using WCF in VB.NET. Previous web services I wrote used ASMX but I wanted to learn WCF and so far it's going well. I actually prefer the way WCF does things. One thing I miss however is the way that ASMX used to generate example SOAP requests and responses. It was like getting documentation for free. Is there anyway to auto generate SOAP documentation for WCF? If not, is there any way to generate it in a .NET page using the WSDL?
