  • Pop3 to SMTP message custom forwarder in C#

    I'd like to write a service that periodically checks a POP3 account for new messages and based on custom business logic forwards the messages to an appropriate "To", and possibly changes the "From" as well. I might need to keep some messages on the server until certain conditions are ready for them to be forwarded. I found a sample using Chilkat .NET components that might work: http://www.example-code.com/csharp/pop3_forwarder.asp My question is: Are there any other examples of this in the .NET space using any other components? URI uri = new URI(url); HttpPost post = new HttpPost(uri); HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpResponse response = client.execute(post); I have a asp.net webform application that has in the page load this Response.Output.Write("It worked"); I want to grab this Response from the HttpReponse and print it out. How do I do this? I tried response.getEntity().toString() but it just seems to print out the address in memory. Thanks

  • CruiseControl Console error message when parsing XML

    I have CruiseControl(1.5) running in Win2k8R2 and svn(1.6.9) The error happens on a successful build after nant(0.86) Timeout(600 seconds).   • IValidator.Validate method and adding error message to a custom type

    I have several server controls that implement the IValidator interface. As such, they have their own Validate() methods that look like this. public void Validate() { this.IsValid = true; if (someConditionFails()) { ErrorMessage = "Condition failed!"; this.IsValid = false; } } I understand that these Validate() methods are executed on postback before the load completed event that is executed before the save button's event handler. What I would like to do is pass in a reference to an instance of a custom class that collects all the error messages that I can access from Save button event handler. In other words, I would like to do something like this: public void Validate(ref SummaryOfErrorMessages sum) I guess I can't do this as the signature is different from what the IValidator interface has. The other option I can think of is on Load Completed event, I would iterate through all the validators on page, get the ones with IsValid = false and create my SummaryOfErrorMessages there. Does this sound right? Is there a better way of doing it?

  • Suppress excel add-in confirmation message

    I am accessing excel with C++ and add-ins are being loaded. Everything we load the add-in programatically, the user has to click ok when the add-in is unloaded and loaded. Some users have complained that this can be as much as 20 times for a "run." How can I programatically suppress the add-in confirmation messages? NOTE: excelApplication SetDisplayAlerts(FALSE) does not suppress the confirmation messages.

In other words, it failed because it didn't succeed. Uh, thanks. I feel so much more ... what's the word I'm looking for here? Ah, enlightened. I think it would be fun to hear yours, and I'm sure you have plenty. I really enjoyed the best programmer jokes that appeared here earlier, so maybe this will bring a few smiles and lighten the load in a similar fashion.   • Logictech USB HID controller message

    I have a Logitech game controller(http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Dual-Action-Game-Pad/dp/B0000ALFCI). I'm using c# and Microsoft's HID driver to track what buttons are being pressed. Each button press sends a Byte Array that has 8 values. The problems is that I don't know what those 8 value represent. Here is an example: 0, 128, 126, 127, 130, 24, 24, 0, 4, 252 0, 128, 126, 127, 130, 40, 40, 0, 4, 252 0, 128, 126, 127, 127, 72, 72, 0, 4, 252 0, 128, 126, 127, 127, 136, 136, 0, 4, 252 Those are the values of the Byte Array for button press 1, 2, 3, 4 respectively. I see where the values are changing, but I'm unsure what they represent. I'm unable to find any specs on Microsoft HID driver. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    I have created an installer for some of my games and I want the uninstaller to ask me if I want to save my game files. Something like this: when I execute the uninstall.exe to ask me 'Do you want to keep all saved games?' YES or NO. If I hit YES my save files remain and my program files are uninstalled and if I hit NO my program files inclusive save files to be uninstalled. What is the PASCAL code for InnoSetup to do this? Based on what I've seen around the web, I can't tell if that's all I need? Maybe I need some other configuration in Tomcat to kick off the listener?

  • ASP.NET - Display Message While Page Is Loading

    I have a page that performs a long-running task (10 to 15 seconds) in the page_load method. I have client-side javascript code that will display a decent "page loading" animated gif to the user. I am able to invoke the JavaScript method from the code-behind, to display the "page loading" animated gif, however, the long-running task is hanging up the UI such that the animated gif doesn't actually display until after the long-running task is complete, which is the exact opposite of what I want. To test this out, in my page_load method I make a call to the JavaScript method to display the animated gif. Then, I use Thread.Sleep(10000). What happens is that the animated gif doesn't display until after Thread.Sleep is complete. Obviously I am doing something incorrect. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Chris
