  • How to make a plugin for Finder to browse zip-archives as folders?

    What really surprises me is lack of some essential functionality in Finder, when one migrates from Windows to OS X. One of the things is a possibility to open an archive as a folder, i.e. staying in the directory tree and being able to drag and drop files from the archive to folders in the tree, sidebar etc. What would you do to enable such functionality?

    I want to make all my settings forms across my site confirm that changes are saved, kinda like facebook does if you make changes in a form and then try to navigate away without saving. So I'm disabling the submit button on the forms only enabling if the values change.     I am getting confused with this plug in. basically my target is to Deploy files from Server1 to Server2 now the buildoutput dir is in a specific location in Server1 example E:\BuildOutput\Apps\Application1\Bin\ I need to deploy them in Server2 C:\Program Files\Tools\Application1\Bin\ How do I set up this plugin to work to what i need? I am getting stressed in the amount of files that needs to be deployed to another server, i just wished a simple xcopy tool to another server could work.

  • Is it possible to make a script/plugin for Finder to toggle hidden files without relaunching?

    There are several ways how to toggle hidden files in Finder - via a shell command, or AppleScript, or Automator action, or even a Dashboard widget. All of them are doing the same thing and unfortunately require to close and reopen Finder windows, which is quite annoying. On the other hand, for the Open File dialog one can easily toggle hidden files by pressing Command+Shift+Period. Is it possible to make a script or plugin for Finder to toggle hidden files w/o relaunching? How would you make it?

    I'm using the great (IMHO) jQuery Address plugin but it's been driving me insane since I didn't know that it automatically tracked the pages on Google Analytics. How do I keep it from doing it? I tried this but apparently it's never called. $.address.tracker(function(){console.log("hello")}) I guess I could somehow overwrite the function in the plugin but I hope there's a better way...

I would like to enhance it to support cross-frames . It means, the horizontal part of the whole menu (html,css,javascript etc..in demo page) will exist in the upper frame and the rest will be put in the lower frame. Edit: There will be only one menu item in the horizontal part. It will be still ok if I can click that menu_item rather than mouse-hovering to show the lower part of the menu . Pipeline-Stage is post-operational, execution is synchronous. I register for a post image that contains baseamount. However, the value of baseamountin the postImageEntity is zero. This "postImage" entity contains a key for "baseamount" but its value is 0. Can anybody help me understand why this is the case and what I can do about it? (I also noticed that the postImage does not contain all but only a subset of the entities I registered for.) In my case, I want a hotkey to fire when inside an input box, not all but one in particular: $(function() { $(document).bind('keydown', 'Shift+return',function (evt) { alert('got it') }); }); Any ideas on how jQuery Hotkeys can be patched to allow for shift+return to be fired when inside an input/textarea field? but not fired for all the other hotkey bindings?
