    I have developed an application in vb.net2008 and database sqlserver. Now i want to ignore the database (it has 1 table as customer(name,password,hour,minute)) as i dont want my client to install sqlserver separately or other overheads. I am planning to do the whole using file handling in vb.net(manipulating the data in files itself eg change username, password etc). As I am new i don't actually know the proper way and of course need assistance.

    I have a javascript action on a div (asp.net panel) as an onkeypress attribute. This is the default action button on an asp.net Panel control. It contains the following: onkeypress="javascript:return WebForm_FireDefaultButton(event, 'ctl00_cp1_ucInvoiceSearch_btnSearch')" For some reason when I change my textbox to a jQuery textbox clicking enter no longer fires this div. Why and how can I hook it back up so when I enter text in the textbox and click enter it fires? Lloyd

The web.config section replacement works fine when built manually, but when built as part of a TFS build the section is not replaced. I cannot find any errors or warnings in the build log.   • How do I list Clearcase versions without the Fully-qualified verison?

    In Clearcase: I'm trying to find the names of all files in the current view without a specific label. So far I've come up with the following: cleartool find -cview -all -version '\!lbtype(LABEL_1)' -print But this ends up displaying the filenames with the "@@/main/BRANCH1/SUBBRANCH" appended to the end, and I really want just the filename. I've tried adding a -short, but the find command doesn't like that option, and I can't find an option in the manuals to change the behavior.

    I have a class library(abc.dll) in which i have used a settings file. An exe (app.exe) references this class library. At runtime if i want to change the values of the settings without having to rebuild the class library/application, what is the best way to approach this problem ? In my current approach the setting values get embeded in the library, and thus i dont see any way to update them without rebuilding the whole thing.

I had a method that used an Object Function Foo(ByRef bar as CustomObject) as Boolean this method generated errors, because some strange .NET Runtime things changed the bar object, causing its Dispose()al. A lot of time spent to understand the thing(where the ... object is changed), until somebody replaced ByRef by ByVal and object wasn't change anymore when passing to this method... Somebody could explain this, what happens?

I'm using jQuery, so I naturally tried the $('#textarea_id').change() event. But it's never triggered because I guess the textarea never loses focus.     How can I protect a ClickOnce deployed application with a password? Do I have to change the IIS settings of the web or is there a way to do it programmatically? I'm using Visual Studio 2005 (.NET 2.0). If I have to use web credentials, are auto-updates of the application still possible?     Hi there: I am trying to type in a pair of angle brackets in Eclipse, like "<". However it shows up as a single quotation and a dot, like "'.".
