  • Differences using JSON with MVC & MVC2?

    I recently started working with MVC or MVC2 to be more exact. I found a tutorial yesterday that was using JSON to populate a dropdowlist. Im not sure why this did not work with a MVC2 project and only with a MVC.     I was wondering how Blippy is able to get my data? It requires me to put in my bank name, bank card number and password, so is it doing a simple website scrape by logging in?     hi, I have a win form that creates a site in IIS7. One function needs to open the web.config file and make a few updates. (connection string, smtp, impersonation) However I do not have the virtual path, just the physical path. Is there any way I can still use WebConfigurationManager?   • json_pure/rubygems cyclic dependencies

    I have an issue when trying to set up rvm, where gems weren't installing due to them being dependent on json_pure. I tried to install json_pure, but rubygems itself seems to depend on json_pure. I have tried removing all versions of json_pure, but rubygems still complains. $ sudo gem install json_pure /Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems.rb:777:in `report_activate_error': Could not find RubyGem json_pure (= 0) (Gem::LoadError) I have tried downloading the gem and installing it locally, but rubygems still complains about the dependency.

    I have a site with about 60,000 pages that are getting placed in the sitemap, and which have a priority of 0.3. These are all really long pages that are rich in keywords. I also have a few pages (like the about page), that need high priority, but which I've implemented with the django flatpages framework. Is it possible for pages created this way to have a higher priority in the sitemap?

  • Force sharepoint to ask for authentication

    Is there a way to force sharepoint 2010 to popup the dialog to ask the user for a username and password and not use the computers logged in user, if that user doesn't have access. We need an internal sharepoint website to not use the windows credentials, since these are computers used by many people. The windows user doesn't have access to the site, so currently it shows an access denied, click here to log in as another user. We would prefer if it just asked for credentials in a more graceful manner.
