  Hola guys! im currently struggling to integrate a REST Service based on Jersey and Spring. I'm using Spring 3.0.2-RELEASE and jersey-spring 1.2. • AVAudioPlayer only initializes with some files

  Hi everyone, I'm having trouble playing some files with AVAudioPlayer. When I try to play a certain m4a, it works fine. It also works with an mp3 that I try. However it fails on one particular mp3 every time (15 Step, by Radiohead), regardless of the order in which I try to play them. The audio just does not play, though the view loading and everything that happens concurrently happens correctly. The code is below. I get the "Player loaded." log output on the other two songs, but not on 15 Step. I know the file path is correct (I have it log outputted earlier in the app, and it is correct). Any ideas? • ASPX FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage function is not working anymore

  Here is my issue. I have an ASPX web site and I have code in there to redirect from the login page with the call to "FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(username, false);" This sends the user from the root website folder to 'website/Admin/'. I have a 'default.aspx' page in 'website/Admin/' and the call to redirect works on a previous version of the website we have running currently, but the one that I am updating on a separate test server is not working. It gives me the error "Directory Listing Denied. This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed." I have this in the config file: <authorization> <allow users="*" /> </authorization> under the "authentication" option and... <location path="Admin"> <system.web> <authorization> <deny users="?" /> </authorization> </system.web> </location> for the location of Admin. Also, there is no difference in the code between the web.config, Login.aspx, or the default.aspx files on the current server and the one on the test server, so I am confused as to why the redirect will not work on both. It even works in the Visual Studio server environment, for which the code is also identical. Any suggestions and help is appreciated.

  Hey all, I'm looking into a project that would upload custom NSBundles that include a NSViewController. In my main program I've got this code to deal with the bundle after it's been loaded... id principalClass = [loadedBundle principalClass]; id instance = [[principalClass alloc] init]; [localLabel setStringValue:[instance name]]; NSView *incomingView = [[instance viewController] view]; [localView addSubview:incomingView]; [localView display]; And the principal classes init method in the bundle looks like this... -(id) init { if(self = [super init]){ name = @"My Plugin"; viewController = [[ViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"View" bundle:nil]; } return self; } View.nib is a nib located in the bundles project. But whenever I load the bundle I get this error... 2010-05-27 09:11:18.423 PluginLoader[45032:a0f] unable to find nib named: View in bundle path: (null) 2010-05-27 09:11:18.424 PluginLoader[45032:a0f] -[NSViewController loadView] could not load the "View" nib. I know I've got everything wired up because the line [label setStringValue:[instance name]]; sets the label text correctly. Plus, if I take all of the clases in the bundle and load them into my main applications project everything works as expect. Any thoughts on how I can correctly reference "View" in my bundle? Thanks!

• Codesign returns exit code of 11 for xcode iphone project -- can't find documentation on exit code 1

  Hi Everyone, I'm new to iPhone development. I am trying to get Xcode to run an application on a phone. The app works fine in the simulator. Initially I hit the error: The executable was signed with invalid entitlements I followed the steps here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1074546/the-executable-was-signed-with-invalid-entitlements But now I am getting an exit code of 11. I checked the documentation on codesign but I can't find any mention of an exit code 11 (http://gemma.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/man1/codesign.1.html) Below is the log I am getting. • Did you love the game Mouse Trap as a kid, or something similar? (Programmer Psychology) [closed]

  When I was a kid I absolutely fell in love with games that had as a core feature, the need to understand interconnecting structures. My favorite of all time was Mouse Trap. For the younger crowd out there, this was a very cool board game where you built the mouse trap out of the included plastic pieces as you played, with the end goal to trigger the mouse trap. The fully assembled mouse trap was a Rube Goldberg style invention where one operation triggered the next and the next and so on, until the last step dropped a cage on a little plastic mouse. Sometimes when I'm programming and I'm reviewing a particularly complex interaction between components and objects, while tracking the flow path mentally, I say to myself "It's a Mouse Trap!" and I wonder if my early addiction to that game and others like it was portent to my becoming a programmer. Another realization I have sometimes when looking at my code is how daunted I feel at the share complexity involved, followed by a darker comedic amazement at my expectation that it will all come together and work. How about you? Did you find yourself drawn to games that at their heart featured interacting control paths when growing up? Robert.

  Hello, total ruby newbie, trying to setup a Rails/MongoDB application on Mac OS X Snow leopard. Installed Ruby 1.9.1 and RubyGems 1.3.7, which ruby and which gem point to the same directory. I'm using the Snow Leopard built-in apache and Passenger 2.2.11. I'm using the rails template from the mongo-site which seems to work okay overall. The exact error that passenger gives me is: /Users/User/Sites/feuerapp/vendor/rails/railties/lib/rails/gem_dependency.rb:119:Warning: Gem::Dependency#version_requirements is deprecated and will be removed on or after August 2010. • Solutions for working with multiple branches in ASP.Net

  At work, we are often working on multiple branches of our product at one time. For example, right now, we have a maintenance branch, a branch with code just going to QA, and a branch for a new major initiative, that won't be merged for some time now. Our web project is set up to use IIS, so every time we switch to a different branch, we have to go in to IIS Admin and change the path on the virtual directory, then reset IIS, and sometimes even restart Visual Studio, to avoid getting build errors. Is there any way to simplify this, other than not having our web project set up as a virtual directory? I'm not sure we want to make that change at this point. What do you do to make this easier, assuming you do this? Corey @RedWolves, virtual machines would definitely work, but I'm not sure it would be any simpler, especially for some of the other developers on my team, which is partly why I'm looking for more simplicity. @Dan, we're not able to change source control providers, unfortunately. @pix0r, that's something I'll try when I get back to work. Thanks for the suggestion. @Haacked, I'll have to give that a try too, but I think we have some issues with why that won't work (I can't remember exactly why right now; this application was originally written in .Net 1.1, pre-Cassini, and I can't remember if we tried it when we upgraded to 2.0 or not). • Perl Lingua giving weird error on install

  I am trying to install perl Lingua onto a unix system (ubuntu, latest version). Of course I am root. when I go into the package to install using 'perl Makefile.pl' I get this dumb error: [root@csisl27 Lingua-Lid-0.01]# perl Makefile.PL /opt/ls//lib does not exist at Makefile.PL line 48.   I've browsed all of the discussions here on StackOverflow regarding NTLM and Java, and I can't seem to find the answer. I'll try and be much more specific. • Mercurial Editor: "abort: The system cannot find the file specified"

  I have a problem getting Mercurial to recognise my editor. I have a file, c:\windows\notepad.exe and typing "notepad" at the command prompt works. I can commit by using the "-m" argument to supply the commit title. But a simple "hg commit" brings up the error.   In my most recent question: Unit Testing Best Practice? / C# InternalsVisibleTo() attribute for VBNET 2.0 while testing?, I was asking about InternalsVisibleToAttribute. I have read the documentation on how to use it, and everything is fine and understood. However, I can't instantiate my class Groupe from my Testing project. I want to be able to instantiate my internal class in my wrapper assembly, from my testing assembly. Any help is appreciated! EDIT #1 Here's the compile-time error I get when I do try to instantiate my type: Erreur 2 'Carra.Exemples.Blocs.ActiveDirectory.Groupe' n'est pas accessible dans ce contexte, car il est 'Private'.   Hey there again! Today I ran into a problem when I was making a new theme creator for chrome. As you may know, Chrome uses a "new" file format, called CRX, to manage it's plugins and themes. It is a basic zip file, but a bit modified: "Cr24" + derkey + signature + zipFile And here comes the problem. There are only two CRX creators, written in Ruby or Python. I don't know neither language too much (had some basic experience in Python though, but mostly with PyS60), so I would like to ask you to help me convert this python app to a C# code that doesn't depend on external programs. • jQuery's getScript and the local file system-- limitations/alternatives?

  Right now I'm working on a help-system which is based on a local file system. It is intended to be shipped with a product which is not used on internet-enabled machines, so it must be a stand alone webpage, without any dependencies on a web server. This introduces a few challenges. Namely, the directory structure that the files exist in require navigating "up and over" to access some .js files which are required to display the help system. This use to be implemented using the jQuery getScript function, but I have ran into some problems using this on the local file system. At first glance, it seemed that if my webpage was being served out of the C:/dev/webpage/html/ directory, and the files I needed were in C:/dev/webpage/js/(topic)/file.js, I could just build an absolute path (file:///...) and pass that into the getScript function. However, after testing this, it does not seem that the getScript function will let me go up a level from the html directory (where the html file is located which has the main code for the webpage). Unfortunately, I can not change the directory structure, nor can I change the .js file structure/format. Is there an alternative for loading/executing javascript files that are in a file structure where I need to go "up and over"? Thanks,

  Hey all, I tried to install the highcharts-rails plugin from github as specified in the instructions: Installation Get the plugin: script/plugin install git://github.com/loudpixel/highcharts-rails.git Run the rake setup: rake highcharts_rails:install But when I run the script/plugin install... It installs a couple of files only and not all the required files, I presume, because when I run rake highcharts_rails:install I get the following: rake aborted! What I'm doing is starting the process from my application and trying to read what the client prints on the screen and sending my commands to it. The problem is that I can not read almost any data sent by the ftp client. Some data is present but most data is not read. That's the code I have until now. • Flex 4 vs JavaScript Options (Cappuccino, JQuery, etc.)

  Rehashing an older post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1570070/jquery-vs-flex-choosing-a-platform-for-saas We are preparing to develop an application that is exceptionally dynamic and interactive. It's particularly heavy on the graphics side. We are 85% convinced that Adobe Flash built atop Flex is the right path to take, however Cappuccino is quite nice and seems as though it may be able to nearly fit the bill. The only pause we have right now is portability for the iPhone. With the lack of blessings from Apple we will most certainly have to create a 2nd interface for the iPhone for the site, however... Having two interfaces may not be bad as it will likely have to be custom anyway to take advantage of the differences that it affords. Any further thoughts or reevaluations of points enumerated in the noted article? Further, Flex 4 adds a lot of strength to the position mentioned previously regarding UI development. Fx4 is very nice vs Fx3 and shaves 90% from the development time when coupled with Flash Catalyst, which is not really always fully appropriate, but with some round trip tricks it seems as though it can cut through things rather well... Please do advise and many thanks.

It has worked fine on 32 bit Windows but not working on 64 bit Windows 7. Here are the Python modules I have created for testing: test_icon_overlay.py: ( http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-win32/attachments/20101229/bb8c78a4/attachment-0002.obj ) com server created in Python for icon overlay which adds check mark overlay icon(C:\icons\test.ico) on "C:\icons" folder setup_VI.py: ( http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-win32/attachments/20101229/bb8c78a4/attachment-0003.obj ) setup file which creates test_icon_overlay.dll for distribution. icons.zip: ( http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-win32/attachments/20101229/bb8c78a4/attachment-0001.zip ) for testing you should extract icons.zip inside C:\ Icon overlay appears on C:\icons folder when I execute python test_icon_overlay.py on Windows command prompt and restarts explorer.exe. But its not working with the dll file created using setup_VI.py I have created dll file using python setup_VI.py py2exe and then tried to register it using regsvr32 test_icon_overlay.dll. Registration fails with windows error message Error 0x80040201 while registering shell extension. Then I turned on logger in Python27/Lib/site-packages/py2exe/boot_com_servers.py and here is the traceback which I am getting in comerror.txt on regsvr32 test_icon_overlay.dll PATH is ['C:\\root\\avalon\\module\\sync\\python\\src\\dist\\library.zip'] Traceback (most recent call last): File "boot_com_servers.py", line 37, in <module> pywintypes.error: (126, 'GetModuleFileName', 'The specified module could not be found.') I need to deploy 2 Jira instances on asingle Tomcat server, I can't figure out how to pass in the jira.home property The documentation says I need to:- Add a web context property called 'jira.home' — this property is set in different files depending on your application server. For example, for Tomcat (and therefore for JIRA Standalone), you will need to configure the server.xml file. For other application servers you may need to configure the web.xml file, or set 'Context parameter' options on the deployment UI of the application server, etc. Note that If you have specified a JIRA home in jira-application.properties (ie. the recommended method), it will override your web context property.
