  I apologies if I post this question in the wrong place. I have a column A with names. For each name, I have a column B, it figures stand between 3 and 10 (eg 3.3 5.4 6.3 7.7). In a column C is then another number, which ranges from a "0" to " 60". Now I want to find out what is the minimum value in column B, but only, where the value in column C between 30 and 45. Does anyone happen to know how I have to type this in Excel? I've already found a lot on the Internet, but none of the suggestions there exactly "fit" to my problem ... I use Excel 2010. • Visual Studio - Project with that name already opened in the solution

  I recently migrated a VSS database to TFS 2008. Using Source Control Explorer, I got the latest version of a solution with 12 projects. When I opened the solution in VS 2005, two of the projects were not found. I am not sure why these two projects were not found, but thought it easiest to just delete and re-add them to the solution. When I do this, VS gives me a "A project with that name is already open in the solution." The project doesn't appear in solution explorer, and is not listed in the .sln file. Any ideas?

  I've got a problem where incoming SOAP messages from one particular client are being marked as invalid and rejected by our XML firewall device. It appears extra payload data is being inserted by Visual Studio; we're thinking the extra data may be causing a problem b/c we're seeing "VsDebuggerCausalityData" in these messages but not in others sent from a different client who is not having a problem. It's a starting point, anyway. The question I have is how can the client remove this extra data and still run from VS? Why is VS putting it in there at all? Thanks.

  Hello, first time here... great site Well, I want to reference a web service, and it requires user/pass authentication. In VS 2008, if I try to "add reference", or "add service reference", all I can type is the URL, there's no way to input my credentials. Obviously, if I try to load the ws, it shows me a nice message: "The request failed with HTTP status 403: Forbidden. Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Anonymous'. The authentication header received from the server was 'Basic realm="weblogic"'. The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized." So my question is: Is it possible (using VS 2008) to add a reference to a web service that is protected? How? Any help is kindly appreciated. Thanks!

  i have a C++ application compiled with VS 2008 with pdb file enabled. After i tried to use dv command to display local vars, it shows the following message: Unable to enumerate locals, HRESULT0x80004005 Private symbols (symbols.pri) are required for locals. Type ".hh dbgerr005" for details. Note that: i've run the "dv" command on the correct frame which has the symbol file. i can use "dt" command successfully. i've included the symbol path and the pdb file has been loaded successfully as following: start end module name 00400000 0043f000 helloworld (private pdb symbols) c:\test... Does anyone know the cause? Is there any configuration i missed to enable local var watch? Or VS 2008 pdb is not supported by windbg (i'm using the latest windbg version)?

  Hello, I'm trying to try the POCO library. I downloaded the zip file, and opened the vs solution file named "Net_vs90.sln" on VS 2008. When I try to build the solution, I get this ugly error: bla bla bla.... 1Linking... 1LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'PocoFoundationd.lib' bla bla bla.... Linking... 2LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'CppUnitd.lib' I'm surprised, because I haven't done any changes to the code or configurations. What could be the reason?

  I am rebuilding my development machine. This issue is not new to me, but I don't remember the solution. I started with VS 2008 Pro, then SQL 2008 Developer, then the SQL SP1, then VS SP1.
