• Shifting from XNA/C# to C++?

  For a while now, I've been working with XNA for game design and development (although only for personal use ATM.) Overall, I'm a major fan of XNA itself, and it's overall "feel." However, due to the fact that: XNA seems to have a lack of support (no Metro support, no updates since 2010, etc.) I plan to try and get a job in the game development industry, and due to C++'s dominance, being more familiar with it would be very useful XNA only supports Windows (non-Metro) and Xbox 360, while I am interested in Mac and (to a lesser extent) Linux support. I've been trying to shift over to C++ as my main language. However, I do not want to focus on learning raw DirectX/C++ at this time, so I've been looking for a higher level C++ API (something about the same level as XNA, although something a bit more low-level would be fine) with a feel similar to XNA. So, for someone switching from C#/XNA to C++, what would my best choice(s) be for API's similar to XNA, although unmanaged and running on C++?

I not know what is means of it. maybe it’s trick microsoft use to make their software popular. but sometime it’s give bad impression to user. On 2009 Microsoft put a widget [ countdown ] widget for launching Visual studio 2010. who used by many MSDN blogger. Somasagar are one of them who put the widget on their blog that show “How much time after Visual studio goes released”. but after post ponding the date I not know where widget was gone. site are down who provide the widget. they use same trick they postponed their  date 20 march to 12 April to release the Visual studio. well wait something more and next time never  believe that it’s really gone to release on certain date they show you on blog.

• Performance impact of the new mtmalloc memory allocator

  I wrote at a number of occasions (here or here), that it could be really beneficial to use a different memory allocator for highly-threaded workloads, as the standard allocator is well ... the standard, however not very effective as soon as many threads comes into play. I didn't wrote about this as it was in my phase of silence but there was some change in the allocator area, Solaris 10 got a revamped mtmalloc allocator in version Solaris 10 08/11 (as described in "libmtmalloc Improvements"). The new memory allocator was introduced to Solaris development by the PSARC case 2010/212. But what's the effect of this new allocator and how does it works? Rickey C. Weisner wrote a nice article with "How Memory Allocation Affects Performance in Multithreaded Programs" explaining the inner mechanism of various allocators but he also publishes test results comparing Hoard, mtmalloc, umem, new mtmalloc and the libc malloc. Really interesting read and a must for people running applications on servers with a high number of threads.

The solution involves a new .jar file, oracletheme.jar and following a few simple instructions.   SharePoint 2010 Training: more information Deciding on a new phone is so difficult. I currently use an iPhone4, and I am itching to upgrade to either iPhone5 or Lumia 920. The decision is difficult because a lot of my work depends on my communication device, and whatever I pick, I will be stuck with for 2 years. Here is how I see the two stacking up. iPhone 5 of course based on rumors so far. I didn’t even consider Android here because I don’t like Android as an OS. You can configure it as you wish. For Office 365 (SharePoint Online), the limit is 7GB per user. Number of items (documents and folders): You can sync up to 20,000 items in your SkyDrive (personal library). You can sync up to 5,000 items from other libraries, per library. In other words, you could sync 10 libraries (for example), with each library having up to 5000 items. Third, site limits: No fixed limits. It depends on your computer's resources.
