  I want to create a custom jsp tag. I want this tag to take a jsp file as a parameter, and in this jsp I want to write the whole logic of the tag. Let's say I want to pass a collection to a tag and then I would write code in jsp to iterate the collection and display it in . Why I want to do it - I really hate having out.print() in my code. Is something like this feasible? I remember doing something similar a while ago, I just forgot the details and my search doesn't seem to find relevant info - a link to a good implementation of the would be nice.

  I need to copy the item that user just added (for example. myresume.doc or financial.xls) with the metadata (doc lib obtains the columns from content type, ct obtains the columns from site colum) and copy the item with metadata in a folder called "NativeFile". Every doc library has this folder. I know itemadded can be used but then I heard itemadded fires before user have a chance to complete the metadata for the item they just added. What are my options? • How to detect unresolved symbol when creating a library ?

  Hello everyone, Under Solaris 10, I'm creating a library A.so that calls a function f() which is defined in library B.so. To compile the library A.so, I declare in my code f() as extern. Unfortunately, I "forgot" to declare in A's makefile that it has to link with B. However, "make A" causes no warning, no error, and the library A.so is created. Of course, when executing A's code, the call of f() crashes because it is undefined. Is there a way (linker option, code trick...) to make the compilation of library A fail ? How can I be sure that all symbols refered to in library A are defined at compile time ? Thanks for any suggestions.

• Using tab key to navigate google search results

  Google the phrase "Humans vs zombies" (just used for an example here, phrase doesn't matter). When you see the search results, put your fingers on the keyboard, and press tab until you get to the first result. It takes me over 10 tabs to get through the "images", "videos", "maps", "advanced search" and other links. (Do you get the same results?) How can I get it so pressing the tab key the first time takes me to the first link? I'm using FF 3.6. How might I be able to greasemonkey this?

  Let's have an example: A grails project, myproj, is deployed in Tomcat 6. It can be accessed anywhere thru this link: http://www.mycompany.com/myproj. Let's say we purchase another domain, http://newcompany.com, and we would like to point it to http://www.mycompany.com/myproj/url. If I go to http://newcompany.com/12345, it should be the same as doing http://www.mycompany.com/myproj/url/12345. Can anyone tell me if this is possible? • Python+Windows+GStreamer = Impossible (for me)?

  Hi :) essentially, my problem is, ater a long time searching, finding only this other question, i decided i was just going to ask my own... i am on windows 7 with python 2.6 and ossbuild GStreamer, but i am trying to get the python binding for it, and struggling. i have got gst-python from http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/src/gst-python/ but as my eyes and research tell me, it does not work in the setup.py way, and the other question has a link to a site that he says has a binary avaiable, which no longer does, http://www.gstreamer-winbuild.ylatuya.es/doku.php?id=download and even the sdk is gone, and ossbuild dont seem to have anything useful either. so essentially, my question is, can anyone tell me a method, however convoluted, of getting my setup so if i write a script for (py)gst, with an import gst it will work? not the best of explanations... im tired k? xxx :)

  I recently decided to host my styles.css and various scripts on Google Docs and link them into my website. I also have all my images hosted through Picasa so that they too will load much faster and consistently across users. My site has most of its traffic from Japan, Africa, and South America, so I assume there will be a performance boost for my users since my server is hosted in Hong Kong. I (in Canada) have measured my load times to be half of what they used to be. Basically it's a free CDN for my personal stuff. I'm not too sure about all of this yet, so here's my question: what are the caveats of this setup?

  I want my webpage to have two parts. The top part has a textbox. When the user types a URL into the textbox, the bottom part browses to the content of that URL. When the user clicks a link within the bottom part, the bottom part navigates to the new URL, and the textbox in the top part changes to the new URL. How can I do it? NOTE: This behavior is the same as in Google Translate (e.g. here), but without any translation.

• SQL Server adding a record record manually to a view

  I have a view which contains the data seen in the image below. The view is showing me how many working days are available in each month for the current financial year taking away any school/bank holidays. As the month of August has zero days available it has excluded this month from the view. As the total number of days available will always be zero for the month of August, then it seems acceptable to hardcode the SQL to always have 0 for August, and also an April-August record which will be the same as April-July.   I want to have some url for my infopath form and give that link to user instead of going to form library and click new...how is it possible? Also when I created Infopath form I have given some text fields and button, I don't want the Infopath services buttons(Save,save as...) how I cna remove those? I published my form into document library. I click new and fill information and submit its working fine but when I reopen it again and try to submit it ...its giving me error...that some rules are not correct ...the rules I have on submit button are submit to document library and close after submitting.Any idea how to resolve this.... • JQuery Autocomplete - Stop mouseover+Return submitting data

  I'm using JQuery Autocomplete (bassistance) and have run into a problem. If the mouse rolls over one of the autocomplete suggestions and the user hits the return key (rather than clicking to make selection), the form is submitted and goes to whatever link was rolled over at the time. This is a problem as people click in the textbox, and when typing their search, leave the pointer where the autocomplete popup appears. So when they hit enter, it doesn't do the search for whatever they typed in the box but whatever was highlighted in the autocomplete suggestions. Is there a way to stop this? Using Google as the functionality I'm after... So just to clarify - I want selections via mouse and keyboard to go to the same place, but if the UP or DOWN arrow has not been pressed (user not selected an autocomplete option via the keyword), dont go to the URL specified in the autosuggest - instead submit the form (traditional method without JQuery) based on what has been typed in the textbox. I hope I'm explaining this clearly? :S

  Is there any way to write a VS Add-In or something else that would allow me to be able to link files to an ASPX page in ASP.NET. My goal is to be able to have this extra file created with every ASPX page, and then use a custom MS Build Task to analyze those files and do some stuff. So for example, when I created "MyPage.aspx", I'd actually see these files on disk... • Including the functionality of a tool within another program?

  Hi there I would like to write an application, for my own interest, that graphically visualizes some network concepts. Basically I would like to show the output from tools like ping, traceroute and nmap. The most obvious approach seems to be to use pipes to call out to these tools from my C program, and process the information they return. However, I would like to avoid this heavy-handed approach if possible. My question is, is it possible to somehow link against these tools, or are there APIs that can be used to gain programatic access instead? If so, is this behavior available on a tool-by-tool basis only? One reason for wanting to do this is to keep everything in a single process / address space and to avoid dependance on these external tools. For example, if I wrote an iphone application, I would not be able to spawn processes to call out to the external tools themselves. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

There's this webpage where the tables are rendered from dynamic context (from multiple different datasources, and each of them uses a different layout to represent essentially the same real world concept). As a result, this table is binded to a bean, and it's columns/layout are generated from this bean.   I am observing a weird behavior when clicking links to my ASP.NET application in MS Word 2003 / 2007 document. I have IE8 installed. When I click a link in the document the request that is sent has the user-agent IE7(!?). A new session object is created. Right after that out of nowhere a second request appears this time having user-agent IE8. More over, when I click anything on the requested page, a new session object is once again created, so I cannot rely on anything that has been persisted in the session. Why is it like that?

• Shared library to minimise size of FLA file

  In a project we use large flash FLA file with lots of graphic assets, but the actual data that is changed is just in a few symbols. Sometimes it is not very efficient to transfer the whole FLA file that comes up to 20MB now. I was thinking about using Shared Libraries, but it seems that, even if you import external library, it still copies the whole assets into the destination file, but does not link it from external file. Consequently, size of the FLA file still remains the same. Is there any way to split FLA files into few separate in order to minimise size of the most frequently updated file and keep all unchanged data in another file?

  Looking for a simple example or link to a tutorial. Say I have a bunch of values stored in an array. I would like to create an image and update the image data from my array. Assume the array values are intensity data and will be updating a grayscale image. Assume the array values are between 0 and 255 -- or that I will convert it to that range. This is not for purposes of animation. Rather the image would be updated based on user interaction. This is something I know how to do well in Java, but am very new to iPhone programming. I've googled some information about CGImage and UIImage -- but am confused as to where to start. Any help would be appreciated.
