  • (Facebook) Tag fb:comment does not work when I put it in Static FBML.

    This tag allow user to post comments in my Static FBML and display these comments on their Wall. But for some cause, comments can not be displayed in users' Wall even they checked the box "Post comment to my Facebook profile". I don't know what was wrong with the code I really appreciate if you can help.   • How to access static members in a Velocity template?

    I'm not sure if there is a way to do this in Velocity or not: I have a User POJO which a property named Status, which looks like an enum (but it is not, since I am stuck on Java 1.4), the definition looks something like this: public class User { // default status to User private Status status = Status.USER; public void setStatus(Status status) { this.status = status; } public Status getStatus() { return status; } And Status is a static inner class: public static final class Status { private String statusString; private Status(String statusString) { this.statusString = statusString; } public final static Status USER = new Status("user"); public final static Status ADMIN = new Status("admin"); public final static Status STATUS_X = new Status("blah"); //.equals() and .hashCode() implemented as well } With this pattern, a user status can easily be tested in a conditional such as if(User.Status.ADMIN.equals(user.getStatus())) ... ... without having to reference any constants for the status ID, any magic numbers, etc. However, I can't figure out how to test these conditionals in my Velocity template with VTL. I'd like to just print a simple string based upon the user's status, such as: Welcome <b>${user.name}</b>! <br/> <br/> #if($user.status == com.company.blah.User.Status.USER) You are a regular user #elseif($user.status == com.company.blah.User.Status.ADMIN) You are an administrator #etc... #end But this throws an Exception that looks like org.apache.velocity.exception.ParseErrorException: Encountered "User" at webpages/include/dashboard.inc[line 10, column 21] Was expecting one of: "[" ... From the VTL User Guide, there is no mention of accessing a Java class/static member directly in VTL, it appears that the right hand side (RHS) of a conditional can only be a number literal, string literal, property reference, or method reference. So is there any way that I can access static Java properties/references in a Velocity template? I'm aware that as a workaround, I could embed the status ID or some other identifier as a reference in my controller (this is a web MVC application using Velocity as the View technology), but I strongly do not want to embed any magic numbers or constants in the view layer.

  • Zend Framework question (again) Do images, mp3s, scripts, etc, al just go in public folder?

    I guess these are all questions that everyone must just know, because I'm not seeing this in the documentation :-D I understand that the public folder is the folder that the world has access to. I know it is the case with the css folder, but in migrating a traditional php website over, will my /images folder, /js folder /mp3s, etc Will those all just also be public folders that will be accessed via the layout or view.phtml pages?     Hi all I have a Django app which, submitting a package, should return values that are inside it.. Submitted the form to a view called "insert": request.FILES['file'] returns the file objects, but it is of kind < InMemoryUploadedFile. What i need is a way to get the absolute path of the uploaded file, so that i can feed it to a method that will return the values needed Anyone know how i can accomplish this? Thanks

  • What are your biggest complaints about Sharepoint?

    I'm looking into using SharePoint (WSS 3.0, specifically) for the document library and discussion board functionalities. I'd like to ask those of you who have experience in SP (MOSS or WSS, since we might upgrade in the future) for a list of the items that ticked you off or required a difficult workaround.     We have a C-code project written for a Linux environment but we also want the ability to view and edit the code on Eclipse for Windows and have the headers be resolved. The problem we are facing is that a lot of the headers are included with absolute paths in the Linux format such as: #include /path/to/custom/header.h What I would like to be able to do is have Eclipse CDT map /path/to/custom/ to C:\path\to\custom. Is this possible?

  • iPhone - Tweak the UINavigationController to show a UINavigationBar made into IB

    Hello, I've build a UINavigationBar into Interface Builder, and I have a NavigationController into my app. I'd like to make the one use the other to work. Just to manage the bar into IB and let the controller use it as its view (and adding by itself the Back button if needed), or in another way to do the same thing, let the NavBar use the navcontroller to adjust its display. Do you see a way to do this ? If not, I really don't see the use of the NavigationBar proposed into IB.

    Hello, It's there an existing application to visualize IIS 7.0 failed request log ? I know you can use IE to analyse the xml log file, and we get a visual generate by the xsl file, but my xml log file have 97 MO and the IE performance is not got. I cannot view the performance log, because i beleive there a javascript error generated. Thanks
