  Hi all, I have set up AuthLogic almost exactly as per the AuthLogic example app at http://github.com/binarylogic/authlogic_example. After someone logs in as User, they can click on links that send them away into the system and away from the users controller. This is an incredibly noob question, but how can I access that User's ID and other attributes from anywhere else, such as an unrelated view or unrelated controller? • Is there a tool out there that lets you print a colour chart / palette of colours used on a web page

  I want to print a table of the colours used in a web page that my graphic designer has produced - I have .png files at present and use Fireworks to view them. It would be great if there was a tool that lets you print a table with the colour and hex value so I can easily reference when programming. Anyone come across such a thing? Sounds to me like there should be a firefox extension or similar?

  Is it possible to set Alpha to .75 or .50 (transparent) for Parent view but the Child views/controls are opaque (Alpha channel 1.0 - completely visible). Whenever i set Alpha of my main UIView to transparent, all the child views/controls are also shown as transparent. Is there any workaround?

  I was attempting to install an exe that requires a serial number before the install, which the vendor has not provided to us yet. This got my wheels turning about whether there is any information that can be gained from viewing an exe using a hex editor/VI/etc? Using VI to view an exe, I can see some sections of plain text, but it is difficult to determine what it refers to without any context around it. Is it possible to determine any information by reading an exe? Thanks

When you right click and select view source in a page that is generated by JavaScript (e.g using GWT) you do not see the dynamically generated HTML. I suppose that if a search engine also cannot see the generated HTML then there is not much to index, right?

  I don't have a physical Android device to work with, so all I can use is the emulator. I'm wondering if there's something I could use to make the IO speeds more realistic - How do I slow down disk access to the speed it would be on a physical device? Also, this may be unrelated, but when I change the speed and latency options in Eclipse ADT DDMS view, I don't notice any change in internet speed on the emulator. Is this a bug?
