  • MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver UTF-8 encoding

    Currently I am migrating MSSQL to MYSQL.I am using the MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver to connect to mysql using odbc connectivity.I have telugu language charectors stored in the table.They are not showing properly while using the mysql odbc driver, but they are showing up properly while using the sqlserver odbc driver. Here is my connetion string Driver={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver};Server=localhost;Database=dbtest; User=user1;Password=mysql;Option=3;CharSet=utf8; Please suggest a solution to fix this.

  • delete a file in protected mode env(like windows xp)

    hi I write a program to delete a file from somewhere of my harddisk in 8086 but when i use int 21h (ah=41h) an error happens and carry set to 1.and I cannot delete that. does anyone know what can I do? I think it should be from protected mode which does not allow my program to delete another file.I want the answer and language is not matter.

    I'm using Delphi 7, totally new to database programming, and need ODBC. I am told that ADOExpress is a good way to go, and that seems fair enough as it comes with Delphi 7.     The JFileChooser don't provide support for my language, I'd translate strings defined in the file http://www.rgagnon.com/javadetails/JavaUIDefaults.txt with the UIManager.put(), but I'm not finding the popup strings ("view", "refresh" and "new folder" options when you right-click). Does anyone know where can I find them to translate?

  • Horrible VMware keyboard shortcuts

    Hello, I'm a VMware user and far too often I use keyboard shortcuts while programming. However, this has proved to be quite distressing as sometimes the VMware gets hold of it and turns off / pauses (ctrl+Z) the virtual machine. Is there a way to disable keyboard shortcuts on VMware? Has anyone here ever found a workaround?

    MVC is used a number of popular frameworks. To name just a few, Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET MVC, Monorail, Spring MVC. Are there any equivalent frameworks using any variant of MVP? Most of the examples I've found online seem to be custom implementations of the pattern rather than reusable frameworks. Suggestions need not be specific to any particular programming language, my interest is mostly academic.

    What open source (preferably gem-based) parser-generator options do I have in Ruby? I've used (flex&bison)|(lex&yacc) from C in the past, and I'm comfortable with BNF-style specifications. I've heard of treetop, but it looks a bit alien and verbose compared to yacc... Purpose: I want to convert my text markup language to a BNF and generate the parsing code.
