  • Using "route add" to tell my computer to use a direct ethernet connexion instead of wifi ?

    - by TheSamFrom1984
    2 PCs are involved. Both are connected to the internet via Wifi on the same router. I can ping to/from each other and share folders flawlessly, but I'd like to be able to set a direct Ethernet link between them to speed up file transfers AND keep the Wifi connections (no gateway). So I plugged my RJ45 cable, and set up the connection. It works, but the PCs are only using this connection if one of them if disconnected from the Wifi. PC1 local address is 192.168.0.7 on its ethernet interface, and 192.168.1.21 on the wifi one. PC2 local address is 192.168.0.6 on its ethernet interface, and 192.168.1.22 on the wifi one. My question is : I'd like to using the route add command to tell PC1 to use the Ethernet interface when it needs to connect with PC2, by specifying "IF 2" at the end of the route add command. How can I do this ? I don't know what to put in the "gateway" parameter of the command, and everything I tried returns "the parameter is incorrect" (i don't know which one). ipconfig /all on PC1 : Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Sam-PC Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : NETGEAR WG111v3 54Mbps Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-22-3F-DA-51-56 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::1d33:60b:476c:d396%12(Preferred) IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.21(Preferred) Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : vendredi 27 novembre 2009 15:38:48 Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : dimanche 29 novembre 2009 07:33:04 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 301998655 DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-12-7E-58-EA-00-1A-4D-59-B2-71 DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-1A-4D-59-B2-71 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::f598:c3a0:df8d:706e%11(Preferred) IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.7(Preferred) Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 234887757 DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-12-7E-58-EA-00-1A-4D-59-B2-71 DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : fec0:0:0:ffff::1%1 fec0:0:0:ffff::2%1 fec0:0:0:ffff::3%1 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled

  • Unstable DNS with bind

    - by yasser abd
    we have a Centos machine called jupiter, on which I have installed bind9, On every other machine the DNS is set to be the IP address of jupiter (192.168.2.101), as you can see in the output of the following command in windows >ipconfig /all Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : mypcs Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-1A-A0-AC-E4-CC DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::c16d:3ae4:5907:30c4%8(Preferred) IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.98(Preferred) Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : Thursday, September 20, 2012 10:26:11 AM Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : Sunday, September 23, 2012 10:26:10 AM Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1 DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1 DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 201333408 DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-16-3A-50-01-00-1A-A0-AC-E4-CC DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.101 192.168.2.1 192.168.2.1 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled All machines can always nslookup one of the domain (mydomain.com) that is set in the jupiter's DNS server, you can see that in the output of nslookup on the same windows machine: >nslookup mydomain.com Server: UnKnown Address: 192.168.2.101 Name: mydomain.com Address: 192.168.2.100 The problem is, sometimes mydomain.com can not be pinged, here is the output of the ping on the same windows machine >ping mydomain.com Ping request could not find host mydomain.com. Please check the name and try again. This looks very random, and happens once in a while, so the machine can lookup the DNS records but can't ping it, nor can browse the website that is hosted on mydomain.com, which should resolve to 192.168.2.100 On a linux machine that has the same DNS settings, the output of dig command for mydomain is as follows: $ dig mydomain.com ; <<>> DiG 9.8.2rc1-RedHat-9.8.2-0.10.rc1.el6_3.2 <<>> mydomain.com ;; global options: +cmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 36090 ;; flags: qr aa rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 1, ADDITIONAL: 1 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;mydomain.com. ( 2003052800 ; serial 86400 ; refresh 300 ; retry 604800 ; expire 3600 ; minimum ) @ IN NS jupiter. @ IN A 192.168.2.100 * IN A 192.168.2.100 /var/named/zones/named.venus.zone zone "mydomain.com" IN {type master;file "/var/named/named.venus";allow-update {none;};}; One thing to note is that I haven't defined reverse DNS lookups, only the forward DNS lookups are defined in Bind9 configs, not sure if that's relevant or not. So my question is, why is this being so unstable? what could be the cause?

  • How does Windows 7 DNS client work?

    - by Mark Allison
    I am using a local DHCP and DNS server on my home network on a linux machine. It is running CentOS 6.3 with dnsmasq 2.48. It's all working fine except for local DNS lookups for Windows machines only. I have a mix of Ubuntu, CentOS and Windows machines on the network, some virtual, some physical. I have a machine called boron and the domain is called localdomain If I ping boron from any linux machine, I get [root@lithium lists]# ping -c3 boron PING boron.localdomain (10.0.0.5) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from boron.localdomain (10.0.0.5): icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.740 ms 64 bytes from boron.localdomain (10.0.0.5): icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.478 ms 64 bytes from boron.localdomain (10.0.0.5): icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.458 ms --- boron.localdomain ping statistics --- 3 packets transmitted, 3 received, 0% packet loss, time 2000ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.458/0.558/0.740/0.131 ms If I do it from my Windows 7 machine, I get: Ping request could not find host boron. Please check the name and try again. If I try ping boron.localdomain I get: Pinging boron.localdomain [67.215.65.132] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 67.215.65.132: bytes=32 time=16ms TTL=57 Reply from 67.215.65.132: bytes=32 time=188ms TTL=57 Reply from 67.215.65.132: bytes=32 time=15ms TTL=57 Reply from 67.215.65.132: bytes=32 time=14ms TTL=57 Ping statistics for 67.215.65.132: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 14ms, Maximum = 188ms, Average = 58ms which is clearly wrong. Why is it going out to the internet? Why can't my windows machine resolve the boron hostname to a FQDN? My Windows machines and linux machines get their network config from DHCP. UPDATE If I do ipconfig /all in Windows, it looks as I would expect: Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : lanthanum Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : .localdomain Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : .localdomain Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 50-E5-49-38-FC-A2 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.57(Preferred) Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 23 August 2012 13:58:45 Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 24 August 2012 07:58:48 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.6 DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.6 DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.6 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled When I do an nslookup I get: Server: carbon.localdomain Address: 10.0.0.6 *** carbon.localdomain can't find boron: Unspecified error However if I do ifconfig -a in Linux I get: [root@nitrogen ~]# ifconfig -a eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0C:29:AF:EC:2A inet addr:10.0.0.7 Bcast:10.0.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:187687 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:5857 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:23910700 (22.8 MiB) TX bytes:712964 (696.2 KiB) lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:329894 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:329894 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:67153143 (64.0 MiB) TX bytes:67153143 (64.0 MiB) and nslookup: [root@nitrogen ~]# nslookup boron Server: 10.0.0.6 Address: 10.0.0.6#53 Name: boron Address: 10.0.0.5 Both machines are on the same network using the same DHCP server. It would be nice to get DNS working with the DNS client on, but I might be OK without it, what do you think?

  • WiFi & GbE Slow while Both Active.

    - by Mark Tomlin
    I'm having a problem with my WiFi network connection when I use my wired GbE connection concurrently on my Laptop. I'm using my WiFi for Internet access, and general web surfing and I'm using my GbE connection to connect to my PlayStation so I can stream media. The WiFi connection is via a Linksys 610N connected to my Cable Modem. Where as the GbE connection is a direct connection from my Ethernet port to the Ethernet port of the PS3 via a Cat-5 cable (no router in between this connection). As soon as I connect the cable from the PS3 to my Ethernet port on my Laptop the WiFi connection slows to a halt, but then allows for a connection to the web as normal but at much slower speeds for the things like BitTorrent that stops completely. It seems to me that Windows can't handle both connections at once. It will have both active but it can only accept and send packets on one device at one time. I can get WiFi connections to work to go to websites and the like, but once I use my GbE connection to share media between my Laptop and my PS3 the Wifi connection dies out and I no longer have access to the internet. I setup my connection on the PS3 and the Laptop following the insturctions posted here: http://forums.finalgear.com/problems/s14e01-ps3-size-problem-40642/#post1188132 And the following is the results of my ipconfig. • network routing between mac & virtual XP

    - by Kevin
    Hi - I have a max laptop running XP inside VirtualBox. The network is setup to be a "Bridged Adapter" so that the IPs for both the host & guest OS's are assigned by my wireless routed. My guest XP has Nortel VPN connecting to corporate lan. When this is connected, I want to allow my host Mac OS to access the corporate network. But I'm struggling. Without Nortel VPN running, I can change routing on the mac so all traffic is sent via the guest XP - this works. But once I activate the VPN, this no longer works. If I try to change the routing on mac to run through the IP address assigned to the Nortel adapter, I get a "Network is unreachable" error. Below is the output from ipconfig /all on the guest XP OS. I'm beginning to believe that what I want to do is not possible because of the way Nortel secure the VPN - but before I give up I thought I'd post the problem here. • Can't ping localhost/or reach locally hosted domain

    - by Ian
    I can't reach a locally hosted domain, and in testing I have discovered I can't ping localhost or the actual IP either. OS is Windows7 64bit, Pro. DNS works, I can ping others on my network, they can ping me, and they can reach the hosted domain. The ONLY problem I have found is that I can't reach the locally hosted domains! • connecting to a network using route command

    - by ami
    I have a computer with an external IP(192.168.223.220) and also an internal address (10.1.1.20) in order to connect to some servers that don't have external addresses only 10.1.1.xx . in order to connect to these servers from other machines I used the following command "route ADD 10.1.1.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 192.168.223.220" and than I was able to connect to the servers using there 10.1.1.xx address. The problem is that the hard disk of main server(192.168.223.220) died and was replaced and after the that I am not able to connect to the servers as before, the route command succeeds and I can ping 10.1.1.20 but not the other servers. • CSS import or multiple CSS files

    - by David H
    I originally wanted to include a .css in my HTML doc that loads multiple other .css files in order to divide up some chunks of code for development purposes. I have created a test page: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title>The Recipe Site</title> <link rel='stylesheet' href='/css/main.css'> <link rel='stylesheet' href='/css/site_header.css'> <!-- Let google host jQuery for us, maybeb replace with their api --> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/main.js"></script> </head> <body> <div id="site_container"> <div id="site_header"><?php include_once($r->base_dir . "inc/site_header.inc.php"); ?><!-- Include File, Update on ajax request. --></div> <div id="site_content"> Some main content. </div> <div id="site_footer"><?php include_once($r->base_dir . "inc/site_footer.inc.php"); ?><!-- Include File, Update on ajax request. --></div> </div> </body> </html> File: /css/main.css /* Reset Default Padding & Margin */ * { margin: 0; padding: 0; border: 0; } /* Set Our Float Classes */ .clear { clear: both; } .right { float: right; } .left { float: left; } /* Setup the main body/site container */ body { background: url(/images/wallpaper.png) repeat; color: #000000; text-align: center; font: 62.5%/1.5 "Lucida Grande", "Lucida Sans", Tahoma, Verdana, sans-serif; } site_container { background-color: #FFFFFF; height: 100%; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: left; width: 100%; } /* Some style sheet includes / / @import "/css/site_header.css"; */ /* Default Font Sizes */ h1 { font-size: 2.2em; } h2 { font-size: 2.0em; } h3 { font-size: 1.8em; } h4 { font-size: 1.6em; } h5 { font-size: 1.4em; } p { font-size: 1.2em; } /* Default Form Layout */ input.text { padding: 3px; border: 1px solid #999999; } /* Default Table Reset */ table { border-spacing: 0; border-collapse: collapse; } td{ text-align: left; font-weight: normal; } /* Cause not all browsers know what HTML5 is... */ header { display:block;} footer { display:block;} and now the file: /css/site_header.css: site_header { background-color: #c0c0c0; height: 100px; position: absolute; top: 100px; width: 100%; } Problem: When I use the above code, the site_header div does not have any formatting/background. When I remove the link line from the HTML doc for site_header.css and instead use an @import url("/css/site_header.css"); in my main.css file, the same results -- nothing gets rendered for for the same div. Now when I take the CSS markup from site_header.css and add it to main.css, the div gets rendered fine... So I am wondering if having multiple css files is somehow not working... or maybe having that css markup at the end of my previous css is somehow conflicting, though I cannot find a reason why it would.

  • activemq-maven-plugin ignore files in classpath?

    - by Oscar Chan
    I have been trying to get activemq-maven-plugin to run activemq with configuration in classpath of the bundle. However, I don't have much luck. It seems that the activemq-maven-plugin just ignore resources (resources/main/conf/activemq.properties) the local bundle. I checked the jar and target/classes and they are built into the right local. I am able to get plugin to run (mvn activemq:run) if I take out the PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer bean in the activemq.xml Did I do anything wrong? • Loading FireMonkey style resourses with RTTI

    - by HeMet
    I am trying to write class that inherits from FMX TStyledControl. When style is updated it loads style resource objects to cache. I created project group for package with custom controls and test FMX HD project as it describes in Delphi help. • JAX-WS MarshalException with custom JAX-B bindings: Unable to marshal type "java.lang.String" as an

    - by MoneyMark
    I seem to be having an issue with Jax-WS and Jax-b playing nicely together. I need to consume a web-service, which has a predefined WSDL. When executing the generated client I am receiving the following error: javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: javax.xml.bind.MarshalException - with linked exception: [com.sun.istack.SAXException2: unable to marshal type "java.lang.String" as an element because it is missing an @XmlRootElement annotation] This started occurring when I used an external custom binding file to map needlessly complex types to java.lang.string. Here is an excerpt from my binding file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <bindings xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jaxb" version="2.0" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:xjc="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jaxb/xjc"> <bindings schemaLocation="http://localhost:7777/GESOR/services/RegistryUpdatePort?wsdl#types?schema1" node="/xs:schema"> <bindings node="//xs:element[@name='StwrdCompany']//xs:complexType//xs:sequence//xs:element[@name='company_name']"> <property> <baseType name="java.lang.String" /> </property> </bindings> <bindings node="//xs:element[@name='StwrdCompany']//xs:complexType//xs:sequence//xs:element[@name='address1']"> <property> <baseType name="java.lang.String" /> </property> </bindings> <bindings node="//xs:element[@name='StwrdCompany']//xs:complexType//xs:sequence//xs:element[@name='address2']"> <property> <baseType name="java.lang.String" /> </property> </bindings> ...more fields </bindings> </bindings> When executing wsimport against the provided WSDL, StwrdCompany is generated with the following variables declared: @XmlRootElement(name = "StwrdCompany") public class StwrdCompany { @XmlElementRef(name = "company_name", type = JAXBElement.class) protected String companyName; @XmlElementRef(name = "address1", type = JAXBElement.class) protected String address1; @XmlElementRef(name = "address2", type = JAXBElement.class) ... more fields ... getters/setters @XmlAccessorType(XmlAccessType.FIELD) @XmlType(name = "", propOrder = { "value" }) public static class CompanyName { @XmlValue protected String value; @XmlAttribute protected Boolean updateToNULL; /** * Gets the value of the value property. * * @return * possible object is * {@link String } * */ public String getValue() { return value; } /** * Sets the value of the value property. * * @param value * allowed object is * {@link String } * */ public void setValue(String value) { this.value = value; } /** * Gets the value of the updateToNULL property. * * @return * possible object is * {@link Boolean } * */ public boolean isUpdateToNULL() { if (updateToNULL == null) { return false; } else { return updateToNULL; } } /** * Sets the value of the updateToNULL property. * * @param value * allowed object is * {@link Boolean } * */ public void setUpdateToNULL(Boolean value) { this.updateToNULL = value; } ... more inner classes } } Finally, here is the associated snippet from the WSDL that seems to be causing such grief. <xs:element name="StwrdCompany"> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <xs:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0" name="company_name" nillable="true"> <xs:complexType> <xs:simpleContent> <xs:extension base="xs:string"> <xs:attribute default="false" name="updateToNULL" type="xs:boolean"/> </xs:extension> </xs:simpleContent> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> <xs:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0" name="address1" nillable="true"> <xs:complexType> <xs:simpleContent> <xs:extension base="xs:string"> <xs:attribute default="false" name="updateToNULL" type="xs:boolean"/> </xs:extension> </xs:simpleContent> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> ... more fields in the same format <xs:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0" name="p_source_timestamp" nillable="false" type="xs:string"/> </xs:sequence> <xs:attribute name="company_xid" type="xs:string"/> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> The reason for the custom binding is so I can map user input from a pojo into the StwrdCompany object more easily, whether it be direct instantiation or through the use of Dozer for bean mapping. I was unable to successfully map between the objects without the custom binding. Finally, one other thing I tried was setting a globalBinding definition: <globalBindings generateValueClass="false"></globalBindings> This caused the server to through an argument mismatch exception since the Soap Message was using xs:string xml types instead of passing the defined complex types, so I abandoned that idea. Any insight into what is causing the MarshalException or how to go about solving the issue of calling the webservice and mapping these objects more easily, is greatly appreciated. I've been searching for days and I sadly think I am stumped.

  • Instruments memory leak iphone

    - by dubbeat
    Hi, I posted this problem a few days ago but it was very muddled and my question wasnt very clear so I removed it. I've been digging around and the memory leak is still persiting. Hopefully this attempt will be clearer. First off I've run the static analyzer and it reports no memory leaks. I then ran Instruments and it pointed to a memory leak at this line of code. As far as I can see there is no memory leak. featured=[[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(130,15, 200, 15)]; //[featured setFont:[UIFont UIFontboldSystemFontOfSize:20]]; featured.font = [UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:20]; featured.backgroundColor= [UIColor clearColor]; featured.textColor=[UIColor blackColor]; featured.text= @"Featured Promo"; [self.view addSubview:featured]; [featured release]; featured=nil; If I comment out the above code Instruments reports another memory leak in another block of code where there is no discernible leak. UIButton *populartbutton = [[UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeRoundedRect]]; populartbutton.frame = CGRectMake(112, 145, 90, 22); // size and position of button [populartbutton setTitle:@"Popular" forState:UIControlStateNormal]; populartbutton.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; populartbutton.adjustsImageWhenHighlighted = YES; [populartbutton addTarget:self action:@selector(getpopular:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; [self.view addSubview:populartbutton]; Instruments also says Responsible Library = Core Graphics Responsible Frame = open_handle_to_dylib_path This Is the stack trace. 53 Promo start 52 Promo main /Users/..2/main.m:14 51 UIKit UIApplicationMain 50 UIKit -[UIApplication _run] 49 CoreFoundation CFRunLoopRunInMode 48 CoreFoundation CFRunLoopRunSpecific 47 GraphicsServices PurpleEventCallback 46 UIKit _UIApplicationHandleEvent 45 UIKit -[UIApplication sendEvent:] 44 UIKit -[UIApplication handleEvent:withNewEvent:] 43 UIKit -[UIApplication _reportAppLaunchFinished] 42 QuartzCore CA::Transaction::commit() 41 QuartzCore CA::Context::commit_transaction(CA::Transaction*) 40 QuartzCore CALayerLayoutIfNeeded 39 QuartzCore -[CALayer layoutSublayers] 38 UIKit -[UILayoutContainerView layoutSubviews] 37 UIKit -[UINavigationController _startDeferredTransitionIfNeeded] 36 UIKit -[UINavigationController _startTransition:fromViewController:toViewController:] 35 UIKit -[UINavigationController _layoutViewController:] 34 UIKit -[UINavigationController_computeAndApplyScrollContentInsetDeltaForViewController:] 33 UIKit -[UIViewController contentScrollView] 32 UIKit -[UIViewController view] 31 Promo -[FeaturedLevelViewController viewDidLoad] /Users/..s/FeaturedLevelViewController.m:67 // THIS IS MY CLASS WHERE THE CODE SAMPLES ABOVE ARE FROM 30 UIKit -[UILabel initWithFrame:] 29 UIKit -[UILabel _commonInit] 28 UIKit +[UILabel defaultFont] 27 UIKit +[UIFont systemFontOfSize:] 26 GraphicsServices GSFontCreateWithName 25 CoreGraphics CGFontCreateWithName 24 CoreGraphics CGFontCreateWithFontName 23 CoreGraphics CGFontFinderGetDefault 22 CoreGraphics CGFontGetVTable 21 libSystem.B.dylib pthread_once 20 CoreGraphics load_vtable 19 CoreGraphics load_library 18 CoreGraphics CGLibraryLoadFunction 17 CoreGraphics load_function 16 CoreGraphics open_handle_to_dylib_path 15 libSystem.B.dylib dlopen 14 dyld dlopen 13 dyld dyld::link(ImageLoader*, bool, ImageLoader::RPathChain const&) 12 dyld ImageLoader::link(ImageLoader::LinkContext const&, bool, bool, ImageLoader::RPathChain const&) 11 dyld ImageLoader::recursiveLoadLibraries(ImageLoader::LinkContext const&, bool, ImageLoader::RPathChain const&) 10 dyld dyld::libraryLocator(char const*, bool, char const*, ImageLoader::RPathChain const*) 9 dyld dyld::load(char const*, dyld::LoadContext const&) 8 dyld dyld::loadPhase0(char const*, dyld::LoadContext const&, std::vector<char const*, std::allocator<char const*> >*) 7 dyld dyld::loadPhase1(char const*, dyld::LoadContext const&, std::vector<char const*, std::allocator<char const*> >*) 6 dyld dyld::loadPhase3(char const*, dyld::LoadContext const&, std::vector<char const*, std::allocator<char const*> >*) 5 dyld dyld::loadPhase4(char const*, dyld::LoadContext const&, std::vector<char const*, std::allocator<char const*> >*) 4 dyld dyld::loadPhase5(char const*, dyld::LoadContext const&, std::vector<char const*, std::allocator<char const*> >*) 3 dyld dyld::mkstringf(char const*, ...) 2 dyld strdup 1 dyld malloc 0 libSystem.B.dylib malloc I'm really not too sure how to use this information to fix the problem so any guidance would be appreciated. • Databind gridview with LINQ

    - by Anders Svensson
    I have two database tables, one for Users of a web site, containing the fields "UserID", "Name" and the foreign key "PageID". And the other with the fields "PageID" (here the primary key), and "Url". I want to be able to show the data in a gridview with data from both tables, and I'd like to do it with databinding in the aspx page. I'm not sure how to do this, though, and I can't find any good examples of this particular situation. Here's what I have so far: <%@ Page Title="Home Page" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Site.master" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="LinqBinding._Default" %> <asp:Content ID="HeaderContent" runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="HeadContent"> </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="BodyContent" runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent"> <h2> Testing LINQ </h2> <asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" DataSourceID="LinqDataSourceUsers" AutoGenerateColumns="false"> <Columns> <asp:CommandField ShowSelectButton="True" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="UserID" HeaderText="UserID" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="Name" HeaderText="Name" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="PageID" HeaderText="PageID" /> <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Pages"> <ItemTemplate <asp:DropDownList ID="DropDownList1" DataSourceID="LinqDataSourcePages" SelectedValue='<%#Bind("PageID") %>' DataTextField="Url" DataValueField="PageID" runat="server"> </asp:DropDownList> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> </Columns> </asp:GridView> <asp:LinqDataSource ID="LinqDataSourcePages" runat="server" ContextTypeName="LinqBinding.UserDataContext" EntityTypeName="" TableName="Pages"> </asp:LinqDataSource> <asp:LinqDataSource ID="LinqDataSourceUsers" runat="server" ContextTypeName="LinqBinding.UserDataContext" EntityTypeName="" TableName="Users"> </asp:LinqDataSource> </asp:Content> But this only works in so far as it gets the user table into the gridview (that's not a problem), and I get the page data into the dropdown, but here's the problem: I of course get ALL the page data in there, not just the pages for each user on each row. So how do I put some sort of "where" constraint on dropdown for each row to only show the pages for the user in that row? (Also, to be honest I'm not sure I'm getting the foreign key relationship right, because I'm not too used to working with relationships). EDIT: I think I have set up the relationship incorrectly. I keep getting the message that "Pages" doesn't exist as a property on the User object. And I guess it can't since the relationship right now is one way. So I tried to create a many-to-many relationship. Again, my database knowledge is a bit limited, but I added a so called "junction table" with the fields UserID and PageID, same as the other tables' primary keys. I wasn't able to make both of these primary keys in the junction table though (which it looked like some people had in examples I've seen...but since it wasn't possible I guessed they shouldn't be). Anyway, I created a relationship from each table and created new LINQ classes from that. But then what do I do? I set the junction table as the Linq data source, since I guessed I had to do this to access both tables, but that doesn't work. Then it complains there is no Name property on that object. So how do I access the related tables? Here's what I have now with the many-to-many relationship: <%@ Page Title="Home Page" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Site.master" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="ManyToMany._Default" %> <asp:Content ID="HeaderContent" runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="HeadContent"> </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="BodyContent" runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent"> <h2> Many to many LINQ </h2> <asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" DataSourceID="LinqDataSource1" AutoGenerateColumns="false"> <Columns> <asp:CommandField ShowSelectButton="True" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="UserID" HeaderText="UserID" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="Name" HeaderText="Name" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="PageID" HeaderText="PageID" /> <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Pages"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:DropDownList ID="DropDownList1" DataSource='<%#Eval("Pages") %>' SelectedValue='<%#Bind("PageID") %>' DataTextField="Url" DataValueField="PageID" runat="server"> </asp:DropDownList> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> </Columns> </asp:GridView> <asp:LinqDataSource ID="LinqDataSource1" runat="server" ContextTypeName="ManyToMany.UserPageDataContext" EntityTypeName="" TableName="UserPages"> </asp:LinqDataSource> </asp:Content>

  • SOLVED mwfeedparser integrating in my app gives EXC_BAD_ACCESS (code=1, address=0xa0040008)

    - by Pranoy C
    SOLVED- Got it! The problem was that since I am creating the DoParsingStuff *parseThisUrl object in the viewDidLoad method, it's scope was only within that method. So after the method finished, the object got deallocated. I changed it to an instance variable instead and now it works. It gives a different error but that it an entirely different issue. Issue was: I have been struggling with trying to integrate the mwfeedparser library in my app for parsing RSS and ATOM feeds. It throws a gives EXC_BAD_ACCESS error which I can't seem to troubleshoot. //My Class looks like - My interface looks like: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import "MWFeedParser.h" #import "NSString+HTML.h" @protocol ParseCompleted <NSObject> -(void)parsedArray:(NSMutableArray *)parsedArray; @end @interface DoParsingStuff : NSObject<MWFeedParserDelegate> @property (nonatomic,strong) NSMutableArray *parsedItems; @property (nonatomic, strong) NSArray *itemsToDisplay; @property (nonatomic,strong) MWFeedParser *feedParser; @property (nonatomic,strong) NSURL *feedurl; @property (nonatomic,strong) id <ParseCompleted> delegate; -(id)initWithFeedURL:(NSURL *)url; @end //And Implementaion: #import "DoParsingStuff.h" @implementation DoParsingStuff @synthesize parsedItems = _parsedItems; @synthesize itemsToDisplay = _itemsToDisplay; @synthesize feedParser = _feedParser; @synthesize feedurl=_feedurl; @synthesize delegate = _delegate; -(id)initWithFeedURL:(NSURL *)url{ if(self = [super init]){ _feedurl=url; _feedParser = [[MWFeedParser alloc] initWithFeedURL:_feedurl]; _feedParser.delegate=self; _feedParser.feedParseType=ParseTypeFull; _feedParser.connectionType=ConnectionTypeAsynchronously; } return self; } -(void)doParsing{ BOOL y = [_feedParser parse]; } # pragma mark - # pragma mark MWFeedParserDelegate - (void)feedParserDidStart:(MWFeedParser *)parser { //Just tells what url is being parsed e.g. http://www.wired.com/reviews/feeds/latestProductsRss NSLog(@"Started Parsing: %@", parser.url); } - (void)feedParser:(MWFeedParser *)parser didParseFeedInfo:(MWFeedInfo *)info { //What is the Feed about e.g. "Product Reviews" NSLog(@"Parsed Feed Info: “%@”", info.title); //self.title = info.title; } - (void)feedParser:(MWFeedParser *)parser didParseFeedItem:(MWFeedItem *)item { //Prints current element's title e.g. “An Arthropod for Your iDevices” NSLog(@"Parsed Feed Item: “%@”", item.title); if (item) [_parsedItems addObject:item]; } - (void)feedParserDidFinish:(MWFeedParser *)parser {//This is where you can do your own stuff with the parsed items NSLog(@"Finished Parsing%@", (parser.stopped ? @" (Stopped)" : @"")); [_delegate parsedArray:_parsedItems]; //[self updateTableWithParsedItems]; } - (void)feedParser:(MWFeedParser *)parser didFailWithError:(NSError *)error { NSLog(@"Finished Parsing With Error: %@", error); if (_parsedItems.count == 0) { //self.title = @"Failed"; // Show failed message in title } else { // Failed but some items parsed, so show and inform of error UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:@"Parsing Incomplete" message:@"There was an error during the parsing of this feed. Not all of the feed items could parsed." delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:@"Dismiss" otherButtonTitles:nil]; [alert show]; } //[self updateTableWithParsedItems]; } @end //I am calling this from my main viewcontroller as such: #import "DoParsingStuff.h" @interface ViewController : UIViewController <ParseCompleted> .... //And I have the following methods in my implementation: DoParsingStuff *parseThisUrl = [[DoParsingStuff alloc] initWithFeedURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://www.theverge.com/rss/index.xml"]]; parseThisUrl.delegate=self; [parseThisUrl doParsing]; I have the method defined here as- -(void)parsedArray:(NSMutableArray *)parsedArray{ NSLog(@"%@",parsedArray); } //I stepped through breakpoints- When I try to go through the breakpoints, I see that everything goes fine till the very last [parseThisUrl doParsing]; in my delegate class. After that it starts showing me memory registers where I get lost. I think it could be due to arc as I have disabled arc on the mwfeedparser files but am using arc in the above classes. If you need the entire project for this, let me know. I tried it with NSZombies enabled and got a bit more info out of it: -[DoParsingStuff respondsToSelector:]: message sent to deallocated instance 0x6a52480 I am not using release/autorelease/retain etc. in this class...but it is being used in the mwfeedparser library.

  • Uploadify Minimum Image Width And Height

    - by Richard Knop
    So I am using the Uplodify plugin to allow users to upload multiple images at once. The problem is I need to set a minimum width and height for images. Let's say 150x150px is the smallest image users can upload. How can I set this limitation in the Uploadify plugin? When user tries to upload smaller picture, I would like to display some error message as well. Here is the PHP file that is called bu the plugin to upload images: <?php define('BASE_PATH', substr(dirname(dirname(__FILE__)), 0, -22)); // set the include path set_include_path(BASE_PATH . '/../library' . PATH_SEPARATOR . BASE_PATH . '/library' . PATH_SEPARATOR . get_include_path()); // autoload classes from the library function __autoload($class) { include str_replace('_', '/', $class) . '.php'; } $configuration = new Zend_Config_Ini(BASE_PATH . '/application' . '/configs/application.ini', 'development'); $dbAdapter = Zend_Db::factory($configuration->database); Zend_Db_Table_Abstract::setDefaultAdapter($dbAdapter); function _getTable($table) { include BASE_PATH . '/application/modules/default/models/' . $table . '.php'; return new $table(); } $albums = _getTable('Albums'); $media = _getTable('Media'); if (false === empty($_FILES)) { $tempFile = $_FILES['Filedata']['tmp_name']; $extension = end(explode('.', $_FILES['Filedata']['name'])); // insert temporary row into the database $data = array(); $data['type'] = 'photo'; $data['type2'] = 'public'; $data['status'] = 'temporary'; $data['user_id'] = $_REQUEST['user_id']; $paths = $media->add($data, $extension, $dbAdapter); // save the photo move_uploaded_file($tempFile, BASE_PATH . '/public/' . $paths[0]); // create a thumbnail include BASE_PATH . '/library/My/PHPThumbnailer/ThumbLib.inc.php'; $thumb = PhpThumbFactory::create(BASE_PATH . '/public/' . $paths[0]); $thumb->adaptiveResize(85, 85); $thumb->save(BASE_PATH . '/public/' . $paths[1]); // add watermark to the bottom right corner $pathToFullImage = BASE_PATH . '/public/' . $paths[0]; $size = getimagesize($pathToFullImage); switch ($extension) { case 'gif': $im = imagecreatefromgif($pathToFullImage); break; case 'jpg': $im = imagecreatefromjpeg($pathToFullImage); break; case 'png': $im = imagecreatefrompng($pathToFullImage); break; } if (false !== $im) { $white = imagecolorallocate($im, 255, 255, 255); $font = BASE_PATH . '/public/fonts/arial.ttf'; imagefttext($im, 13, // font size 0, // angle $size[0] - 132, // x axis (top left is [0, 0]) $size[1] - 13, // y axis $white, $font, 'HunnyHive.com'); switch ($extension) { case 'gif': imagegif($im, $pathToFullImage); break; case 'jpg': imagejpeg($im, $pathToFullImage, 100); break; case 'png': imagepng($im, $pathToFullImage, 0); break; } imagedestroy($im); } echo "1"; } And here's the javascript: $(document).ready(function() { $('#photo').uploadify({ 'uploader' : '/flash-uploader/scripts/uploadify.swf', 'script' : '/flash-uploader/scripts/upload-public-photo.php', 'cancelImg' : '/flash-uploader/cancel.png', 'scriptData' : {'user_id' : 'USER_ID'}, 'queueID' : 'fileQueue', 'auto' : true, 'multi' : true, 'sizeLimit' : 2097152, 'fileExt' : '*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.gif;*.png', 'wmode' : 'transparent', 'onComplete' : function() { $.get('/my-account/temporary-public-photos', function(data) { $('#temporaryPhotos').html(data); }); } }); $('#upload_public_photo').hover(function() { var titles = '{'; $('.title').each(function() { var title = $(this).val(); if ('Title...' != title) { var id = $(this).attr('name'); id = id.substr(5); title = jQuery.trim(title); if (titles.length > 1) { titles += ','; } titles += '"' + id + '"' + ':"' + title + '"'; } }); titles += '}'; $('#titles').val(titles); }); }); Now bear in mind that I know how to check images dimensions in the PHP file. But I'm not sure how to modify the javascript so it won't upload images with very small dimensions.

  • What is the best way to provide an AutoMappingOverride for an interface in fluentnhibernate automapp

    - by Tom
    In my quest for a version-wide database filter for an application, I have written the following code: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using FluentNHibernate.Automapping; using FluentNHibernate.Automapping.Alterations; using FluentNHibernate.Mapping; using MvcExtensions.Model; using NHibernate; namespace MvcExtensions.Services.Impl.FluentNHibernate { public interface IVersionAware { string Version { get; set; } } public class VersionFilter : FilterDefinition { const string FILTERNAME = "MyVersionFilter"; const string COLUMNNAME = "Version"; public VersionFilter() { this.WithName(FILTERNAME) .WithCondition("Version = :"+COLUMNNAME) .AddParameter(COLUMNNAME, NHibernateUtil.String ); } public static void EnableVersionFilter(ISession session,string version) { session.EnableFilter(FILTERNAME).SetParameter(COLUMNNAME, version); } public static void DisableVersionFilter(ISession session) { session.DisableFilter(FILTERNAME); } } public class VersionAwareOverride : IAutoMappingOverride<IVersionAware> { #region IAutoMappingOverride<IVersionAware> Members public void Override(AutoMapping<IVersionAware> mapping) { mapping.ApplyFilter<VersionFilter>(); } #endregion } } But, since overrides do not work on interfaces, I am looking for a way to implement this. Currently I'm using this (rather cumbersome) way for each class that implements the interface : public class SomeVersionedEntity : IModelId, IVersionAware { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string Version { get; set; } } public class SomeVersionedEntityOverride : IAutoMappingOverride<SomeVersionedEntity> { #region IAutoMappingOverride<SomeVersionedEntity> Members public void Override(AutoMapping<SomeVersionedEntity> mapping) { mapping.ApplyFilter<VersionFilter>(); } #endregion } I have been looking at IClassmap interfaces etc, but they do not seem to provide a way to access the ApplyFilter method, so I have not got a clue here... Since I am probably not the first one who has this problem, I am quite sure that it should be possible; I am just not quite sure how this works.. EDIT : I have gotten a bit closer to a generic solution: This is the way I tried to solve it : Using a generic class to implement alterations to classes implementing an interface : public abstract class AutomappingInterfaceAlteration<I> : IAutoMappingAlteration { public void Alter(AutoPersistenceModel model) { model.OverrideAll(map => { var recordType = map.GetType().GetGenericArguments().Single(); if (typeof(I).IsAssignableFrom(recordType)) { this.GetType().GetMethod("overrideStuff").MakeGenericMethod(recordType).Invoke(this, new object[] { model }); } }); } public void overrideStuff<T>(AutoPersistenceModel pm) where T : I { pm.Override<T>( a => Override(a)); } public abstract void Override<T>(AutoMapping<T> am) where T:I; } And a specific implementation : public class VersionAwareAlteration : AutomappingInterfaceAlteration<IVersionAware> { public override void Override<T>(AutoMapping<T> am) { am.Map(x => x.Version).Column("VersionTest"); am.ApplyFilter<VersionFilter>(); } } Unfortunately I get the following error now : [InvalidOperationException: Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.] System.ThrowHelper.ThrowInvalidOperationException(ExceptionResource resource) +51 System.Collections.Generic.Enumerator.MoveNextRare() +7661017 System.Collections.Generic.Enumerator.MoveNext() +61 System.Linq.WhereListIterator`1.MoveNext() +156 FluentNHibernate.Utils.CollectionExtensions.Each(IEnumerable`1 enumerable, Action`1 each) +239 FluentNHibernate.Automapping.AutoMapper.ApplyOverrides(Type classType, IList`1 mappedProperties, ClassMappingBase mapping) +345 FluentNHibernate.Automapping.AutoMapper.MergeMap(Type classType, ClassMappingBase mapping, IList`1 mappedProperties) +43 FluentNHibernate.Automapping.AutoMapper.Map(Type classType, List`1 types) +566 FluentNHibernate.Automapping.AutoPersistenceModel.AddMapping(Type type) +85 FluentNHibernate.Automapping.AutoPersistenceModel.CompileMappings() +746 EDIT 2 : I managed to get a bit further; I now invoke "Override" using reflection for each class that implements the interface : public abstract class PersistenceOverride<I> { public void DoOverrides(AutoPersistenceModel model,IEnumerable<Type> Mytypes) { foreach(var t in Mytypes.Where(x=>typeof(I).IsAssignableFrom(x))) ManualOverride(t,model); } private void ManualOverride(Type recordType,AutoPersistenceModel model) { var t_amt = typeof(AutoMapping<>).MakeGenericType(recordType); var t_act = typeof(Action<>).MakeGenericType(t_amt); var m = typeof(PersistenceOverride<I>) .GetMethod("MyOverride") .MakeGenericMethod(recordType) .Invoke(this, null); model.GetType().GetMethod("Override").MakeGenericMethod(recordType).Invoke(model, new object[] { m }); } public abstract Action<AutoMapping<T>> MyOverride<T>() where T:I; } public class VersionAwareOverride : PersistenceOverride<IVersionAware> { public override Action<AutoMapping<T>> MyOverride<T>() { return am => { am.Map(x => x.Version).Column(VersionFilter.COLUMNNAME); am.ApplyFilter<VersionFilter>(); }; } } However, for one reason or another my generated hbm files do not contain any "filter" fields.... Maybe somebody could help me a bit further now ??
